  • Fresh looks paired with fresh tech might be the Arteon's biggest combo, but can it follow through elsewhere? Watch to find out.
    @10:58 I said 4motion was standard on SEL, it is standard on SEL Premium.
    Thank you Royal on the Eastside for providing me with the Arteon,

    The Arteon is a beautiful car - and awesome handling! And now with 300hp!

    Great video. I chose the right car, Arteon SEL R Line with hardly any miles on it. Got it for a great price too!!! Excited.

    Amazing bro, your content gets better each and every time. One suggestion, try reviewing the Camry XSE V6 next bro. With the dual tone paint.💪

    Great review. New subscriber. Waited two years for this but finally ended up with an Audi A6 and I’m not disappointed. Still like the looks of this though. Diggin those socks too.

    This is love this is what we call a sedan. The best and the fav 👌🏼👌🏼 still it’s underrated, looks like VW has to invest a. Bit on its marketing. Driving bmw 3 series but this for sure my next car going to be ❤️❤️❤️

    How does the car handle compared to kia stinger? I want something fun to drive in the corners

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  4 роки тому +1

      I've only driven the stinger a few times and I thought the stinger was more fun. It felt more eager to turn and accelerate, especially with the 3.3t. The arteon feels confident still but the Stinger is great on a backroad where this is just good👍

    Only a small chunk of Americans/Canadians are as tall as you. I saw a 6'1" reviewer who seemed to be comfortable in the rear seat with no slouching.

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah, most people should be more than okay in the back of the arteon. Torso length is a big factor too so sometimes people might be shorter with longer torsos and vice versa. The sloping roof in the arteon is nowhere near as intrusive as the slop in the older CC, I had to slouch quite a bit in one of those things.

      I'm 5'9.5", and I find the headroom in back a bit constraining. I don't sit there, so it wasn't much of a concern. I also saw that 6'1" reviewer, and was surprised that he didn't find it a bit low.

      I agree, I'm straight but I'd give anything to at least look like him. Being shortish sucks. lol! I'd probably advise him to use less of a "nice guy" vibe when out there at the bars/clubs, and get a tad more "Alpha mystery" going. That, plus a few clothing tweaks, and this dude is getting all the chicks.

      VW uses durable materials. All materials are soft touch, beside a few places where harder plastic is better.

    I actually want to trade in my 2018 Audi A6 for one of these.

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  4 роки тому

      I'd recommend the arteon to people looking at base luxury vehicles but one thing you will really notice going from the A6 to the Arteon is the material choice, the arteon is on par with 30k vehicles while the a6 feels like double the cost in that regard (because it is). The a6 feels more substantial if that makes sense. The arteon is still certainly worth looking at if you want out of your A6. If you can, let me know what you think about the arteon when comparing it to your A6, I'm curious!

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews 4 роки тому +2

      @@Realistick That's not true. Both are very upscale, and use the same exact material's. Arteon also has Nappa, Massage, and much more.

    I'd prefer to have none of the active safety tech based upon its function in a 2017 Passat I have. I've found it to be more annoying than useful. Several times in 4500 miles I"ve had false positives for the autonomous front braking. I've never had an occasion to want or need land departure/lane keeping. I've noticed numerous times that the blind spot monitoring icon in the mirror is washed out in bright daylight. I would not rate them as a positive addition to the car. However, I do understand that some want them to be competitive. I've looked at the new Arteon and compared it to my current CC. I didn't see as much as I would have liked to have seen to make the Arteon a compelling buy. I would get the SE FWD as I think it is the best bang for the buck. The uplevel trims add features, but for me at least, features I do not want. I would bet that the Arteon would did considerably better than the sticker based on my CC. Strictly highway driving, I can get between 34 mpg and 37 mpg. I'm guessing the Arteon would be the same. Not a bad car by any means, I would just like to see a bit lower pricing and some more choice on the tech options.

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  5 років тому +1

      Yeah, I see why people wouldn't care for the active safety suite, but a lot of cars now have it so that's the only reason why I mentioned that the base trim didn't have it. I personally haven't had any issue with false positives in any of the cars that I've driven with active safety systems, but, I've probably driven 500 miles total in cars that have it. I agree, I think the SE fwd or 4motion is probably the best for someone who doesn't care about all of that. Big advantage with the Arteon over the CC would be the back seat space, power, and the more modern interior. If I was buying it I would probably step up to the SEL for that virtual cockpit and the wheels. The car handles great and it's a supple ride, worth the price premium to me, but it should still start probably a few grand cheaper to grab attention. Thank you for the feedback!!

    • @ksorsomeplace
      @ksorsomeplace 5 років тому +1

      @@Realistick That's the other thing I was going to mention. I've always wanted to see full gauges in the car and yet the digital cockpit does not deliver. You still get only the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge + speedometer and tachometer. I want to see the oil pressure and voltmeter gauges. They might as well exchange the fuel gauge placement for an oil temp gauge. To me, this would make for a more interesting and engaging instrument cluster. Nice review, btw!

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  5 років тому

      @@ksorsomeplace thank you, and yeah, given that they could display about any data they could desire, an oil gauge among other things would be nice. The next time I review a car with a virtual cockpit, I will look for that stuff and see if i can find it.
