  • Decades before the Civil War ended slavery, there were significant revolts and uprisings by slaves who fought for their freedom. One of the most notable slave revolts happened in 1831: they called it Nat Turner's Rebellion.
Rick Francis provided us with some historical insight into Nat Turner's Rebellion. He has a unique tie to the rebellion: he is a descendant of the family that owned Nat Turner.

Kinda telling, that the descendant still calls it an insurection.

if those 200 additional black slaves that were killed for nothing would have joined Turner we would be telling a different story

All of the documents and artifacts shown here belong in the Smithsonian National museum in Washington DC. Why on earth are they sitting in some small town historical society building? This us part of US national history. Appalling.

I find it interesting he still uses the term "slaves" to refer to those who saved his ancestors lives. He should have said : "the same people whom my ancestors exercised ownership over saved their lives, and for that - they are heroes in my book". But instead he still speaks with the air of superiority - meaning it was their job to save their masters, this is what was expected of them to do. With that thinking Mr. FRANCIS is letting everyone know by using the term *slave* that they were snitches. Peep the game family in the language, and don't get caught up in the conversation. People will plot on tou while speaking eloquently, but it is the use of select terms that show their hand. Stay woke.

Sad but the fact those kids were inheritors to slaves doesn’t justify killing them. They didn't choose to be inheritors. Their parents chose that for them
