The button next to headlight controls activates the front 'All weather lights'. It turns on the cornering lights permanently which is that inner light that comes on at 20:21. This provides more visibility low down to the left and right corner and essentially replaces traditional front fog lights.
Isn't "all weather lights" just a euphemism for "fog lights" like "domestic engineer" is a "housewife"? We have an Alltrack and I always called that feature automatically turning on the "fog light" when cornering slow and the brights are off.

Bending lighting. Awesome design!
Very well done love the intro! The "physical key" is a valet key. Usually they can unlock the driver's side door and start the car, but can't unlock the trunk or the glove box. In case you need to store valuables in your car before entering your destination. Imho glove box is your best bet and your valet will just stumble upon change instead of jewelry\cash\IDs! lol
I definitely like the quality of the backup camera and 360
it doesn’t have the gesture control. that’s the 9.25” discover pro system that’s only found on the e-golf in the states. in europe, the arteon has the discover pro system.

Very well done review. I know people are hating on the dash but I really like it. I absolutely hate the new fad of sticking a tablet on the dash so I appreciate this much more. Easier to reach the screen for both passengers, and not in my line of sight to be in the way like other screens. Steering wheel is a bit boring but I think they did a really nice job of everything else inside. Still not sure about that front grill but this R Line in white does look better than other reviews I've seen. But far too $$$ for the engine that's in it. Love that more companies are making sport backs!

72k mile warranty. i’ve never had any problem with any VW i’ve owned. just take care of it (follow the maintenance book)

I feel like sometimes he misses important features. for example, when he was showing the passenger door at 5:20, there are what looks to be 3 speakers in the door. i’ve never seen a car with 3 speakers in 1 door. but he didn’t talk about it at all, instead just talking about a chrome plate on the door....
heyitsme Most cars with more than 8 speakers has 3 speakers in the door. My 2005 jetta has 3 speakers in the doors.
I’ve noticed that UA-cam is ramping up the number of ads to try and force us to upgrade to UA-cam premium. This review is not worth the number of ads.

Nope, the map can be on both screen simultaneously... why would they take that away from 2018 to 2019 production?! As for that mistery button you can see only on the highway night time, when to your side is the centre of the road, you can see the light is widenning or narrowing, it is anti-blinding feature to protect the eyes of the opposite direction drivers, it moves entire ilumination a bit to the right side. One press of the switch would toggle on and off, when you have cars coming from the other direction. In auto mode the entire light/illumination system turns subtile and follow the road as it curves on turns.
Nice one vw but engine and wiring are my concerns.
6 years 72k mile warranty. Worry after that period passes

I would rather have our Alltrack. It has greater carrying capacity, better mpg, has the same chassis, costs about half as much, and is available with a manual.
However the drive style is night and day different and the tech is superior to what you would find in an Audi. Thank you for your input.

To test leg room set the driver seat to a normal upright driving position... then sit behind.... everyone knows this
You don't get in the passenger side and lay down like a teenager and put the seat all the way back then complain there's not a ton of room behind you could see you had the seat back reclined a bunch

@@MikesCarInfo I know the Passat has a bunch of room front and rear and the Arteon is said to have more however I'm not sure it's a noticable amount however I think it's best in its class for the room and quality feel of interior surfaces

Totally agree...I have a 2019 Tiguan and thought the same thing when they gave me the fob. How much could it possibly cost us to get the European fob? Check out some of the overseas Arteon reviews to see the difference.
I received two key fobs. One like this and the other definitely premium with chrome and feels much heavier.
