You've been so busy! All of these pieces are so fun. And I appreciate how gentle you are with personal criticisms. I don't love everything I've ever made, and I sometimes have trouble articulating that. P.S. Shame on Shein for ripping off your pattern. They're just the worst. Wish there was a class action lawsuit for all of the artists they've ripped off.
hello 🥹🥹 i wish there was one as well - i genuinely don’t understand how they can just get away with it especially after being called out on it by more than dozens of artists. also, even though there are pieces we don’t like and pieces that we won’t in the future- just creating them gives us more skill to make even better designs later on :,) so that’s a good thing to keep it mind
@@sophiebraun1650 The fibers rubbing together into those lint balls does thin out the fabric slowly, but shaving it off doesn't, since you're just getting rid of the lint balls and it doesn't shave off any of the intact fibers!
I really enjoy that you put captions into your video! I love showing my mom videos that involve craftsmanship, but i always end up explaining them to her because she’s deaf. captions really help, and im incredibly grateful for this inclusion!
@@ikoxun I saw that!! Honestly I really like captions inputted through the UA-cam closed caption system because then they're really easy to adjust to my eyesight but yes, so grateful for closed captions!!!
If u click on any video there should be a box that pops up that says CC, for closed captions. U can turn them on and off whenever u want. I'm sure it's not accurate all the time, but better than no captions! ❤❤ hope this was helpful.
Girl mockery is the best form of flattery. I understand it's annoying when huge corporations rip off your designs but they will never make it as good as you❤
I'm so hooked on your videos. I'm from Sweden with long and strong knitting- and crochet culture. I'm always told how everything is supposed to be made. I can't even tell my mom what I'm planning to make without being cross-examed on every tecnique, yarn, pattern I'm planning to use. I hope you realise how liberating it is to watch you making your freaking gorgeus clothing based on gut instinct and curiosity rather than math and rules.
🤝🤝 That's why i don't tell my family what i'm making and usually when they see the finished piece, they find it beautiful. As long as i don't tell them how i made it lol
A tip for the feel of yarn, before making your sweater or shirt, grab the raw skein of yarn and hold it on your neck. If it’s comfortable then you’re a okay to use it. If it’s not, then you’re going to spend a lot of time on something you’re not gonna wear :) (little tip my mom learned in Norway when she learned to knit)
I have a tip for strengthening the straps of your bags that I do a lot, especially with the granny square tote bags! If you slip stitch around the straps and edge of the bag, it helps keep everything in place and keeps the straps from stretching too much. I started doing this because the first bag I had made for myself stretched way too much and felt super unstable. Hope this helps!!
too dope keep thriving much love to you and your channel. Seeing black creators crochet/knit makes me feel good representation is everything!!!!! (you have helped me so much on my journey)
I also want to say, I found your channel while recovering from ankle surgery and your videos have really helped keep the “post surgery depression” away. You’ve helped me stay motivated to craft so thank you💕💕💕
i’ve read a couple methods to soften cheap acrylic yarn, one is to wash with baby shampoo and then work some conditioner into the fibers, then rinse + roll in a towel to get moisture out, then lay flat to dry. another method is washing with vinegar
I can confirm this tip works! I've soaked pieces I've made from cheap feeling acrylic yarn in conditioner and then washed it and it's like a completely different garment!!!
I would suggest making a binder of the yarn wrappers organized by brand, material, weight, then color, and then adding a little snip of the yarn. I always keep the wrappers in case i need to buy more yarn. You don’t have to keep the wrappers you can just write all the information on a paper and use the Pokémon card binder sleeves for better organization. By the way, Im 13 and I have been crocheting for about 2 years and I always watch your videos while I crochet. You’re the best!!! And don’t be too judgmental about your pieces because I love them and I would never be able to have the focus to make sweater after sweater without doing other projects in between. Keep on crocheting!! 😊
this video is like going down memory lane for me because i remember your videos for almost all of these and wow its so amazing seeing how much you've grown
Omg, you inspire me so much I cannot believe all the things you made, beautiful. I learned a long time ago, that if you soak hard yarn from Walmart in fabric softener for like a day, then just wash it with your regular clothes, it makes the yarn so nice and soft. Try it for your jacket. Did it the other day for a snood I made.
I started your following channel not to long ago and it inspired me to try and get into crochet 💫✨ I can’t wait to get crochet hooks and start following your tutorials. Thank you so much ❤❤😊😊

How does this have 1k likes and only 4 comments? Geez, I can try to fix that 😅
Well ...
also tip for the fuzzy yarn thing, get a fabric shaver! its a little shaver that glides over clothing and gently takes off that lint
That's a great tip!
Also if you do put your items in the dryer use little to no heat to avoid fuzz, air drying is highly recommended
stupid question but could that eventually thin out the yarn after a while?
