We were made aware of the audio issues between minutes 5-7 after the fact and apologize for that! The microphone seemed to be giving us trouble 😀. We will work to make sure it doesn't happen again and thanks for being here!
This was wonderful thank you
Voiceover is an option. It is pretty bad throughout with the crackling, especially with headphones. Otherwise, great thank you!
Hi Jessica. Did you manage to fix the audio issue? Can you point me to a new video recording?
It’s fine
Day three. I’ve suffered with tight hams for years, long drives and frequently flying exacerbate the problem. Three days in a row and I’m feeling better!
Cool 👌🏻
How did it go afterwards?
I love all of your videos that I've done so far. I enjoy the talking because I'm thinking less about what I'm going to do when I'm done, and more about the present moment. I wish there was an alt version of this video because I do it a lot after a workout, I just have sensory issues with audio. All of your content is great and I really cannot complain. I especially love that you explain WHY we're doing each exercise and the benefits of each. I just feel that I can trust that you're not just here to "influence" like so many other videos I come across. I've shared your videos with my mom and coworkers because they're so great. Thanks Jessica!
Fantastic!!! I’m so excited to have found your channel! Tight hamstrings today seemed to have been the path to this gift… Thrilled that you are a PT!
Going to try this everyday. I don't know whether you were aware that the sound fell out. Enjoyed the stretching. Thank you.
@@JessicaValantPilates I had trouble with the sound as well. I think the connection of your mic was loose
@@JessicaValantPilates thank you for replying and as Marie said, it seemed to be your microphone as you moved. But nevermind I am sure you will solve it. I enjoy your explicit instructions. You are very thorough and I appreciate that.
@@JessicaValantPilates There is definitely an audio issue between 5-7 minutes in. Just FYI. Maybe take a listen and hear for yourself.
Thank you! We did catch that after the fact and are working to make sure it doesn't happen again :).
Thank you Jessica. I love this one and always return to it when I’m needing hip relief 😌
I'll echo one of the previous comments... Every time I think you've addressed every body part and body issue, you come up with something new and helpful. Thanks Jessica!
You are AMAZING! Thank you for posting these. I have had issues for 7 months and doing your various exercises has helped me immensely. I truly appreciate how you teach and explain everything as well. I believe you are the best PT I've found!
I am loving all of your videos! I'm new to pilates and have Rheumatoid arthritis so I'm extremely tight in multiple areas, not to mention I sound like a rice crispie treat with all the pops and crackles. But after doing these videos for just going on two weeks I can feel the difference and love it, thank you Jessica!! I also love that you have variations and remind us this is an individual journey ❤
Thank you Jessica, I came across this video sometimes back and it worked magic for me. I recommended it to a friend and I hope she finds relief. I am grateful for all your Pilates videos, you changed my life. I am now flexible, strong and easy. Sending best wishes and blessings
Thanks for this, I’ve tightened up so much during this past year, and have been looking for some help.
This is my FAVE and MOST NEEDED streches on a daily basis! Really enjoyed it, which made it possible for my palms to safely land on the ground with my legs standing up straight. Thanks so much as always, Jessica.
I just found your channel. I am transitioning out of physical therapy for lower back pain and your channel has been extremely helpful! Thank you! 🙏
Thank you. I have been doing this daily for over a week. It is incredibly and immediately helpful and do-able. The sequence has effectively trained me the find a release for one side that has been painful and chronically painful and bothersome. Daily repetition has become a must-do.
You just changed my life with this routine. I have been living with hamstring pain and tightness for over year now. This is the first routine that has actually made a noticeable difference! I will be following the 30 days protocol and tracking my flexibility progress. I have had to stop weight training with certain movements because of my hamstring issues, so thank you! :)
This felt fantastic (and much-needed)
Thank you so much for this! I’ve had tight hamstrings/hips which occasionally throws my back out, meaning I can’t exercise. These stretches, plus a bit of foam rolling, have really helped and I’ve been able to get back to the gym!! :)
Love your workout routine that you demonstrated verywell to my hamstrings, thank you!🤗
I definitely need to do this everyday! Thanks
Every single one of your videos is extremely helpful and you explain so precisely.
Just when I thought you couldn’t possibly come up with something new, you always do!!
Awesome!! Thank u 👍😀
Thank you!
This is so helpful and I do do it many times a week. The careful instruction ensures I'm doing it correctly. I do feel safe and it's working! Tx
Thanks Jessica for this amazing routine! my right hamstrings sends you eternal gratitude!
i been walking about 6 miles a day for the entire pandemic and after. I have not been stretching very much. I started having lower back problems, found your videos and wow - I did not realize how tight i was everywhere! My lower back feels so much better after just two weeks of hip flexor and hamstring exercises. Thank you!
Eventhough this audio has a few issues, this exercice has put me back on a path to healing and gained back some flexibility. I still cannot believe it. I do the other five in this category also and others as well almost every day now. For the last 7 months, I had such pain just trying to tie my shoes or bending over. Not sure where my probllem was, either sciatica, periformis, hips, hamstrings, pelvis, buttocks, abs. Any exercices I would do would put so much pressure and pain on my buttocks and hamstrings, even trying to do ab work was excruciating on my hamstrings. As of the first time doing this exercise, it instantily relieved some pressure and gave me more flexibility to do other workouts. I cannot THANK YOU enough. So happy to have found you.
Thank you so much🙏🏽 It’s just what I needed!❤
Thank you so much for this! Day 1 for me, and I already saw great improvement from beginning to end, even though I don't yet have the flexibility to get into all of the poses completely. At the end, my fingertips went past my knees, which is huge with straight legs for me! Thank you so much!!!
This is incredible work. I've been dancing for nine years of my life, and this is my first hamstring TEAR. My physican reccomended a light stretch. I have a show this weekend and i didn't think i would be able to dance. Thanks to you, now i can reach the for the stars again. Truly, thank you for this.
I hope you recovered and had a wonderful show! How did you get started in dance? I was thinking of starting but wondered if my age 23ya was “too late”
@@quilabill Thank you!! I honestly have always loved to move my body, and my parents enrolled me into dance at a young age. 23 is a good age but if you wanna start, start now!! You can find adult ballet classes easily and they are a nice exercise too:) Thank you for my well wishes!!
Wow! That really helped me on just the first try. I’ve been struggling with a lot of issues and I’m gonna start trying this daily. Thank you! Subscribed!
First time doing pilates. This was a brilliant video! I could see the difference in the final stretch 😮😮😮 and it felt so good to stretch! Thank you
This was magical! Thank you so much.
Amazing! I’ve noted such a different on just my first day!
Hi Jessica ! I absolutely enjoyed this stretch just now. I’m very slim, but I’m not flexible. I’m excited to try this out as much as I can for the month before workout. New subbie! Love your work out outfit too !
Thanks Jessica and Happy Easter❤🎉
This is one of the best hamstring deep stretches I’ve ever done. Really has relieved my lower back pain.
Thank you so much! It really helps loosen up my tight hamstrings. Life saver 💗
amazing video, this helps me so much!! thank you ♥
This was such an easy and relaxing stretch, so glad I found this video.. I am a dancer and haven’t stretched all summer now classes are starting back up I really needed this for my hammys 😁
This is SO good! Thank you so much Jessica! :)
This really helped my tight hamstrings thank you so much Jessica

Loved this. I'm so tight and will be using this more. Thank you!
Can I like this twice 🥰 this is exactly what I need! Thank you
love this!
I was about an inch from the top of my feet on the first forward fold. My fingers were comfortably on the floor on the second one! My legs feel so much better now! Thank you 😊
It worked! Managed to stretch a hand length more
i’m only on day one and this exercise has helped me so much i really recommend
I've been using this stretch for a couple of months. Yesterday, l completed a 100-mile run. I'm sure it's down to this routine.
Thanks very much.
Thank you so much, Jessica. Pain completely vanished.
I am blown away - I easily got 15 cm lower by the end. I didn't know my legs could do that! Thank you so much!
It worked!
Simple, but not easy. I like little bits of challenge in life. Your videos provide that needed push to try new movements and poses.
Great stretch!
You are the best!!!! Thank you ❤
Just tried this once and now I can touch my toes after 20 years..wow..thank you!!
this was really helpful! also the first time I heard that our body is afraid of stretching. this actually helped me sm because every time im trying to street I feel so much panic rising up in me lol.
Tried this once and now I can touch my toes after 20 years..wow..thank you!!
Thank you so much ❤
Have just come across this video. I have really tight hamstrings which then affect my hip and back. Will do this video for the next 2 weeks and hopefully see some benefit.
Thanks Jessica! Keen to add this to my stretch routine
I hope it helps!
Thanks, this is great and such good information, it’s an important stretch.
Thank you!
You are AMAZING. I am on day 5 of quitting nicotine and cannabis and I'm on such a positivity train. My hamstrings have always been tight and this video worked 10000%. Not only that, I was able to follow and not want to skip (something I find difficult to do having combined type ADHD). Subscribed
that was a nice video, the sound quality was a bit distracting but i will keep this routine in mind and try to do it on a regular basis :)
i have the absolute worst hamstrings for my age and i was almost able to reach my ankles after trying this !!! legs are feeling less painful too, thank you so much :)
Just to let you know that there was some problem with the microphone (Leslie already pointed out). You have a easy way type of explaining and showing the movements. Nice work.
Thnak you and yes - we were made aware of the audio snafu after the fact - thanks!
Nice video. I’ll give it a try👍
Thank you
Great video love your channel
Omg this is so amazing I went to gym n my muscles were so tight that I couldn’t do yoga but u guys after this Pilates stretch everything is possible I’m gonna do it once again for the pain relief thank you so much Jessica for helping me ❤love you 🌈🌸✨
Oh my god 😮my hands were at my knees and my hamstrings were so sore and tight - still are 😅but at the end of the class when we did the forward fold test I could touch the ground I didn’t realise how well this worked ❤will be sharing with all my friends 😮thanks again
Amazing
i was dancing earlier today and did a stunt and now my left hamstring is so sore . this helped relieve some of the pain thank you
This routine has made it possible for me to run without pain, thank you so much Jessica!
This actually works I thought it wouldn't but it does I'm so proud of myself for doing THIS and actually being able to almost touch my toes there's only a tiny bit gap yay tysm I'll do this again I can touch my toes but only sometimes
Now I can eventually touch my feets but it hurts but yay
This is amazing. This is the second day that I’m trying this and when I try to test how lose my muscle are I was able to stretch at least three if not 4 inches Longer.😊
besides the audio issues this is a great video
That cracking in my leg feels good I love this class
hey! imma try this for as long as i can! it worked so well and my hamstrings were in pain after going for a run. day 1 ;
could stand and bend down well but when sitting in pike it hurt 😢
I am a runner and coming back from a hamstring injury. Great video! Do you have any videos for post run?
I did reach much further after the stretch! Thanks will try to do this daily .🌺🌸🌼👍
That's awesome!
Me too!
Super stretch badly needed!! .. but yes btw around 6 mins in sound falls out . Bit crackly all through but still able to follow 😊
These were fantastic, thanks you so much! Do you have anything for increasing knee flexion?
I have many knee pain and physical therapy for knee videos!
Thanks
Wow, I seem to have grown.. thanks for all your wonderful videos.
this was *glorious*! i hurt my hamstring years ago playing football and its constantly tightening up on me. These stretches felt amazing! Thanks for posting!!
Glad to hear you liked them!
Thanks I will add it to my morning routine
Great!!
I am a road cyclist with around 400km mileage a week, and I am tight as hell. I just did this exercise, and after 10 min I couldn't believe the difference! Supper recommended and big kudos to Jessica.
Do you have any knee-safe suggestions for hamstring stretches? I’m trying to recover from a knee injury and have noticed my hamstrings are very tight. Thanks so much for your videos!
Wow , was amazed at the end that I could touch the ground, day two of doing this exercise , going to keep this up as my hamstrings have definitely tightened as I've gotten older , hoping to be able to do a split🤞
Great job!
This is a really good exercise. I’m gonna try to stick to this everyday. I can touch my toes already but that’s my extent. It hurts to touch my toes but I want to be to the level to where I can do it without pain
Thank you so much! I think this is exactly what I needed to add to my repertoire. I have a bulging L5-S1 (naturally sacralized, btw) and that means L4-L5 is also affected. As such, it's been a long, long, LONG road but the dull pain on or near my SI joint doesnt appear to be the SI Joint but I think my psoas-illac is super tight and it's super tight because I already have tight hip flexors and anterior pelvic tilt. My glutes are not firing well and that is causing my all kinds of issues with tight hamstrings (Anterior pelvic tilt) and tight low back/QL muscles. Abduction is a trigger for me. In order to correct this, I need to fix the anterior pelvic tilt. I cant lay on my right side in bed. It causes a lot of pain. And I think that is because my glute medius and minus are weak, and that in itself is making my tight hip flexors including TFL and psoas, even tighter.
I will incorporate this routine every morning and before bed, every day, and hope that it will aid in lengthening my hamstrings and loosening up my hip flexors. Thanks again.
It is awesome exercise and I must say Jessica, you are marvellous . Thi sis my second day. I was able to only reach around 8 inches above the ground. In 2 days I am able to reduce this to around 4 inches and with stress able to almost get to the ground. I will do this for 30 days and post results !!
I think this did help my hamstring flexibility! I do have a question though, my legs hyper extend, so when going to touch my toes should I have a bend in my knees or go as straight as I can (which is a little bit backwards)?
This is like magic Omg hahaha
Hello...Jessica....following ur videos....for this one want to know if this is safe for knee pain problem
Thanks- as I get older I start thinking my hamstrings and hips are permanently tight 🙄. I’ll definitely add this to my routine.
They can always get better - I hope it helps!
hey i really liked the video, ill take the advise to make this for 30 days, so this is day one. Thanks!
day 2 ✔
day 4 ✔
I’m gonna update from now on how it goes and I’m gonna do it for 30 days!!(P.S this is day three I’m making this)
Day 1:honestly kind of easy and I felt so good afterwards
Day 2:easier this time and could even fold my fingers under my toes
Day 3:for some odd reason it got harder..but still made it through!
How is it going?
Can I do this roll out at beginning of video, if I have harnia and bulging and spondyliosis?
hey!Hello... Ur videos r very helpful. I think i have uterine prolapse may be of degree 2... can i do outdoor cycling for cardio or brisk walking?... as i ma on my journey of loosing weight and dnt want my prolapse to preventing me doing my weight management workouts. i have already stopped running.
I recommend watching all of my prolapse informational videos!
I've always had tight hamstrings and can't touch my toes but this helped a lot! There's a little bit of static on the audio in the middle but otherwise very helpful video!
I'm glad it helped!
