Girrrllll, I was thinking the same thing. For me personally, it’s so difficult for me not to interrupt or overtalk someone when I’m angry, or when I see that they are speaking about something that isn’t true, or attacking my character, or being disrespectful, etc. I definitely admire her for remaining composed, rational, calm, polite, and level-headed. Because it’s easier said than done.

Monique also isn’t taraji. I think there’s a difference between not being treated equal vs being treated like you’re really not a hot commodity anymore. Monique is kind of old news and wasn’t getting huge amounts because most people don’t care to watch her comedy anymore.

It is important to acknowledge that many people stood by Monique's side when she spoke about her experiences, but, unfortunately, this wasn't widely discussed. Additionally, it is worth noting that many black women had previously spoken out about similar situations to Monique's, but their voices were not given the same attention. Ultimately, everyone must support and stand up for each other to create a more just society.

She's strong af for standing up for herself, but dumb af for talking trashy publically about her opponents while doing it. It was professional issue involving millions of dollars and involving her professional career and corporate Executives and corporate entities in her profession. You gotta keep it classy. And now she's saying that she was responding as a comedian would respond by making that they can suck my D joke. But it's not time for jokes. It's time for being serious. She let her emotions get the best of her and went to a lower level. When you do that, and entities have the ability to take away opportunity from you, that's what's going to happen. I mean, duh... but then she said they took away her livelihood, not opportunities. Now she's using Dramatics to make her look like the complete victim, when in fact they did not take away her livelihood. They took away certain opportunities from her and now she gets less opportunities and less money. That's precisely what happens when you embarrass people and corporate entities instead of having civil conversations. She actually made her own bed. And now she lies in it. That's called life.

She disagree! Ok! Say sorry for what! She is stating she worth something she isn't. Like a product in the store that is to high. You go to the store you say its to high. You don't buy and the rest of the customers in the store doesn't buy. What happens the price comes down. Because they need to sell it or it goes bad and they take a loss on it. My point if you can find a gig at your price from anywhere. Than you are over pricing yourself! Mo sounds proper in interviews. But on stage she sounds ghetto and etc. so she is type cast for roles like that. But there aren't to many and the competition is huge for them too. Even People in jobs today. Those jobs have a range! $60k-80k. You start at $65k. When you break out of the range. The company has to than think is it worth keeping you or hire someone new at $65k and start the process all over. Some jobs if they qualify for the position and can do the work. That's all they need. From a business standpoint. The loyalty is nice but if you get $100k for a $65k job and you aren't the only one if a company has 5,000 people in the same situation. you talking about $175 Million a year extra on top of the regular pay. Even if the company is grossing a billion a year that is 17.5% which has to be passed to the customer. And remember what I said about the product being to high. An increase in product cost may cause the customer not buy! So it may cause not only 5,000 people to lose their job but 15,000 people to lose their job. Thats because of the 5,000 people wanting more money. And maybe the company shuts down. You can say oh well and get another job. But the company owners are responsible and now going lose their retirements or futures!

She stood up for what she believed in. Plain and simple. I'm glad RACE wasn't an issue but she had issues with the game period. And did it on her own. Congrats. Now watch with in 1-3 yrs what she did is what more will do and be called hero's but what about Monique who started it all? I can be wrong but this is how I honestly feel. She's done with the games and should be aloud an opinipn. She well earned it many yrs ago I would have said the same in her shoes.

She knew she didn't like the deal, why streamline others and disrespect them? All these movie stars have their own reality stories of how horrid their lives were and the sacrifice they made to get where they are. Whatever the paycheck she was going to get would still be more than what others have. There is wisdom in fighting battles, whether revolutionary civil ones or political ones. I think Mo and Steve are correct. I think in the world of commerce there is no such thing as pride or integrity except for towards or in the brand or product you are selling. In commerce it’s Trust the Brand not the person/company.

Steve has upwards of millions and his brand employs other who are able to have a great quality of life as a result. As a employer you have to take the egg in the face for your team, that is if you are an employer that has integrity. That word ‘integrity’ is a flexible word that Is applicable on either end of the spectrum.

We have to be subservient and we have to fight in a way that doesn't disturb the peace," bull is why we never get anywhere. There isn't a single time in US history or any other history that inequality or injustice was overcome peacefully or comfortably by anyone involved.
And the fact that MoNique has money makes her all the more qualified to speak out, bc she's in position to still survive (to a certain extent) even while being blackballed. She also has a larger platform to spread her message and call attention to the issue because of her status and money.

We're always crying for equality, fairness, and the elimination of white supremacy but then tell others we must work harder, move smarter, and not upset those (mainly white people) who have the money and power. We can't have it both ways. Either you're going to shake the table when it comes to unfairness, inequality, and forsaking your integrity or you're not.

@@ChristinaLibra Babe I totally agree with what you are saying, the problem is how you go about it , this is what Steve is trying to say. You are in the money game you can not go ghetto on people, by doing that you are changing the narative and the perception that people have about you and about your situation. This is the real issue with Mo' Nique, it s not the place she s coming from it s how she goes about it. Martin Luther King fought with love he didn t fight violence and injustice with violence and injustice and that s how he won, and that s how people like me, a white 30 year old woman from an eastern european country read about him, adore him and i try to be a better person because of people like him, because he talked to the humanity inside us no to the color of our skin, and humanity love compasion those are attributes that everyone can relate to. Mo' Nique went to say that she didn t get any money though she did win an academy award that she keeps bringing up every time she s speaking about her cv, how oprah and the rest can suck her dick, how netflix gave amy shumer more moneh because she s white so on and so forth. Netflix wants to make money so they pay based on how much money you can bring them. I don t like Amy Shumer it s not my cup of tea in terms of comedy but a lot of people like her buy her tickets and go to her movies plus she has a very good image in the industry, so she got better paid it s that simple. I m in marketing and business that s what i do for a living and after looking at Mo'Nique s stats i personally wouldn t have paid her moee either compared to other people.

She refused to do press for a movie and took issue with the consequences. Fast forward to the Netflix issue, they did not find an objective reason to offer her the money given artists previously. It is about money, power, and respect. She is upset she has none.
