  • I've been getting lots of questions about yoga for hamstrings so this video is all about hamstring flexibility and creating a full body experience. Find ease as we increase flexibility and stability in the backs of the legs and stretch the full body.
This sequence is also great for stretching and supporting the back and relieving tension in the neck. Build awareness of the sit bone to heel connection and how to integrate breath to find what feels good and enjoy your practice!

Wow, with hamstrings being the slowest area on my body to respond to daily practice, how is it I have never done this sequence before? Simply lovely. The hamstrings feel less tight, and I even found a use for the long, red pizza box ribbons they use here. Not just for saving and bundling items up! Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Found some emotional release as well. Makes sense as I have hurt these hamstrings in the past rushing about stressed.
I definitely have to work this one in at least once a week. I can sense the hamstrings will benefit greatly.

I found that Yoga for Cyclists - day 24 of Expand (June 2021) - had a similar benefit for me, just excellent stretches for the lower body including the hamstrings! Couldn't believe I hadn't tried that one before. These calendars are great for exploring more of the YWA catalogue than I normally might!

I love how easy you make and how you throw in what new people might experience and ways to make it work for you. In the past I've been reluctant to do videos or join lessons because everyone else is better and I sometimes feel like there's a prerequisite level of flexibility needed.

I don't usually comment on these things. I wanted to share that your videos have provided me a way back to yoga after breast cancer, and during. You had classes that didn't require me to put weight on my upper body. And now that I am able to move slowly back into practice, I am finding your energy and peace astonishing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Yoga With Adriene Indeed! And it helps to have a cute girl to look at for motivation. :)
Do you have any tips on sessions that could be good for increased focus?
I have exams coming up and it would be nice to refresh my mind once in a while.
      All the best!

Adriene, I love it when you’re goofy. It makes me laugh out loud which releases a lot of stress. I left several times in this sequence. Thanks! I love doing yoga with you.
