Katya is one of the most personable teachers I’ve ever seen content from. She makes me want to keep going, because her videos feel like talking with a friend.
Memorizing words is easy, but in order to sound like a Russian, you have to master those soft sounds and placement of accents. That's why videos by Russian speakers such as Katya are invaluable.
One should learn from native speakers for all kinds of reasons. Personally I made the choice not to be picky about the pronunciation or grammar until I know a couple of thousand words. Before I started learning Russian, I told myself "Okay dude, are you prepared to be bad at a language you want to be good in?" Because I can't become good without being bad first. This made me mentally prepared to focus on what I understand instead of what I don't understand. Perfection is the last stage.

@@watereewolfe You don't, you have to rework the phrase, like «Я посетил Москву и Питер в прошлом июне и был очень рад, что _перед поездкой_ прошёл эти уроки», otherwise you will subtly lose part of information about tenses. Although the listener might extrapolate your meaning anyway, if you say «я съездил ... и был очень рад что прошёл эти уроки» it won't be apparent when did you finish studying, it could mean that you started and finished studying while you were there. In Russian past tense is very simple grammatically, all of it is in the context and words themselves (for example, ездил - съездил). My greetings and respect to you!!!
When I choosed this video, I noticed you seem Taylor Swift. Then you explain "большой", dancing like her in "Shake it off" videoclip. Wow, it was wonderful. You both are princess... ;)
Thank you for this video. Please can you make one with like English pronunciation spelling? I'm from the ghetto but Russian will be my 6th language I've taught myself. I love this video. I will be here for about 5 days until I've memorized these words. Thanks again. Hello from 3rd Houston texas
We are moving to Krasnodar in near future and we have to learn Russian.
Реально удачи вратан! :)
Welcome to our city! =)
Hi! Krasnodar isn't a good choice. The city isn't nice at all, the most importantly people is greedy, and like to take advantage of new comers.
@@tanyamir09 Krasnodar has nicer climate. What would be your recommendation?
@@RiosTikvic I personally don't like a city there and people. That's me. You might go along with them.
Thank you very much! You are a good teacher! I can learn rusian better by you! I hope many good things for you! I am a vietnamese! Spasibo!
Катюша становится все красивее с каждым уроком! Как это возможно?
Her English is pretty good! I know a person who married a Russian female . They fell in love ❤️ on line.. the AMERICAN husband said she doesn't give in easy to arguments.. the good part is they stayed married for a good number of years...I enjoyed this lesson. They just need to repeat the lessons twice NOT just once!
Great information, just need to slow down a little bit before you move to the next. Thank you for your help; it's always appreciated!
thank you, you are the prettiest teacher
why am I blushing throughout the video
This was great and I'm impressed with how many similar/same words you have when compared to Serbian. Ја много разумем ваш језик. Поздрав из Аустралије😃

I have to say, that Katia, makes douse lessons extraordinary. The education approach and so on is good, but the appearance and the performance of Katya, move lesson from level "i have to watch" to level "I want to watch". Спасиба Вам балшое Катюща :)

3 часа ночи? Ты не спишь?😅
Drastvuti, Katia! Ochen Spasiba!
My first language is English so memorizing the words are easy, but it’s very difficult sounding them out 😅
Oh wow I'm fluent in Russian and I can tell this will help a lot of people
Я наоборот через это видео пытаюсь подучить английский язык 😅👌
английский надо учить у носителей английского языка

Great video. Saw the whole thing in one go!
Love ❤️ you and Russia 🇷🇺
Оо🥺 как приятно) ☺️
*put a like if you agree it is useful to learn them*
As a native russian speaker I should estimate this video as perfect. A small thing to add is that the question "Сколько времени?" instead of "Который сейчас час?" is much more common. "Который сейчас час?" sounds a bit old fassioned, yet it is gramatically correct.
1:59 Important, she used second person PLURAL and not singular, she is being more formal and polite^^
Edit: Native English speakers have trouble with that at first
