I was very hesitant based on previous UA-cam reviews. I’m glad I kept my preorder, once I received my A30 and installed Spruce, this device has become my on the go every day carry.
how is spruce? Will drastic load?
@@DaveyG I believe it is a clean and functioning version of the stock OS. It is very user friendly and the settings are similar to the Stock OS experience but just polished. It will run Drastic, I just tested it yesterday with Pokemon White.
I just want something for my Pokémon games. I’m not tech savvy though, idk what or how to put spruce on it 🤦🏽♂️
The USB port is not clicky or squishy? L product

That looks like a fun little device. A bit small for me, but I may consider it as a Christmas gift for my son.
Installed the newest version of Spruce OS, fixes alot of issues stock firmware had. Enjoying mine so far, even plays less tasking N64 games like DragonBall Kart & Mario 64
For 35$? Nope... got it for 23$ on ali that huge price difference is what's killing anbernic right now :)

It wors great with MinUI, you can still milk it for the GBA and PS1, without retroachievements.

@holegrease yeah they're around 25-50 depending on storage but it's cheaper than a lot of websites where they are 80+
This comment is clicky, not squishy. 😅. You finally got me today to subscribe. No lie, I'm dying for the 405m. Mainly because of the aspect ratio and ease of use of android. Most retro systems were 4:3 or close to it. The 405m can play some of the higher end retro systems that my miyoo mini+ can't.
😂 it's one of my favorites. That and the Retroid Pocket 2s are my faves for GC and below systems. I'll be doing a affordable roundup video soon of all the top devices.
@@DaveyG I've just gotten to the point that each device has its own use case
no OnionOS, lackluster performance, tiny screen.... but I love the A30's full size buttons, the design calls to me. I went with A30 despite its flaws and despite the much better performing/better OS horizontal handhelds

It’s a shame about the software because the look of the a30 is miles ahead of the 28XX. It looks so good!

dude i have the anbernic 556 blue clear and the anbernic sp blue clear im playing pokemon run and bum on my sp amazing... and im playng pokemon eternal X with updated oras megas and updated typinga along with more challanging gym leaders with full teams and competative move sets both games are BRUTALLY hard AS Hell i love it being stuck in run n bum first gym for a month and being stuck in the 3rd gym in etneral x is amazing i love it i dont think ill eever beat these games anytime soon lol

Nice device. Got one myself. But that and the 28xx are just newer versions of the rg280m. The a30 is more so a updated version since it has a stick.

In my personal opinion, the main issue, is the size, i didnt realize the gaming position, i was thinking tha it was bigger, im a normal size guy, i dont want to have arthritis
Hi, there's a clock mode where you get to use it as background, do you know guys how to have it always on screen? Couldnt find how yet

Well he did mention that he couldn't get Drastic working. That's the DS emulator.

Just dont get the black version, that one is scuffed, its bend and terrible light bleed, get the grey or black/white one they seem to have had better quality control.

SQUISHY but not clicky
No headphone jack so if you're not okay playing on mute or on speaker so everybody in your house can hear you playing, this is a major redflag
Just use headphones with the adaptor included
It comes with an adapter for headphones
Playing on low volume is a thing you know 😏
