There is only one thing that makes this different from the Japanese and the US P-51C in realistic battles. The fuel load! This thing can take 21 minutes of fuel and the others have 31 minutes as the minimum load. This means that you are 70 kg lighter until you run out of fuel. For SIM you also have better cockpit visibility.
So it’s much much better??!

@@kamalal-hamid4634 Not really. It weighs more than three tons so 70 kg doesn't make a whole lot of difference.
The I-185 was my main grinder for the Russian props and I really do enjoy it. In an experienced pair of hands you can make it work very well, I've had a surprisingly high amount of 5+ kill AirRB games in it. Its climb is really decent for the BR, and while its turn isn't amazing it holds energy really well so you can win a lot of fights you wouldn't expect to, especially against overconfident ally players and the 20mm's with the excess of ammo make it really easy to secure kills especially in disadvantages positions with reversals, it also has a really really high rip speed similar to or even surpassing american props. Its worth another shot if you haven't played it in a while!
The I-185s maneuverability at 450kmh to 650kmh is insane, but I wish it didn’t bleed so much speed by pulling maneuvers at those speeds.
The climbing is great. You can basically WEP until you’re at altitude and climb at 22°. 3 cannons make a huge difference. Healthy amount of ammo. Slow turn time but use it like a skinnier P47
I-185 is a beast rn due to shvak buffs. Second best plane at 3.7

I like the i-185 very much. it has a really good acceleration, the engine, untypical for Russian fighter, doesn't loose too much power at height anf it's pretty good at boom and zoom manoeuvres. I found out that i can also dogfight with it pretty good, using its energy retention and accelaration

i185m82 is also one of my favorites
I personally like it a lot more in sim than realistic. Instructor gets in the way and it flies very nicely, and its speed and climb really make it great while also having pretty reasonable visibility and nimble enough to evade and get away from most things it faces in sim. I need to fly it in realistic again to see if I like it a bit more now.
The sea fury is almost the same plane except it doesn’t lock up at all and out-do its competition fairly well
@@wruenvadam can confirm that. if only there was a way to turn off the instructor completely in rb, without sacrificing mouse aim. when I want to override the planes controls with my key bindings, the instructor just gets in my way. I haven't played sim with this plane yet, but I can relate to your points. it is really versatile, and in comparison to the la line, especially the la-5 series, which I have also spaded, I've found out that the i-185 is superior for me
Was kinda disappointed with the plane before actually playing it, always thought it was just another P-51C-10 which I had just bought the Japanese one with war bonds. Then I realized that it has a significant lighter min fuel option, which I think will be superior to the Japanese one (Lighter fuel load > Japanese teams)

Pretty cool how this Mustang has the Malcom Hood canopy rather than the razor back of the 51C-10
The biggest thing is fuel load. This has 20 minutes vs every other one is 30 minutes minimum. The 30 min load severely limits the Mustangs performance all around.
Wow yeah that was my biggest issue with P-51s. It absolutely destroyed their competitiveness
The difference is 70 kilograms... Of course it's better but not a whole lot better.
@@anttiruo it is a world of difference when everything else has less than 20 minute fuel options and the mustang at 30 is just barely less competitive in a dogfight.
As long as you have an energy advantage, it doesnt even matter. Its nice not having to go back to base
They updated how the WEP works and now its fuel consumption is like 1.5 as opposed to the Ds, this also means that after 10mins the Ds will be on 20 and the F6C will be on 5 mins which will significantly improve its dogfighting capabilities in comparison to its peers.

i185 m82 is an amazing plane if played correctly, climbs pretty good, engine doesn't lose almost any power at high altitudes, good boom-n-zoom plane
only thing that sucks about it is 20mm shvak cannons

I am not keen on the P-51s, I can't get on with them, but I tried this plane with the test drive and I enjoyed it, so I am grinding to get it in the Battle Pass. Thank you for the video and tips.
I really adore the I-185, solid engine, excellent energy retention and imo the first time soviet fighters get a proper amount of firepower, fantastic plane to contend with Bfs and Fws
There's no "fighting" about that fact; it was definitely a Merlin and it was a good choice to go with that after the Brits demonstrated how superior it was for the aircraft compared to the Alison. There's nothing divisive or controversial about that. It's settled fact.
Packard got the license to build the Merlins fairly early, if only because (as I understand it) native British production couldn't keep up with the demand for the things. They even designated planes with Packard Merlin engines slightly differently; the Spitfire Mk.16 is a Spitfire Mk.IX with a US Merlin engine instead of a true Rolls Royce.
I'm pretty sure the P-51C had 4 guns, so the F-6C being 98% the same airframe, it should have the same 4 guns.
The I-185 was the plane I got my first Ace with in Air RB and has been a personal favorite since. I notice that guys fly it like it's a Yak but it just doesn't turn as well. I'm just ok with almost every other plane at 3.7, but for some reason, I'm actually pretty good with the 185.

Another advantage of not committing to head-ons is that you get the front seat for spit's 1v2s every now and then. Wish I could've said hi.
This thing is great for SL at the battle ranking and it seems to go against American planes quite often who don't understand how to fly them. It's repair cost is cheap and it has a high sl percent at 2.0 normal and additional like 2.4 because it's a premium. If you know how to fly the American 3.7 version this is just a better one for the French. Though if you don't really play France much you're gonna have some problems with crew points.

Hey man, I am looking into grinding out the american air tree, I have some experience in jets but not much what would you recommend? I was thinking about either the harrier or the F5C. People have mixed opinions and I can't decide. Can you help me make the decision cause you clearly have a lot of experience in in planes? (I'm also looking into doing cas with the aircraft ill buy cause I have the ground tree maxed out)
Could you maybe do a tier list of all the battle pass planes so far? I've personally gotten the F2G-1 and the french P-39, the P-39 I feel like it's a mediocre plane but it was a free premium after all, but the F2G is an absolute beast of a plane, I did quite well in it even back when it faced jets every game, and now that it's 6.0 I've gotten multiple 6 kill battles, and get at least 2 kills every battle.

I love this plane with a passion.
I didn't enjoy either I-185 when I played them a while back, but a friend of mine that's much newer to the game (~400 hours) really enjoys it -- that said, I'm not sure if he was talking about the M-82 or M-71 version.
I personally didn't think I'd have fun with either, but surprisingly did. Really good engine, likes to go really fast in straight lines, effective boom and zoom plane, three nose cannons are always good, outruns a lot of planes at their BRs.
The one caveat is that the M-71 really, really does not want to turn.

The Mustang from the Japanese is not captured, its from the very early JSDF, like the M24 and the Sherman in the Japanese tank tree
I don't want to be confrontational or draw attention to this post, but
a) looking at the specific markings of that Mustang should give you some hints to figure it out
b) googling or using the in-game wiki or looking at any source for JSDF inventory history or international Mustang operators would also give you the correct information
@@TheDarkRobloxian So i just looked it up and you are right, this P51 was Captured in 1943 and was used to train the Pilots how to fly against it. But the Sherman and M24 were used by the JGSDF. Im sorry for my mistake ^^

I-185 is fun if you can hit your shots, it just melts any plane in front of it. If you miss tho, you'll be fucked in a turn fight (unless your enemy suffers a lack of brain cells)

In the last engagement I would have died instantly from the anti-aircraft of the enemy airport.If with the p51 I adopt a tactic that requires time and patience, my whole team gets fucked badly and I am left alone or my team fucks all the opponents. What you say is correct but the realistic air battles have unfortunately become a wrestling where everyone randomly throws themselves into the fray without a minimum of method and this incorrect way of playing also affects the gameplay of those who would like to play methodically.

Rip-off Merlin? I mean Rolls Royce didn't see a problem having them installed in some British aircraft since they needed the added production, and it just so happens that America needed such an engine for their own use so it was a win-win. Saying it's a rip-off makes it seem worse than the original even though they were even slightly improved by Packard. Maybe cut down on the nationalism a little bit because the British needed help, and America helped you, and now you talk down on the American version of that engine even though it was just as good to the point where the Packard variants were used in variants of the Lancaster, Mosquito, Hurricane, and Spitfire. Maybe instead of talking down on the Packard version, you could be a little more appreciative that such cooperation happened on that level even if it was a done for mutual benefit. Both the US and Britain would have suffered a bit more had that not happened.

I think the I-185 is a great compliment to Russian teams. It’s like a J2M2.
It feels like a slightly worse C.205 Series 1, but gets 4 12.7’s instead of 2x 12.7 and 2x 7.62 to compensate.
It's about 75 km/h faster.

So basically every 3 months or so a new battle pass starts. Do the daily tasks and challenge things to level it up.
You gotta pay for the pass to get most of the rewards but this plane is totally free
