    every single time I chain one, my mind IMMEDIATELY erases the memory of chaining one and I have to take one out to see if I actually chained one😂

      How much time do you think you put into it? I wish there was a resource that gave a realistic idea of how long different things take for a beginner; I know it couldn't be perfect or precise, but having an idea before jumping into something would be so so helpful

    This tutorial has been really cool so far. Only think I would mention is sometimes it would be helpful to know what it is supposed to look like at certain points. Since it’s not a fixed pattern, it requires a bit of guesswork to figure out what it is supposed to look like.
    So like describing/showing us where on your body it comes up to before you start separating the sleeves could be really helpful! X

  • @hannak5585

    I am still in progress, but I noticed that 200g is actually way too much (at least for size XS). I am making it in solid color and I got 4 50g skeins of mohair. I am double pulling from 2 skeins. Currently I am starting my sleeves and I still have 80-70 percent of each skein left. It really looks like I might get it done with 100g. I understand that if u want 3-4 colors you will need to purchase at least 3-4 skeins so this will add up to 200g. But for those making a solid color version I advise getting 100 g if you are S-XS

    • @madeinthemoment
      @madeinthemoment  2 роки тому +11

      yes thank you for this comment! I was judging based on the number of skeins I bought but didn't necessarily finish all of them. this is a very helpful note for those making it in a solid color 🥰

    What happens if the first row of granny clusters does not fall onto an increase stitch because that’s what happened to me. Okay, the granny stitch increase should go into the increase space regardless of it you skip a stitch before it or not. So you could either skip 2 stitches between your last granny cluster and your increase space or you could just put 2 granny clusters next to each other. Let me know if that helps!

    • @noelanichi
      @noelanichi Місяць тому

      That is exactly what happened to me. Turns out, on the first go round of the sleeves, i was hdc into every stitch of the granny clusters instead of every other stitch. Also ended up doing treble crochets for my first several rows instead, and did 3 rows where I decreased at the corners to bring it in. Now mine fits great! Sometimes you gotta go off script depending on your tension and crocheting style!

    I so love this pattern! but for the life of me can't figure out how to get around the awkward right angle i'm getting on the sleeves despite decreasing!

    Can i use a different material if mohair is a bit itchy for me? As long as I use 8mm hook? And can I make the sleeves longer without problem?☺️ how long does the yarn you’ve used run? Sorry for the many questions!

    This is my first clothes pattern I’m committing to and I’m really confused on the sleeves. I don’t know if I did something wrong but my sleeves are too big underneath and I’m only 4 rows in. Do you suggest doing some decreases under the arm?

    omgg my increases hve been so wonky cause the girl who taught me never mentioned to chain in between my double crochets 🤡 whoopsie now i know why i had to make my shirts twice as big to fit on my shoulders ;-;

      Yes! I have been meaning to do this. I will post about it on Instagram and link it in the description when I finish writing it. This is my design so I hope no one else tries to make a written pattern of this :)

    i added 5 to the foundation row because i'm using a different yarn weight giving me 55 to start instead of 50, and 10% of that is 5.5. should i just count and mark 5 anyways (for the increases) or will that mess up my proportions? should i go back and add an extra foundation double crochet to make it even? i've been crocheting a few months but i 'm definitely still a beginner lol
