@@lolwise1682 bisexual, plus he love Mary more then anyone, if only he gave someone a condom, or they have a condom, and I hope he didn't have like drug in needles and share with someone who has aids
Bryan Dalton dalton Listen to Russel Hitchcock in his prime (I Can Wait Forever is the best showcase of his voice) lots of people aren’t gonna like me for this, but I think he has a better voice and he can go stupidly high without sounding like he is even trying, as well as holding notes out for a really long time.
Goolash They are neck and neck to me, but Freddie was greater manipulator of his voice. He could switch from any genre to another and still make it feel at home. He orchestrated his vocals in the studio amazingly (the opening to this song was all Freddie). There can be an argument for who's a better frontman, but to me, Queen were the staple arena rock band. They made many iconic songs specifically for the crowd to join in. Freddie has this connection with the audience that's strong enough to have gained the appreciation of the entire Live Aid stadium, despite who they came for.
1st part: a man has commmited homicide and will be put to death, so he's saying goodbye to his crying mother, whose whipping is represented by the guitar solo. 2nd: "I see a little silhouette..." the man is at the Gates of Hell (Thunderbolt and Lightning... )but he's still fighting, along with his mother's prayers for salvation: "I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me / He's just a poor boy from a poor family, spare his life from this monstruosity" 3rd: "Bismillah!" means "In the Name of God", which marks the entry of angels and begins the battle for this poor soul: "We will not let you go / Let him go! Bismillah!..." 4th: "So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye?" The demons are angry and losing, and he's "just gonna get outta here". Angels win the battle and the man is forgiven.
My understanding of the song is a bit different, but I'll admit I might be wrong. I understood the first part the way you did. The second part, "I see a little silhouetto of a man..." I always understood to be the character's trial, where the town/community is rallying around him, "spare him his life from this monstrosity," and the court saying, "no, we will not let him go" and arguing with the community. The third part, "so you think you can stone me and spit in my eye," is the character raging at the court for refusing to hear his argument, that his crime was justified, and instead just condemning him to death, without even considering evidence, just because he's a poor and undesirable citizen (as opposed to the rich and influential members of the court.) And the final part, "nothing really matters," is the character being led to the gallows, having finally accepted his unjust fate.
See I always took the Bismillah and “spare him his life from this monstrosity” and “will you let me go”’ parts as the jury deliberating about whether to send him to the chair or not. I suppose the song is open to all sorts of interpretation, interesting take on the song I’d never considered though!
@@mustaphaothman3036 yep. That's what I wanted.. but then I am a Scottish old fart (well middle aged). Grew up with Queen and all different types but Freddies and the groups harmonics made this a musical master piece! Also the 1st real video. Miss you Freddie. I hope you are with the ancestors and still in our hearts today. As my now favourite band would sing 'No one leaves you when they live in your hearts and minds.' No better way to put it.
Fun fact: Brian May, the lead guitarist for Queen plays his guitar with a coin and always has. Also made that guitar by hand with his dad from a 100 year old fireplace mantle when he was like 16. It's the only guitar he's ever used for a song or show really. Most likely the most valuable guitar in the world. DATS TUFF!
Now you know why so many people say they listen to everything. There's a lot of good music out there bro. Got to give everything a chance. Queens lead singers Freddie Mercury. Arguably the best frontman for a band of all time. All those changes in the speed, Rhythm, sound of the song are called Dynamics Changes bro. Dynamics changes can really swing your emotions and impact your listening experience. The sound swaying from left to right in your headphones is called "panning" the music. It's possible when recording in stereo. You can make the sound of a songs balance change from left to right (or fade front to back if you're in a full surround sound setting). Very common and extremely effective tool in recording. So glad you're broadening your horizons bro this is a really great reaction video!! Much respect for you giving different genres a chance. See now you're not a hip hop fan. You're becoming a MUSIC FAN!! Music is awesome brother. Rock on my dude.
Actually, he said doesn't sound like rock.....right now* Me'thinks he probably heard the whole song before. Would be hard not to have heard it, as famous as it is. Still enjoyed the video. :)
*"I'm raging on this side and crying on this side."* - exactly, that's the point: that's why really *good* rock music _seems_ bipolar. It's supposed to act and function as emotional expulsion. An expression of frustration which allows for a cathartic release.
Oh yes,Most definitely.. To think that radio stations refused to play it because of the length ??!! Said no one would want to listen to it??!! I have listened to this song my entire life, I know it by heart, and still get chills every time I listen to it. I always knew it was amazing, but it took me years to truly experience and understand the layers of emotions here. Shaq understood it completely the first time through -- and truly gets it. The fact that he can summarize it so well and succinctly on the spot is incredible. #PureGenius No wonder you're the #YTGOAT.
@@teamcybr8375 I think Laura is probably a she, and if she finds him annoying she has a right to say so. I think Shaq can take the criticism along with the praise.
@@MickTheQuickk I'd agree if the criticism was in any way constructive. "You do X thing that's kind of annoying" is constructive feedback. He could hear it and possibly work to change that thing. "You're annoying" is just being unkind with no purpose.

Killer Bee sorry it wasn’t about being gay but more about several struggles ... or as roger taylor said it’s about a murderer with a lot of nonsense in the middle.freddie says it’s about what you want it to be .he started writing it in the 60s , but evidently knew exactly what he wanted . Some tracks layered over 180 rimes! .. oh and by the way being gay doesn’t mean you’re not a man !

I wonder if they ever see any reaction videos... This one they really need to see 😊 I really wish Freddie could watch them and see how he's still impacting people almost 30 years after he died..
I actually sent this to Brian May weeks ago. And since he hasn't pulled it down he must have enjoyed it. I'm sure Brian would laugh at Shaq's comments too. I know Freddie would have loved it.
Its crazy to see how low budget he started off at and is now easily the most popular reactor on you tube and has millions of views with artists hitting him up. Hard work really does pay off
Welcome to the greatness that is Queen my friend, they have so so many amazing songs. The singer is called Freddie Mercury. Your face at the end, one of pure amazement at what you have just witnessed 😂
He was called Freddie Mercury? Lol. His name was Freddie Mercury. You call a fly a fly. You call a tree a tree. But this singer's name was Freddie Mercury.
This song is pure genius in every way. You know this because every single magazine on earth and critic hated it originally. It took decades for it to catch-up to our ears and minds. That shows the absolute brilliance of Freddy Mercury
@@bharrison4 It's still not a real "First Reaction" like the title promises. Look up "first time hearing bohemian rhapsody" and you'll find ton's of these bullshit videos that are just capitalizing on the movies success and giving these fake ass reactions. This dude even knew the melody after hardly even hearing it. The reaction is not genuine no matter how fun his personality is I guarantee. After I left that comment yesterday I did some more digging and even found other people realizing the same thing. Hell, it turns out Gus Johnson made a video about this over a year ago ua-cam.com/video/AEG_h2xB3g0/v-deo.html. Apparently I'm not the only one who senses the bs. But to be fair this No Life Shaq guy isn't the worst of the bunch and is more mild but it's still clearly not completely real.
My first time watching your videos. I dint know an adult never heard Queen. But after watching you instantly see what makes them a legend justifies their position as one of the greatest bands of all time
Queen covers so many genres that they are almost a genre of their own. From Metal (Stone Cold Crazy) to Rock'n'Roll (Crazy Little Thing Called Love), Blues (My Melancholy Blues), Ragtime (Seaside Rendezvous), Ballads (You Take My Breath Away) and everything in between. Not to mention world famous anthems like We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions. Film soudtracks like Flash Gordon and Highlander. Also Freddie sang with opera singer Montserrat caballe. There wasn't much Queen couldn't/didn't do. Of course there was also their legendary set during the Live Aid '85 charity concert which is recognised as one of, if not the best live rock performance of all time. Have to admit I also have a soft spot for Death On Two Legs, which was written by Freddie, supposedly when they discovered their manager at the time was screwing them over, which was why the band was almost broke. Let's just say the lyrics give the impression that they weren't too happy with him Lol.
Queen is unique: each member has written a song that has got to Number One in the charts. With today's level of "talent", can't see anyone equalling that. PS; songs in those days lasted 3-3 minutes at most. They were told that radio DJs would never play a song as long as this. Ha.
@@teaddub Bing was great, but didn't carry a crowd he same way, didnt have the same presence, and IMO didnt have the same power vocally as Freddie, but the two sang different styles of music.
@@_Fury And, of course, my very religious mother thought rock was devil music. She would cringe if she heard a note of it, so wouldn't listen long enough to hear the voice. Which she "couldn't understand the words" of anyway. Hehehe. I'm old.
Look at all top1000 of all times and Stairway to Heaven and Bohemian Rhapsody are the numbers 1 and 2. Sometimes they switch places but they are always the top 2. (as they should be)
Isn't that the best comment ever. Been listening to this song since the '70's and my man Shaq just nailed it with his comment. That is Bohemian Rhapsody summed up in a sentence right there lol.
RIP Freddy Mercury. Queen was so far ahead of their time they changed the game on so many levels. And truly there will never ever be another band like Queen or another front man like Freddy Mercury. They truly are legends. Often imitated but never duplicated.
why do you say they are ahead of time? Bands like Yes, Gentle Giant, Genesis and King crimson were far more experimental than Queen. Queen has great musicians but one thing is they werent that ahead of time. Their later albums appealed to the public like most prog bands that are sick of starving. Everyone imitates. No one creates in a vacuum. Not trying to argue so excuse the aggressive tone. I am genuinely interested in why you feel the way you do.
@@evanwolf6618 I believe you but once again progressive bands were already using synthetic instruments within the realm of what's called rock or metal. Progressive music is always ahead of everybody else.
It was about his homosexual experience coming from a religious family, and it was well hidden, because he came out during a time when nobody understood. In the interviews about this song he was very secretive about the meanings. He was a genius.
@@kachoww5981 haha ok buddy. You sound pretty homophobic, are you a straight white Male and a fan of Queen? Do you not realize that the guy died of aids that he got from having sex with men?
@Aqil Shahrani it could be, but it's about his experience, and his experience dealt with a lot of religious bs that he couldn't write about directly. How did this gay guy get fans of all sexualities? Cause he was a genious.
It's also a rhapsody, and this seems to be his first time hearing one of those, rhapsodies being much like medleys if medleys mixed musical styles instead of actual songs.
Watch the Freddie Mercury tribute concert, where Axl Rose does Bohemian Rhapsody, but more so in We Will Rock You. Axl bounces all over the place. Plays with the mic stand and all. Made me think he almost took on a Freddie impersonation, from Freddie's (Queen)Live Aid concert. See for yourself.
Freddie Mercury actually sang all the vocals to the intro. His band didn't sing that part even though it appears that they are. He sang all those parts. This is a genius song. (If you haven't done it yet, I recommend Meatloaf Two out of Three ain't bad as a good one to do. The first time I heard that I had to do a double take.)
May we add A Day In The Life by The Beatles too?! That's literally two songs in one, and so before their time as far as musical genius goes!! Well, in my humble opinion!
And No Life Shaq was never the same AGAIN...his mind wuz blown, enlightened, he wuz only seen forever after wandering the streets, shakin' his head, muttering, "queen, queen, queen"...
In a weird way, I envy you. I wish there was a way to experience music and humor the first time again, and these reaction videos from various people are the closest thing to that. "That sounds like christmas carol! They sound like angels!" Made my day
ya man. queen has been overplayed for me all my life but i will never forget the first time i heard this song. these reactions give me some of that feeling again man its great.
It’s because he was referencing a gun or shooting anyone. Freddie had aids and infected somebody with them which resulted in their death. Hence the “pulling his trigger” and that he’s no dead. This whole song is a play on Freddie’s battle with aids.
@Spastik did you even watch the video?? He said i heard in some radio before. I mean that's the same for me, at 2017 I'm staying in hostel my friends used to sing that often, and what i remember is only 'Mama ooooh' part...that part stays on my mind. But never really interested since I'm not into this kind of music. But at 2018 when i was in college one of my new friend played it. When that part came in, i remember my old friends and feels kinda nostalgic. And then i asked the artist name and the song name, I know about Queen but never listened to them, but I didn't expect of all bands to be Queens that sung this song, i thought the song was gonna be newer and not classics. And after that I'm interested and listen like all the time for 3 days😂 and cause of this Bohemian rhapsody, i started listening to lots of older songs like Hotel of California, She's gone, sweet child o' mine etc...
@Spastik what i want to say is music taste is different. Just because it has billions or millions of views doesn't mean we all know about them. Take 'Despacito' for example it was so popular, everyone was playing it so i know how it sounds like, but I don't like it personally so i never watch them my own, and i don't even know a single line of that song's lyrics😂
Queen is their own genre of music. There will never be another Queen, there doesn’t need to be. They left us with some of the greatest music anyone and everyone can love. Long live Queen! Freddy Mercury is the greatest performer of all time! From a 36 year old rap fan but fan of greatness.

Freddie has this connection with the audience that's strong enough to have gained the appreciation of the entire Live Aid stadium, despite who they came for.

seansulli4 you need to get your ears checked. He isn't in the same Universe as Freddie.
1st part: a man has commmited homicide and will be put to death, so he's saying goodbye to his crying mother, whose whipping is represented by the guitar solo.
2nd: "I see a little silhouette..." the man is at the Gates of Hell (Thunderbolt and Lightning... )but he's still fighting, along with his mother's prayers for salvation: "I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me / He's just a poor boy from a poor family, spare his life from this monstruosity"
3rd: "Bismillah!" means "In the Name of God", which marks the entry of angels and begins the battle for this poor soul: "We will not let you go / Let him go! Bismillah!..."
4th: "So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye?" The demons are angry and losing, and he's "just gonna get outta here". Angels win the battle and the man is forgiven.
wow! u gave me goosebombs that was awsome
do cristians say bisnilah. because muslim say it.
