The ones who find Desmonds story the most intriguing are the ones who don't just view the first game as ok. Also. The first one was huge and the back and forth philosophies between Desmond and the scientist and Altair and his master was what made you understand how Altair became the master he is

4:15 I did. And still do to some degree. The modern day had it's ups and downs but it is what hooked me up in the first place. Yes, I know, running around in the past is the most fun part of all the games, but that mysterious and complicated sci-fi story told in small segments through out the game was the icing on the cake for me. I am slightly disapointed with some of the choices they made (Desmond's ending wasn't particularly bad for me, I think they took way more annoying decissions in later games) but overall is still an aspect of the narrative I'm looking for with every entry in the franchise. It’s not why I played these games, however it’s definitely something I enjoyed. The Modern Day was amazing back then, whereas lately (since Black Flag) it’s fallen flat. Even Origins, Odyssey and potentially Valhalla will be flat, but is going in the right direction.

I would have been okay with it myself, IF it actually had a purpose afterwards But no, Abstergo just keeps on growing and growing and it makes Ezi and the other Assassins' lives feel like they're in vain.

I remember several years back that I decided to do a 100% playthrough of AC2 on my Xbox 360, so I took my, at the time large CRT PC monitor and desktop PC, and set them both up beside me on my old coffee table and linked said PC to to my network and use it as my interactive players guide via UA-cam to find the rest of the feathers I missed and locate the insignias order to translate the Adam and Eve videos. Granted this day in age, I can use my laptop plain and simple, but there was something genuinely euphoric all those years back playing AC2 on on my 360 using this cumbersome setup with my old PC and monitor that I miss as it was so much fun to become so engaged in a game in this manner that I would gladly do it again minus getting a herniated disc in my lower back from hoisting that damn CRT monitor around!
If im okay with collecting a ton of feathers, Just to get the platinum trophy, the game is doing something great. Ezio is still one of the best video game characters ive played.
I haven't played one of these games since the first one. Half way through watching this, I took a break and watched a trailer for the new Assassins Creed game with its hyper drama music, then went back to this. Doing so really highlighted the fact that this vid has Donkey Kong music playing in the background, what a great effect lolol. I always like the vibe in Completionist vids.
I agree on the setting because I prefer the Crusades more but AC2 had a better story but I love AC1's story too because it's deeper on the Assassin and Templar moral conflict than AC2 is
I can help with the whole criptic video thing. Ok, across the entire series there have been references to the Precursors, who apparently was an advanced civilization that eventually was ended by something with the sun, I believe. The secret cuts energy was showing basically how civilization started in AC. Adam and Eve running away and no longer being slaves. This kept them safe from the whole getting murdered by the sun, but it also meant humanity had to start again from the ground up. Throughout the entire series, there have been quite a few precursors left over. There was even one that infiltrated Abstergo industries. I have only played up till AC Syndicate, so I don't know if they added anymore to the story or not. If you read this far, you either wanted to know about this or you just pressed read more and didn't realize how long this was going to be.

As a big completionist myself, I had two glitches that drove me up the wall. For some reason I didn’t get the achievement for completing sequence 6, and even though I had 100% sync at the end, a mission was listed as incomplete, even though I did it. This game really frustrated me while I played it.
Black flag is fun. It just takes a while to get everything, and it’s so easy to get absorbed in for me. I end up doing side tasks for upgrades first than continue the story only to do the same thing when I get the upgrades
5:48 What about The Ezio Trilogy? Yes. There was another Ezio collection before this. There was also one called The Americas Collection with III, Liberation, and Black Flag. No Rogue. It wasn't out yet.
9:15 so the thing that i remember most about edward conway (the guy from black flag) is he is voiced by Matt Ryan aka Constantine (i love keanu reeves but that's not Constantine, i don't know who it was but it wasn't him) they need to get him in the films, Ryan plays Constantine in everything else WB does.

I got the platinum for this and brotherhood because they are my all time favourite games and I can’t stress enough how much these games has had an impact on me
I was 14 years old when it released in 2009. I was so happy when I got it as a gift from my parents because they knew I wanted to play it so badly. I re played it a couple of months ago. It's still amazing. If you are only going to play one AC game then I always recommend playing AC2.
Yo, same. I was 14 too lol. The story and wonder at the end of each of the games made the anticipation so great. Which is why I was so fucking pissed they just trashed Desmonds story. I grew up with it, only for new players who never even played the first one bitch to where ubisoft fell into their demands. Now I don't even like anything past black flag, either.

4:15 "No one plays this game for Desmond"
I did. ._.)
Also AC1 > AC2 in terms of story and setting.
But AC2 ending was an insane ride, though.
I agree on the setting because I prefer the Crusades more but AC2 had a better story but I love AC1's story too because it's deeper on the Assassin and Templar moral conflict than AC2 is
Assassin's Creed II was better in many ways so AC 2> AC1
@The Completionist, if you want a good idea of what the future sci-fy stuff is based on and playing around, Look up the Anunaki.
Once again, who wouldn't want to be subscribed to this man? HES a LEGEND
@THE BADAPPLE 66 he actually is
Bot
@@mahirasifchowdhury7600 no, it's a bot that verification isn't real.
Mahir Asif Chowdhury No he isn’t. His account was made in July 2020.
yea its fake :/
"no one played these games for desmond"
:look you can see the moment when his heart breaks.
Does anyone else hate how ac controls sometimes, like it just jumps off when you don't want to
Hell y
Assassin's Creed 2 was my very first platinum trophy
This was my first completion on the 360 and got me into achievement hunting. I just got all 3000 gamerscore in AC Ezio Collection. Such a solid title
One of the best Action-Adventure Stealth video games I have ever played.
Well what's the best?
Well what's the best?
@WickedKnightAlbel
• Assassin’s Creed 2
• Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
• Assassin’s Creed Revelations
• Hitman Absolution (never played other Hitman games, sorry)
• Dishonored 1
• Dishonored 2
• Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
• Batman Arkham City
• Batman Arkham Origins
Awesome! I loved this game, and ghosts of tsushima gave me the same feeling this game did back then.
I would love to see you start work on the YS series, maybe YS VII
Im still so confused. I played both ac 1 2 and brotherhood on pc and it worked perfectly well. I do not remember facing a single bug except for a climbing animation that bugged out ONCE durring my whole 20 hour playthrough of brotherhood
"I've played almost 3 times, is that too much" *thinks about how I've played it around 7 times* "haha yeeeaahhh*
Personally i like the brotherhood recruiting and upgrading your assassins part im glad the new one has a similar system
Not exactly AC related but Ezio for Smash.
That would be amazing
That would be cool to see, tho I dont have a switch
@@cortomaltese5206
Honestly, it's highly unlikely it'll happen. Assassin's Creed already has some representation in Smash with Altaïr's costume. But, one can still hope.
@@Sly_Maverick_31 yeah but at least the is still a possibility
YES
If it does happen I hope we'll have an option of skins of his AC2, ACB, and ACR uniforms
I'll never forget going over to my cousins house and watching in complete amazement at him jumping off of these huge rooftops into barrels of pink flowers. Totally blew my 6 year old mind
Finally. I was hoping you'd complete this.
The Completionist, I have some suggested games you should complete in future videos.
Suggestions:
Astral Chain
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Super Mario World
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Sleeping Dogs
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Kameo: Elements of Power
Perfect Dark
Jet Force Gemini
Freedom Planet
Shadow the Hedgehog
Sonic Lost World
Sonic the Hedgehog CD
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
Jak 3
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
New Game Plus:
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Easily one of my favourites! I didn't like the full synchronization they went with after! This one I felt free to take out the target how I wanted.
Thank you so much for your content J rad
As a big completionist myself, I had two glitches that drove me up the wall. For some reason I didn’t get the achievement for completing sequence 6, and even though I had 100% sync at the end, a mission was listed as incomplete, even though I did it. This game really frustrated me while I played it.
Finally the Vaporio episode is out, great. (AC Brotherhood still my personal favorite)
Best title opening in the whole ac series
I always think of altair when I think of assassins creed. My first game was bloodlines and since then altair has been my favourite
Imagine if Creed did the soundtrack for Assassins Creed.
Black flag is fun. It just takes a while to get everything, and it’s so easy to get absorbed in for me. I end up doing side tasks for upgrades first than continue the story only to do the same thing when I get the upgrades
been playing this game recently loving it
5:48 What about The Ezio Trilogy?
Yes. There was another Ezio collection before this.
There was also one called The Americas Collection with III, Liberation, and Black Flag. No Rogue. It wasn't out yet.
My first platinum trophy ever .....this game was so much fun I played it about 3 times over
AC 2 is probably my favorite game of all time.
I almost completed this game on Xbox when I was 11, and I’m now getting it on my ps3, because I’m looking for game’s to trophy hunt on and catch up on games I missed for not being around the PlayStation franchise.
I’m so ready to go back to nostalgia and enjoy something I beloved so much.
For anyone wondering the binary code at the end of the Adam and Eve cutscene translates to "EDEN"
15:20 you've seen unity's double assassination animations right?
Nobody played those games for Desmond.
I guess I'm a nobody (that's a kingdom hearts reference), but I was seriously invested in the modern day story line. That I looked up what went down afterwards, and with out spoilers shit got crazy with Juno being released in modern day.
Replaying and streaming these games again. The Ezio collection.
BTW if anyone wants to know what that little cut scene says at 13:53 , its binary for the word 'EDEN'. Anyone know what that means
I was thinking of going back to play these, so I’m glad I can just start at part 2
I forgot jirad had already made this episode. Ok Jirad I am fine with this
i sure do miss that other guy.... this was my favorite episode they dis together. they did a fucking hilarious skit where he sings this creed song but assassins creed style and it was priceless. hope he is doing well
"Requista de pache " I was fed up of that line.
I was around 11 when I played this masterpiece, I finished the main story but I got stuck after that and didnt know what to do. Im going to setup my 360 today and hopefully my save is still there!
Wow, didn't notice you did this review for NG+.
Ah, man, the memories. This was the first game I completed.
I hope Jirard is going to tackle more Assassin's Creed in 2021. I'd like to see him take on and complete AC Rogue, ACIV, Liberation, Origins or Syndicate.
We see Ezio born in the beginning of II and see him die in Embers.
I literally shed tears when Ezio died in Assassins Creed Embers....and that is saying something.
When I think of assassins creed, I just think of a dead horse. Hm weird.
sucks for you, sorry to hear that.
Your videos are fantastic!
wow you're a legend completing this a third time, boss! I agree with basically every point lol this did really set the stage for the series for years to come and might have been the pinnacle of that era of assassin's creed but we didn't know it at the time. I remember when I heard there was gonna be a new assassin's creed game every year I hoped it wouldn't get stale too fast and we did get come gems like blackflag at least
I owned a Wii instead of a Ps3 or 360 back in the day, so I missed a LOT of games of that generation, so thank you men, I'm gonna put Assassin's Creed II to the list.
I got the platinum for this and brotherhood because they are my all time favourite games and I can’t stress enough how much these games has had an impact on me
Glosses over treasures
I was 14 years old when it released in 2009. I was so happy when I got it as a gift from my parents because they knew I wanted to play it so badly. I re played it a couple of months ago. It's still amazing. If you are only going to play one AC game then I always recommend playing AC2.
Sounds amazing.
Yo, same. I was 14 too lol. The story and wonder at the end of each of the games made the anticipation so great. Which is why I was so fucking pissed they just trashed Desmonds story. I grew up with it, only for new players who never even played the first one bitch to where ubisoft fell into their demands. Now I don't even like anything past black flag, either.
very nice to see this again especially since this game is such a classic and if you ask me the true start of the series now if only we could get a remaster of the first game that plays more like this one we would be in business
The way you ended your intro was awkward as fuck. I love it. I'm subscribing.
