When you show more than one watch in the same shot, thank you for synchronizing the watches to the exact second. My OCD appreciates the effort you took to accomplish that.
Pagani is very popular in Indonesia. People really like Pagani homages, it's not without reason that in Indonesia the average salary per person is 300 US dollars for one month, and in some cities it is sometimes less than that. For developing countries like Indonesia, Pagani Design really helps make people feel what it's like to wear a watch, of course at an affordable price. cheap for people in America does not mean cheap for the average person in Indonesia, because our currency is weak. At least homage watches are the answer to the feeling of wearing and owning a watch.
I love watches and enjoy having a variety to wear with outfits outside of work but being a family man I don’t have a lot of money to spend on them so I appreciate videos like this very much. It’s one thing to buy a cheap watch but comprising on quality is another.
My first Pepsi GMT didn’t work and I was absolutely gutted . It was a gift from my lovely mother and she kindly comforted me and I sent it back and replaced it with an identical watch which isn’t perfect at all, but works well, looks great, and is great to wear. (The bezel is a touch sloppy and it runs fast. That can probably be adjusted). I also have a Pagani Daytona and Seamaster and they’re absolutely fabulous. The panda Daytona is just stunning. I highly recommend Pagani design
My GMT which surprisingly came with a 120 click bezel before they advertised it, is still running at +1 second every 4-5 days after a year of ownership. Definitely my most accurate mechanical watch, including Swiss ones & looks awesome getting beaten up on various straps including the jubilee. Perfect travel beater for me, when we can finally get away again 😀
@@johnsrabe Yep, the aluminium Pepsi bezel is ageing nicely given I put it through a bit of a tough life, from multiday hikes to 4wding & fixing up a Land Rover Defender. Glad I didn't go ceramic bezel, as nice as they look, because this one, if it lasts, will look like a proper tool watch should, despite the lack of world travel so far, for obvious reasons being in 🇦🇺
The Pagani Coke GMT has my eye. Ever since I laid on the old Rolex Coke GMT it has become a grail watch for me. Granted I'd rather Tudor do the Coke GMT to get the cost down a smidge but right now, the only ones doing them, are homage watchmakers or you have to get into custom modding
At first I was skeptical, but after checking the internet for many weeks and hours of browsing, I just can't find a flaw that can turn me off. I mean for the price? C'mon, one can't really ask for more. It's far from perfect, but it definitely is amazing for the price. I've had mine for 1 year and I wear it 24/7 and only takes it off when taking baths and oh boy is it amazing. I have the PD-1638, lacks features but I really just got it for its skeletal looks and design. It does not have a date, and it does not illuminate but the style is such a conversation starter. It has a leather strap which is so far even after a year is still flawless. The bezel is a mirror finish stainless steel. At $56 (USD), it ain't bad at all.
This channel cured me of my terrible G-Shock addiction. I am being completely serious. I have learned so much from Jody and I still love Casio non-G's, they can't be beaten in terms of cost performance but I have learned there are other fantastic brands out there. Thanks a lot, Jody👍💖
I have 2720 and I can confirm that it is a very nice looking, accurate and reliable chronograph. For me there is no better quality watch in this price category. 🙂
I bought the No Time To Dive homage after your first review and bought it on the rubber strap, and I LOVE it. However, the supplied rubber strap angles downward from the lugs, which doesn't effect comfort, but was too steep an angle for an ideal fit for me. I replaced it with a black sailcloth strap and now it's perfect. Sure, the bezel insert could use a little more glue to stop from a small rattle when you tap it, but I expected that sort of deficiency so it doesn't bother me. A simple fix, but I can't be bothered. haha Thanks for the recommendation!
I only have one Pagani its the 1707 chronograph and its actually 200m water resistance dude, it has screw down pushers too, the dial and finish is excellent for very little money , first pagani and first Ali purchase 👏
Just wanna say the script/wording in this video is really good - informative and concise but entertaining, caveats very well phrased etc. Top work Jody
Got the Pagani "Speedmaster" (second version with the white hands) on your recommendation, and love it save one problem. I don't know if this is particular to mine, but when the watch clasp is buckled, I only have to press down on one of the two buttons to get it to come undone. Can't speak to every watch out there, but I can say with confidence my Steeldive 1970 at the same price point doesn't do that. Threw it on a 20mm Barton black leather strap and it became a very nice dressy-ish watch.
Just ordered the 1667 from your link, love Pagani’s, this will be my 3rd and definitely not my last! Keep up the great content! You need to let more people know about shorter links on the front of the strap to make it sit better on the wrist! I changed all of mine and they are way more comfortable.
Thanks to your earlier review, I've just ordered the Seestern Sub300t (version 2). Fingers crossed it lives up to the great review. Thanks for all your hard work steering us in the right direction, Jody ⌚👍
I ordered a coke bezel GMT. 3 months later I received the Batman. It’s actually a good watch, well made and accurate. I just don’t like the Batman. Got in touch with Pagani and they said return it and they’d send the right one. Wasn’t going to wait another 6 months just to get the right one so asked them to just post me the bezel insert to which they agreed. 12 months later and I’m still waiting. Would have probably bought a couple more of their watches if the customer service matched the value.
I've purchased several Pagani watches, but I have found spending a few extra dollars to get a Steel Dive, results in a more satisfying experience as regards overall quality; especially when it comes to lume.
I have the speedy version 3, with the white hands. Love it. Think my next watch will be the PD1691 or the PD1752. Like you said, I need a dress watch for the corner of my box.
12:30 - You're probably the ONLY UA-camr who's including this very model with the NH35A movement and a slightly altered bezel, rather than the standard Aquaracer homage with NH36A day/date and the standard bezel! I own this model since August and (almost) wear it daily, and I've had zero issues with it. It's a great homage with high quality materials, a very reliable movement and definitely the closest you'll get to an actual Aquaracer if you're on a tight budget!
I'm now on my second Pagani. I first got the 1731 based on a review you did. I figured for the money it was a reasonable risk and of course it turned out to be way better than I expected. Based on how well that went I then got the 1717 which arrived just a couple of days ago and again, is way better than it should ever be.
Regarding the reliability of the DG5833: I have two, an Explorer 2 and a GMT Master. Neither has given me any problems. In fact the GMT Masters movement is keeping time like a thermometer. I was so impressed I made t he GMT my daily driver.
I went through quite a few Paganis and sold each one again within a year or two, except one. The PD-1651 (yachtmaster with grey sunburst dial and silver bezel). It's just so pretty!
I have lots of Pagani's and that one just might be my favorite (though my bezel has more backplay than many of the others in the collection). But I'm also holding on to the large collection of others I have.
Great list Jody, the pd1692 is a solid choice, have one currently and it's really good value. Also recommend the pd1711 planet ocean chronograph homage, one of the best finished watches I've seen for the price, really affordable in the sales too. I also like the daytona, I have the faux meteorite dial and it's brilliant value.
I have a few Pagani watches and love your channel. My latest Pagani s the 1707 and I have to tell you is spot on accurate less than 1 sec a MONTH! I say less than because I have no way to see the error after setting it to my computer (world time clock) I can't see both at the same time so it's hard to see if it change any time at all over the month! I have a daytona "homage" Pagani (same movement) and it is around 4 sec a month fast. This one is NOT! Cheers (I know that aren't all the same. but I can't be happier with the accuracy of the 1707)
Ive just bought the NTTD one on a mesh bracelet. Unfortunately it no longer has an exhibition case back, and i think has the sekio epson yn55 movement. Nice watch and the mesh bracelet is very comfy.
I got the older Pagani Submariner clone, and it is just too big, and the bezel sucks. I picked up another when they redesigned it, and it is excellent. Smaller size, better bezel. Those were my only complaints about the old one. Now it's perfect. Oh yeah, old one had a lug width of 21.5mm (lmao what?), but the redesigned on is 20mm. Oh, and improved lume. I would highly recommend it now.
Thanks again Jody for the helpful list! I bought the No Time To Die Seamaster last year after watching your video and I will say that the mesh watch band is the way to go on this one. I didn’t buy the Pagani band but another brand and it truly takes this watch up to another level and makes it more of a dress watch. We’ll have to chat after you watch the film: mixed emotions for me being a die hard Bond fan. Enjoy!
You may well be aware, but I thought I'd mention for anyone's sake that Pagani has responded to feedback on its Explorer homage (I bought the one with the 3/6/9 dial) and removed the near-universally unpopular "P.T. Time" text from the dial. I didn't hate it, but I sure like it better without. I'd watched a number of your Pagani videos, and I decided to take the plunge. Very pleased with both the watch and the Ali Express shipping speed. I love high-quality homages and the whole idea of attention to specs (and one's economic reality) over brand display.
Perfect timing Jody! I was "feeling brave" so I went with a Pagani rootbeer two-tone with rose gold, great price for 11/11...enjoy the movie, it's entertaining!
Greetings. I went over $120 against my usual practice as I'd better apply it towards a Seiko Presage Sharp Edge GMT. I spent $130 on the Paul Newman Daytona with the 🐼 dial. I generally avoid 40mm watches since I've grown accustomed to 42-44. My Samsung is a 46 that's my limit. But I cannot believe how well executed this vintage homage is. It's truly incredible that they accomplished at this price point. It has a great sapphire crystal which alone is worth the admission price. The dial is spot on. Zero lume however on the hands. The bezel is ceramic. The case is nicely polished. The bracelet has screw down links instead of the usual friction. They even include a little flat head screwdriver. The only downside is that there is no real micro adjustment or half links. But a little loose or a little tight is not a deal breaker. I can justify this homage because even if someone could afford any Paul Newman they're not walking down the street with $100k on their wrist unless they travel with an armed bodyguard. I also ordered the black Daytona with silver dial but it seemed like the coating would be difficult to repair if were scratched. And the dial although the applied hour markers looked pretty good just didn't have the presence of the panda. I honestly don't believe you'll get a better watch for $130 or less.
I got the Omega seamaster 300 homage, honestly the 316L stainless steel looked very raw , like the steel used on screws and bolts,I used couple of times stainless steel polisher on it , even on the brushed sites, now looks actually very good, doesn't matter if it's a 100 bucks or a thousand watch,if you take good care of it ,it would look great!
I've had the green Tag replica for over a year now.. it works great.. sorry to hear the trouble other people have had with their watches. I've bought some other junk Chinese watches.. that were broken when I got them.. a Debert IWC homage and a Paulareis.. I guess you might get a good one.... and get some bad ones.. I have a 2 cheap Sewor watches that still work. They aren't very accurate but for $20 a piece.. I'm surprised they still work after 4 years!
I’ve just noticed the reference number for the Pagani Speedmaster is 1701. Starship Enterprise has the registry number NCC1701, I’m guessing someone at Pagani Design is a Trekkie.
Great catch. I have that watch and I am a massive Star Trek fan, but I never caught that. Not that I paid much attention to the model number of the watch and I guess Watch storage and Star Trek storage must be in two different places in my brain.
There's no doubt these are packed full of value, but I just wish they'd come up with some more original designs, I'd rather wear an original cheap watch than a cheap homage (fake lets face it). Still, great guide for those interested.
@@jeffdean7666 Not terrible, but not great. Lume was non existent for a start (batch manufacturing error i believe) and I had some slight surface rust spots on part of the strap. I got it off but still not great! Other than that the watch works fine.
What amazes me is that the screws on a Pagani "Oak" are aligned to follow the curvature of the watch bezel...but the screws on a Hublot bezel are completely random in their alignment. Unbelievable.
I avoided the 11/11 sale temptations (barely!) in lieu of a Swiss hopeful, but did get the Pagani NTTD on mesh during previous sale a few months ago. I love the bracelet, it's so light and comfy, and now I'm good at working the clasp, which wasn't so easy at first. The watch with its unusual and expensive looks has risen to #1 in current rotation. The one weak point on mine is the bezel, which felt cheaper than expected. Perhaps that's been improved on the production line.
Morning Jodie, I’ve bought three Paganis on your recommendations and couldn’t be happier. The first one bought last year had a misaligned cyclops and god bless them they exchanged it. It took a while, but it happened and was relatively painless. So that was the gmt batman and in a fit of enthusiasm I went ahead and purchased the straight submariner homage (note the use of lowercase so as not to upset the copywriters…). They’ve both been pressed into service in the marine industry and have proved very rugged whilst anchoring and generally knocking about doing on water manual mooring tasks. And….. they are both waterproof, jumping off the bulwarks and going to check the anchor (trust me not at 200 metres - more like 5) has given them a thorough workout. Finally I pulled the trigger on the no time to die seamaster, complete with mesh bracelet. Now that is a cracking watch. No helium escape valve, but why would I need that down the pub? To be honest it’s more fun showing it off to mates and spending time quietly musing over peoples monetary direction - as we looked over our boats with chuckle and a smile. So you don’t need to be able to dive to buy a divers watch and as you’ve shown there is great value money out there. Buy a great homage and save the money for the boating world. Has anyone told you what BOAT stands for? “Break Out Another Thousand….” I’d rather spend it on the boat 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Will have to consider a Pagani watch based upon your reviews even though I'd like to actually have an Omega or Rolex, but they are beyond my financial means at the moment.
Jody is always trying to save the people some money where he can! Great top 10 List! I definitely am interesting in more then a few of these in the future.
Nice one, Jodi! I'm also so pleased I saw this video before I bought that Speedmaster alike that's been in my AliExpress shopping basket for a week - phew
When are you going to do a review of the beautiful looking Tiffany blue pagani design pd1690? There is a version 2 now. Looking forward on your thoughts about the watch!
PD-1682 (Explorer II GMT in white) here that I've had as a daily banger for a little over a year. I must say that the watch has kept amazing time, and I've had nothing to complain about except for the typical Pagani lune. I'm not a fan of the cyclops, but that would be an easy removal. Thanks for all the reviews!
@@therooster_ no problems with either watch, but the explorer homage is overall better quality. The explorer homage was about ~$120 versus ~$60 for the Daytona homage. The bracelet is better on the explorer than the Daytona, and I prefer mechanicals (no batteries) anyway.
I bought the Bond watch a year ago for about $150.00 AU dollars and never regretted it. Great accuracy. I would have liked the mesh strap (never than awful link bracelet) and could have bought one separately to fit it, but I wear it with a couple of NATOs. Ditched the rubber strap as soon as I got it. Suggest likewise.
I had the No Time To Pagani on the rubber strap and ended up moving it on, still with stickers attached. I didn't care for how it sat on wrist (mesh would probably have improved that), but also the quality of the bezel action was pretty much crap. Lots of backplay and bounce which made for a very cheap feel.😕 Wasn't expecting tons from a low-end AliExpress watch but I couldn't let that slide. Nowadays I've moved on all my Chinese homage watches and avoid buying more in favor of putting that money towards quality Japanese and Swiss watches.👌
I think you need to give the PD 1701 Speedy homage a chance. It’s not a copy, it’s an homage. The polished hands and indices don’t look bad. Mk ii has a nearly invisible color matched date wheel. Seems like the color of the date numerals was color matched as well. Sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert. Amazing case and bracelet. 100m WR. Got mine for $82 US on sale. Well worth the money.
I happen to be wearing the NTTD right now - I bought it on the mesh, very nice. Even better on my Colareb dark brown double-stitch leather. Quality watch at a bargain price. The 1692 looked very nice - a Tudor Black Bay 38 but actually a better dial I think!
Well I own 5 Pagani now so what’s a few more Jody?🤪 I’ve had absolutely no issues with the ones I own & for the money, very hard to beat! See what I did there?🤣
Hey Jody, just figured I'd give you the heads up. Wing over at Aragon watch just released his Divemaster 42 today with the Ronda R150, as well as a pretty killer set of specs. He's selling the first 100 of them for $200 to $220 a piece. I figured it might be something you would possibly be interested in. Hope this helps
Awesome list Jody! I think it’s worthwhile for any collector to at least dip a toe into the world of Pagani Design even if only as a reference point. Love that Red Dead Redemption t shirt too 🤠
I got the No Time model on mesh. I like mesh as I have small wrist size. Expecting the new PD1712 Aqua Terra chronograph homage with VK63 movement in the mail tomorrow. At $59.99 it seemed like a good deal. Good review.
Another great one Jody, enjoyed that with my breakfast today! Pagani are really dominating the market in that price bracket at the moment. Enjoy James Bond, it’s pretty good 😀
"borrowed designs" "Some people are uncomfortable." All cars have 4 wheels, that must make those same people very uncomfortable because my car has the same amount of wheels that a Ferrari has. Its a real treat finding bargain pieces.
I‘ve got the PD GMT Rootbeer an love the finishing amazing watch for the price but keep in mind if u buy one of those u will have an bayblade on your wrist. The selfwind-thing is spinning like crazy an you can hear it😅 but still i love mine and treat it like a real beaterwatch😄
I have had the Batman GMT with the pearl movement for almost 2 years now and it’s still going strong and keeps remarkably good time. (Sorry, I don’t have a timegrapher to back that up with evidence). I have just seen the seiko tuna homage. Thought it was new but have found videos almost a year old! As you say though may as well save up and buy a real one.
I assume all the cases using Miyotas or Epson are newer in terms of design/production since they would typically come with an NH-35, might result in better build quality/finish
Literally just bought the tiffany blue OP homage and the speedmaster homage... speedmaster doesn’t look that bad but if they release another with better hands i will just have to buy 2!
My philosophy is to always get the watch on the band. Straps are way cheaper and easier to get than a bracelet. Who knows you may want it down the road also it might fit another watch and look killer on it. Like my orient defender has a orient mako strap. It fits and looks way better than the original.
Been following the channel for a couple of years now and always loved your angle of daring to explore microbrands and their proposals - even when it was "frown upon" by watch snobs - along with well stablished brands. Not a bad intended critique, but I just dislike all this "homage" - fancy word for ctrl c + ctrl v straight rip off copycats "brands" - like Pagani, San Martin, Cadisen, Guanqin, Corgeut, Benyar and so on; bloody hell, even Invicta! Really enjoyed it more when your content was more about discovering and reviewing affordable microbrands who, yes for sure, were inspired by classic/contemporary designs but in the end they did their own thing with their own approach, i.e: Phoibos and their Wave Master, Spinnaker's Hull, Vario's Trench & Empire, Comet's Chronograph, etc. Sorry, don't mean being a d*ck. It's just an honest thought, mate. I simply don't understand why somebody would waste money in this sort of trash Ali Express rip offs when there are so many super cool, unique, impressive affordable brands out there as you showed us so many times. Cheers and thank you for your effort throughout the years!
Simple affordability. I can't justify throwing 200 or more notes at a watch when I can get a decent watch for a third or a half of that. When said watch is running a Seiko movement, why not!
When you show more than one watch in the same shot, thank you for synchronizing the watches to the exact second. My OCD appreciates the effort you took to accomplish that.
Don’t some of these watches have non-hacking movements?
@@dspserpico well, he did say thank you.

Daniel Craig has grey hair in the new bond because he had "no time to dye" 😉
Enjoy!
I really didn't enjoy No Time To Die. The ending was pretty insulting.
I don’t like Pagani. But I like Jody! :)
just dropped that mecha-quartz into my cart Thanks for putting this information together Jody. Cheers!
my 1707 is still a 1 sec a month watch!! It has worn very well in 4 months
Still happy with my fluted bezel I ordered after watching your vid on it a few years ago. Glad to still see it on top of the list.
I have the Pagani 007 homage on mesh. Absolutely fantastic. Also got the GMT Master but its movement is not consistent
Honestly I love these 11-11 sale vids
Just got my Royal Oak from Pagani. Very nice watch. Unfortunately the band doesn't have a half link adjustment. Love the watch..
PD-1701 (V1): stainless STELL and double Saturns on the back. That may win the 'greatest typos of the watch world' list!
Never got here so early! This man is bad for my wallet
Happy to see Chinese watches getting recognised
I knew it, after the San Martin video, i knew that Pagani D. will come! Cheers!
There's no doubt these are packed full of value, but I just wish they'd come up with some more original designs, I'd rather wear an original cheap watch than a cheap homage (fake lets face it). Still, great guide for those interested.
Hell id be happy with a name change.. or at the very least take the pagani off the dial and stick with the logo.
@@UnburdenedByWhatHasBeen Absolutely, just removing the text would go along way.
I bought a 1690 and love it. Interestingly mine came with an NH36 movement.
Yes! The silver PagaOak. I need to get it. Thanks Jody :)
I wanted to get the Seamaster style watch, but they are about $140. I may try another model first. The "Panda" chronograph is less than $100.
Took the plunge on the 1690. First Pagani, we'll see how it goes!
Unbelievable.
perfect timing - wanted to buy a bunch of these anyway and even better to get a recommended list, and all the ones I want are in there too!
I have waited all my life for this video
You got me with the "Beater-Chrono"..... looks great. Just ordered. Thanks Jody!
I got so close: Over the last two days I watched a dozen videos and didn’t buy a single watch. After this video I bought two. 😐
Jody is always trying to save the people some money where he can! Great top 10 List! I definitely am interesting in more then a few of these in the future.
Could you do a review on the "torblillon" pagani's? The PD 1656 to be exact. Thanks man. Loving the videos
That all steel Tudor looking jobby is a noice looking little piece!
Debating between a Daytona and explorer ii. Any problems yet?
@@therooster_ no problems with either watch, but the explorer homage is overall better quality. The explorer homage was about ~$120 versus ~$60 for the Daytona homage. The bracelet is better on the explorer than the Daytona, and I prefer mechanicals (no batteries) anyway.
@@sckimbro2209 yeah I prefer automatic too, just worried about the cheap movement. I’ll take my chances.
I have the same watch and I ditched the strap too. I have it on a sailcloth watch and it’s perfectly comfortable for an 8+ hour day.
V4 now even better with the moonswatch colors! Now basically the better version of the moonswatch
I got the PD1689 version instead of the PD1654, screw down crown and sapphire, very nice indeed.
Talking about originality, when did last Rolex release a new original watch?
They copy their own back catalog ad infinitum! 😂
I happen to be wearing the NTTD right now - I bought it on the mesh, very nice. Even better on my Colareb dark brown double-stitch leather.
Quality watch at a bargain price.
The 1692 looked very nice - a Tudor Black Bay 38 but actually a better dial I think!
I know it isn’t your taste but I’m giving the Daytona meteorite a try. Love the videos as always 👍
Much love brother…your content always brightens my day! Love watches!
You were born for this Mate ! Thanks for the info ! Cheers !
I love how you pronunce white with H
Just ordered the leaf dial! Thanks Jodi!
That Meca-quartz has to be the winner!
I can't believe I saw a James Bond movie before Jody! Have fun and let us know which dive watch you wear to the show!
Another great one Jody, enjoyed that with my breakfast today! Pagani are really dominating the market in that price bracket at the moment. Enjoy James Bond, it’s pretty good 😀
My yachtmaster was terrible, bezel was very misaligned and wobbly. I pulled the movement out and put it in a milgauss homage case!
Absolutely love your lists!
"borrowed designs" "Some people are uncomfortable."
All cars have 4 wheels, that must make those same people very uncomfortable because my car has the same amount of wheels that a Ferrari has.
I assume all the cases using Miyotas or Epson are newer in terms of design/production since they would typically come with an NH-35, might result in better build quality/finish
get the snoopy. looks so pretty!
I don't mind them borrowing Swiss design, as long as they don't borrow Swiss prices.
I would add wave dial Seamaster to the avoid list. Skeletonized, thin silver frame hands with very small lumed tips are almost invisible.
The logo on the crystal is a deal breaker as well.
