She's strong af for standing up for herself, but dumb af for talking trashy publically about her opponents while doing it. It was professional issue involving millions of dollars and involving her professional career and corporate Executives and corporate entities in her profession. You gotta keep it classy. And now she's saying that she was responding as a comedian would respond by making that they can suck my D joke. But it's not time for jokes. It's time for being serious. She let her emotions get the best of her and went to a lower level. When you do that, and entities have the ability to take away opportunity from you, that's what's going to happen. I mean, duh... but then she said they took away her livelihood, not opportunities. Now she's using Dramatics to make her look like the complete victim, when in fact they did not take away her livelihood. They took away certain opportunities from her and now she gets less opportunities and less money. That's precisely what happens when you embarrass people and corporate entities instead of having civil conversations. She actually made her own bed. And now she lies in it. That's called life.
Oh, but PS. What Oprah did to her was totally shady and not okay at all. Oprah shouldn't have had Monique's mother on her Oprah Show without at least calling up Monique and letting her know that that was going to happen. Oprah should have called her friend prior to Taping that show to ask her how she felt about it. Oprah failed Monique and betrayed her friend in not doing that.
She disagree! Ok! Say sorry for what! She is stating she worth something she isn't. Like a product in the store that is to high. You go to the store you say its to high. You don't buy and the rest of the customers in the store doesn't buy. What happens the price comes down. Because they need to sell it or it goes bad and they take a loss on it. My point if you can find a gig at your price from anywhere. Than you are over pricing yourself! Mo sounds proper in interviews. But on stage she sounds ghetto and etc. so she is type cast for roles like that. But there aren't to many and the competition is huge for them too. Even People in jobs today. Those jobs have a range! $60k-80k. You start at $65k. When you break out of the range. The company has to than think is it worth keeping you or hire someone new at $65k and start the process all over. Some jobs if they qualify for the position and can do the work. That's all they need. From a business standpoint. The loyalty is nice but if you get $100k for a $65k job and you aren't the only one if a company has 5,000 people in the same situation. you talking about $175 Million a year extra on top of the regular pay. Even if the company is grossing a billion a year that is 17.5% which has to be passed to the customer. And remember what I said about the product being to high. An increase in product cost may cause the customer not buy! So it may cause not only 5,000 people to lose their job but 15,000 people to lose their job. Thats because of the 5,000 people wanting more money. And maybe the company shuts down. You can say oh well and get another job. But the company owners are responsible and now going lose their retirements or futures!

Everytime I see Monique I think about her running up those stairs like a football player to throw the TV at Precious and little Abdul it's wrong but kinda funny lol
She stood up for what she believed in. Plain and simple. I'm glad RACE wasn't an issue but she had issues with the game period. And did it on her own. Congrats. Now watch with in 1-3 yrs what she did is what more will do and be called hero's but what about Monique who started it all? I can be wrong but this is how I honestly feel. She's done with the games and should be aloud an opinipn. She well earned it many yrs ago I would have said the same in her shoes.
I hate that. She has a mind of her own and doesn't need others to think for her. I felt so bad watching him talk over her, cut her off as if what she was saying wasn't important.
She is right to want it, but should understand she will never get it. An African American friend told me about "Crabs in a bucket" used by his father to explain treachery by your kind to survive, escape and stay on top! They will not risk theirs for hers! That's all

Integrity without wisdom is not smart. Steve also demonstrated integrity as the provider of his household. Monique needed to exercise wisdom and control over her own mouth. She knew she didn't like the deal, why streamline others and disrespect them? All these movie stars have their own reality stories of how horrid their lives were and the sacrifice they made to get where they are. Whatever the paycheck she was going to get would still be more than what others have. There is wisdom in fighting battles, whether revolutionary civil ones or political ones. Her story never changed 💁🏽♀️ I love how she stand up for the right thing👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
When the truth is the only thing that's ever stood up for you, you never change your story for anyone!
We definitely need more people following Monique's example.

I like Monique just because she’s funny and she’s amazing

Wow Steve. He just said he'll shuck and jive for the money. And told her to shut up and play her role. That's our problem now. Every man for himself.

That was one of the most powerful television segments that I’ve ever witnessed. It was such an important conversation to have for so many and on so many levels.

You're gorgeous!

@SUFI-4- LIFE!
Yes, when his contract in the US expired, Steve Harvey goes to South Africa to host Family Feud
Where is PART 2??? This was a great convo, I see both Steve and Monique's points
Right.
I am with you. I see both point as well. Monique has brought up some superb and strong arguments and so has Steve. I guess the issue is which points you agree with "more".
It got really heated after that.. Her husband came out and all.. From what i heard.. It just got really messy very quickly
That's what I'm saying 😂😂😂
LaWand Streeter is there a part 2 or the rest of it
Integrity is what she stands for ❤.
Steve basically said he sold his integrity for money. Wow!
I had to rewind that part. If you don't have integrity, you are a shell of a person.
Disappointing to hear that from a guy iv grown to respect- thats from South Africa
Yes he did
Steve Harvey your kids and grandkids would benefit more from seeing you as a broke person with integrity than as a rich coward .
I thought i was the only person that caught that he said he would sacrifice his integrity..wow!

As a black man, the fire in Mo's eyes gives me life! We need beautiful, strong women like this in our lives to help us along the way.
She is strong women and she speak from her heart
strong women are bosses. They don't beg others for jobs, they create jobs!
I was looking at a program and is very prestigious black woman she was speaking and all she was speaking add her program that she was speaking to all these black women she was speaking to one black man that I understood that he thought she was a great black woman I don't find a black woman that crosses over to the other side or a black man that crosses over to the other side I don't follow them they have nothing to say that I want to hear because I find that there's a weakness about them you want us to let you live comfortably hear what you have to say but you are not really on our side I don't understand it and I guess I will never understand it how many black people and office entertainment have left the black side
Go watch her on the breakfast club interview .... She is exhausting with the victim mentality.
Mad respect for both of them..to sit down and talk out an offense..that's how relationships get saved..
I'm gonna have to side with Mo. She a legend for this one. I STAN, MOE!
if she's such a legend why did she go to netflix and get mad when they offered her 500k. if she was worth 10 million then why didn't she put out her standup on her own like kevin hart? she's not worth 10 million. if she was, then netflix would have paid her 10 million. monique is a honda civic but she thinks she's a bugatti.
terrycloth verysoft exactly
If allowing your bad behavior and poor decisions to cause your career down fall.....then you are right Monique is a legend! Just because a black person use social media outlets to loudly voice their opinions don't make them right or a legend. Now days seems like anyone can be called a legend.
This is a classic argument between a realist and an idealist. Both have valid points but different world views.

You said it perfectly.
A sellout and a Queen

Sparkle williams What is she standing for she keeps trying to make this a race issue but all the people she is beefing with and don't want to deal with her are black. I always love how she handle her responses without hostility. She so elegant with it lol like foreal

When I grow up I wanna be just like her
Yessss!!😛😂😂😂
You must have not watched most of her interviews. She gets angry alot especially when you disagree with her. Which is exactly why she said in this same interview that she had to learn to agree to disagree without getting angry. She's always been hostile. Look up her past interviews. She knew the Steve Harvey show would get more publicity which is why she held her composure. She's not always that nice trust me.
Exactly thinking before she speaks not allowing herself to become angry over a disagreement with another brother.. take notes black community..
Mo never apologize for being real. More people need to be like you.
Everyone in the industry has already said that this is how Steve is…. He has said himself in his own comedy shows that he’d essentially sell his soul to win the “money game”. Integrity is the only thing you can take with you when you go, but plenty of people who are winning at the “money game” have forgotten that. Mo would rather die broke and jobless, than to die a sell out or a yes man. And that’s why she deserves her flowers💐
I’ll go with Steve’s way. Monique went to a gun fight with a knife.

She also can’t pay her bills because she’s real now she wants sympathy
@@GoogleAccount00 Now that is REAL!!!! Only broke people understand that keeping it real s###. Because most of them that say it are living from paycheck to paycheck. Steve makes well over $50million a year. Most of the "keep it real" crew will NEVER understand what he's actually saying. Smh......
@All Bossed Up Steve makes over $50 million a year. I think his wife is fine. And I also think Steve don't give a damn what broke people think. He knows 95% of them will never be in his position. Thus, they will NEVER get what he's saying.
@John Whirling and Unfortunately that's what all of these Pro Monique followers are missing. The BIG picture.

Mo’nique: I’m not in the money game - I’m in the integrity game.

Last year I agreed with Steve. Now I realize I was wrong and Mo’s position makes much more sense. Sometimes suffering is necessary to do the right thing. Growth never comes without pain. Even if loved ones are affected.
Much easier said than done. It’s a tough situation
She’s willing to make sacrifices for the greater good and he’s all about self...they’re on different paths.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. She knows the business she's in and what happens. She never had a problem with things in the past but now it's a problem? Nah. You don't get to claim it's not fair now when you've been benefitting from the system this entire time.

Monique is speaking in HER interest. She is not checking for anyone other than herself. She was labeled difficult going further back than the movie issue. She refused to do press for a movie and took issue with the consequences. Fast forward to the Netflix issue, they did not find an objective reason to offer her the money given artists previously.
