I have been a fan of Seiko divers watches since the mid 80s, and until the pandemic was unaware of the realm of homage watches,and I have a few San martins ,etc and they are all very good watches. On occasion I will ponder the dynamics behind them being sold at such low prices and it never seems to offer a nice conclusion. I’m also wondering how much money is being lost by western companies but they seem to rely heavily on only 15% of the components of their Swiss brands to be Swiss. I would not be surprised if the Chinese had a military intelligence agency that is actively involved in disrupting western economics and redirecting money to Chicom industries..look how fentanyl has ruined the lives of so many people ,and how much money they are making on those horrible dollar stores
Never will understand why people buy and wear copy watches, like these ones, Copy of a Omega Seamaster, Rolex Explorer and Rolex AirKing..........How Awkward the situation if someone sees the watch, thinks its a Rolex and asks "oh cool is this a Explorer "....OH no, its a "Want to be a Rolex" exactly looking like the original ??? If you dont want to by a Rolex, there are some many great "original" SEIKO watches of great quality in same price range e.g. Seiko Turtle, Seiko Captain Willard, Seiko Samurai...all with a own great history.....Or certina PH300 or PH500
I see a $10,000 reason to get a homage/copy watch vs a real Rolex. I also see Seiko’s are moving out of the budget watch categories since increasing their prices while lowering their specifications like water resistance, etc. Not looking to start any controversy but some just like to wear good looking styles.
I used to think like that, but turns out good looking watch is a good looking watch. Especially when it's a high quality copy for like 0.5% of the original. The other reason is I got my 20 buck Panerai copy stolen, even tho I told them it's an eFFing quartz crap and totally different brand. Fckers didn't believe me. So I'd rather don't care and keep my hand intact, yet still have a good looking watch. Usually people who buy copies also have a wide variety of original watches too, this is just to mix things up a little and scratch the itch.

Those are three good looking options. The Explorer homage is actually an Air-King homage.
The Rolex explorer homage ended up spending the most time on my wrist with the day window over the Rolex Air-King homage. (clarification)
I like the speed master moon watch homage v3 black face with white. Wish the bracelet was better my spring bar broke and it’s not a traditional size.
I ended up putting a rubber black band on mine.

Actually its pretty stupid wearing an expensive watch if work requires real activity. Seiko's are way overpriced for their specs. compared to ie. PD.
