  • Do you keep postponing your quit date over and over again? Watch this video to learn how to start your next quit attempt with confidence, one step at a time.
One of the reasons you postpone quitting smoking is that you don’t know where to start.
Despite what you may have heard, you don’t start a quit attempt by quitting smoking! There should be some preparation before your quit date.
In this video, you will learn 3 steps to start with the first quit smoking stage of the CBQ method “Choose to Quit.” This is the first step towards becoming a non-smoker.
You will learn whether or not you should set a quit date and why.
Then, I show you what you should do before you smoke your last cigarette so you can be better prepared for any challenges you may face along the way. I call this your “QUIT LIST.”
Your “QUIT LIST” will reduce some of the fear of failure that comes with quitting smoking.
Next, we’ll do an exercise together that will increase your motivation to become a non-smoker. You can use this exercise for inspiration even after you quit.

One thing I have started doing in preparation for quitting is walking daily. This way I don’t have to worry so much about gaining weight after quitting. I know I don’t comment often, but I do love your videos. I am quitting on Wednesday. Thanks for all your great videos!

    I really struggle here Nasia.
I am disabled to begin with my neighbors want my house BAD every time I leave they or the police are coming in my home. Monitoring my grandchildren as well as me 24/7 I'm trying to find a lawyer. This is true.
It's a land grab. I have proof it's happened here before. Oh boy they hate me now. Sharing my personal health information among neighbors to try and find me not disabled. laughing at me when I come home from going to the store following me. Because I pray in my home in private, they mock me. I'm so fed up with this. When my mom died the neighbors assumed I would buy my mom's. Honestly I stayed here in this house for spite. Knowing they want it and are trying to take it made me more determined to stay
I'm trying to get my story out there and I don't want to sue anyone but, I don't think I have a choice here
How the world can I quit smoking my personal space is intruded everyday. My grandkids are robbed of a normal atmosphere.
I thought I might try to laugh every time I want a cigarette. Maybe it will give me dopamine

Such a wonderful video, Nasia. I am having trouble thinking of things to do when I normally smoke, e.g. after a meal, driving the car, with my coffee, when I am planning things etc. Does anybody have any ideas for these distractions? Although I plan to take up some new hobbies, it's those little moments that I think I will find difficult. Thank you so much Nasia and everyone here. Best wishes. Andy. London. UK.

Enjoy your videos. They are helpful. I do well for a couple weeks and then I break out in a mouth full of very painful very painful canker sores and then I am hindered for a while.

Hi Judy, thank you for commenting. Although rare, canker sores/mouth ulcers can happen to some people because the blood flow in the mouth improves after quitting. They do go away! Please read this as it may help you prepare better for next time, you can do this! smokingcessationformula.com/nicotine-withdrawal-symptoms/

I am wondering... When I wrote down “How would it be if you didn’t have to interrupt your life to go smoke?” The first thing that came to my mind was “boring”. What do I make of this? 😟
Then came “more time” and then “more contentment”. But that “boring” is bothering me... Why do I think this way?
