Yes! It's amazing to me how people want to discredit God because "slave owners" taught slaves should be that and submit to their masters with that bible. But that same bible, when I study it for myself with the understanding of the basic commandments of love, loving yourself as your neighbor and on those 2 things lay all the law and the prophets, the slave master, much like many modern day preachers, black, white or indifferent, can and will use Christianity as a tool to control people. We are all responsible for our choices when we stand before God and can blame no one, can point the finger at no one. What kind of Christian are you is a great question! His name will be on your lips, but your heart will not belong to Him. I hope this movie inspires and makes people think.

Its that Christianity didn't exist in Africa at that time. They are and were a majority of Muslim faith. Christianity was beaten into the slaves.

FetchBillionBarbie. It was as a great movie in my opinion... Perhaps the violent content of the movie turned you off, But it's a story that every black person of this generation needed to know. It's only been 186 yrs, since this happen. Please understand in 2017 black ppl, still do face a certain amount racism, that's just a fact!
