To je snadné! Děkuju!
Super!!! :) To mám radost.
I could not understand the first image in Ex 1 after your said, " Vy Jste ..........."
I love your videos and you explain so well 🥰
You mean that we use VY JSTE for a formal situation? I will try to explain:
For example: when you are talking to a professor at the university, you would tell him VY JSTE and not TY JSI

I was wondering if you could answer a question . I'm having trouble with the y in words like Vy, Ty etc. To my ear, sometimes for example, the y sound in 'Vy', should it sound more like the ending of english 'okay', or more like the 'ee' in tree? I have been listening to a lot of Czech, and to my ear it sometimes sounds like one, sometimes the other. Any help would me much appreciated!
Hi John, thanks for the question - for this i would like to hear the difference you are talking about. The punch line the sound vy and vi is the same in Czech so it might be better not to overthink this issue too much. There are of course some district in the CR where people pronounce it a little longer or softer, but there is not much importance in this distinction actually.
That is a great phonetic observation! Not knowing the English pronounciation so well, I think that difference in Czech pronounciation is indeed related to various regions. Compare the open/long vowels in Prague and the short/closed vowels in the East, both variants sometimes being considered disturbing or laughable even by the other Czech speakers.
Děkuju ❤
Have an amazing day everyone!!

Není zač, Ahmet! :) If you have any questions along the way, type it down, I will be happy to help. :)
@@CzechWithKaterina sure, I will have many questions in coming days :) just discovered your channel.
i just want to know if there is some cases where I should use the personal pronouns and thanks in advance teacher amazing work
Using them is not a mistake. It just makes you sound like you are stressing that you want to point out the person.
JÁ jsem Češka, ale ON není Čech!
Without using is it sounds neutral:
Jsem češka.
Není Čech.
It's similar to Spanish 😀 you can just say "Soy un estudiante" Instead of saying "Yo soy un estudiante" that's why I think Czech could be a little easy to learn for a Spanish Native speaker like me At least in that topic Osobní Zájmena and the pronunciation 😀
Yes! I am learning Spanish myself an I found even more similarities. Plus the pronunciation is quite easy for Spanish people.
@@CzechWithKaterina Yes, in fact in some words on your videos are the same in Spanish, for example, Vino - Yogurt - Minuta= Minuto 😀 But I'm not Spanish, I'm Mexican 😃
I'm having trouble with the pronunciation of jsem, jsi, jsme... When you pronounce "ja jsem" you seem to pronounce the "j" in jsem, but when using it without the personal pronoun I can't hear the "j" sound. It seems as it is only pronounced "sem". Please clarify this.
The you vs. you all distinction is simple: you address all adults (even in a fun setting) as you all, until the older one of you says “tykej mi (address me informally)”. Whenever possible this agreement is sealed with hooch, preferably slivovitz.
Interesting, hm? :) Thanks for the comment!
@@CzechWithKaterina A ano, jsem Češka. :)
hahaah it is funny you to explain with out pronoun 'ja' xd like ja jsem student!!
intonation is important
I love your videos
Ahoj Jayre! Děkuji moc :)
In pic number 5 in exercise 1 you said ty jsi sportovec....i don't understand why...i think i should say vy jste instead of ty jsi because it's plural
Dear Amer! The exercise isn't so much about singular and plural - actually the plural is something we haven't cover at all yet - it is about for you to figure out if it is a formal (vy) form or informal (ty) form. And on the picture you talk about are 3 friends and one of them says probably to the other: Ty jsi sportovec. The citure is only to show that the situation is informal and your job was to pic the formal or informal form. :)
Hope this explanation helped a bit the confusion. Have fun learning more!
@@CzechWithKaterina thank you so much
Většinou staří lidé používají sprostá slova na mladé.
😂
Když už je uváděn nářeční tvar "jseš", tak by bylo dobré uvést i "jsu".
podle újč je tvar jseš braný jako nespisovný, ne jako nářeční, a tvar "jsu" je pro toto video už trochu málo frekventovaný, ale jakmile se budu zabývat nářečními variantami, tak ho určitě zahrnu. Moc díky za typ.
Um listen I love you but so times u guys really do make mistakes please make a video of correcting the question three u mixed up there names and added a sentence or somthing like that and I just really am confused so please explain it to us also u didn't tell us the correct answers for question 3
