Young man, I am 60 years old and this the music I grew up on! This is why the older generation says today's music is just not the same. Watching your reaction to this music makes me want to cry! God bless you and ENJOY THE MUSIC!!!
It is so inspirational to see someone moved the way this song moved you. Doesn't it seem like it came down from heaven like a beautiful curtain of love , a genuine miracle from someplace like heaven? One of the good reasons to stay alive and find more treasure.
I’m 62 and grew up listening to the Bee Gee’s. They don’t make music like that anymore. I was blessed to have been born in that era. They were talented beyond their years. They wrote all their songs and songs for other artist.
When people of my generation say that today's music is crap, is because the Bee Gees and so many other talented artists are what we were fortunate to grow up with. No auto tune, no cursing, no choreography, no crazy backdrops, just amazing, amazing talent. Keep Beiber far away from the Bee Gees. He is not worthy.
Today's music may be what they're listeing to, I have no idea, but you don't ever hear anything about the band, group, artist..whatever. It's sad. Progress doesn't always mean better, sometimes it just means more money for the channels, corporations and less if any for the artists(s). It seems that everything today is in a big rush. Rush to get everything done. All of the truth in music has been swallowed and is now gone. So now we wait and wonder when the music will be turned back on. If it ever will. What to do? Easy answer. Buy a turntable or tape player, a CD player might be an idea. But, remember, not all music was burned onto C Ds. Your best bet is start with the first two and make sure your tape player will record off your turntable. This is the best way to save. If you'all are wondering what really went down? The death of major labels, exit studios, musicians unions, ..the list can go on. The reality is everything became too expensive. Especially for the younger generation. So, the older generation came up with all these quick ideas on how to copy everything. Now what? Artists, stores, labels ceased to be on the receiving end. I don't even know what became of the "record" stores. If you want to buy, where do you? Run to your nearest PC store, got an extra thousand or more dollars hanging around. It seems that is what you'll have to do. Or you'll have to invest in a little i phone, sound is really awful, but short of having any real option, it seems the music world followed the monied world and left everyone else behind.
Brother, I was 13 years old when I heard the release of "Too Much Heaven" on the radio and no lie, it shook the ground I walked on. It was competing with many others, but it kept knocking them all down. This song had me in tears because, of all the beautiful songs we had, this song wore the crown. The flow, the lyrics, the vocals, the harmony, the instrumentation, the mix, the mastering, it was all top bill! And it was a song for charity. It didn't matter because the song said everything my heart wanted to say to this girl. And here it is in 2024 STILL having an impact on people. Barry Gibb knew what he was doing when he wrote this song. The Brothers Gibb didn't make a cent from it, but it solidified their legend!
This is why I'm so grateful that my Father always listened to this kind of music when I was growing up. I'm 23 years old and I hardly ever listen to today's music because to me today's music is crap. There are here and there some songs that I like but all my friends and family will always find me in music from the 60' up till the late 90's. Music from that era truly is the Golden era of music and The Bee Gees are a huge part of it. Music from that era is soulful and the artists put meaningful messages in their music and told stories that were and are relevant. I always say I was born in the wrong era man.
I grew up in the 70s and early 80s and can vouch that The Bee Gees put that stank stank on ALL of their songs. I too agree,DO NOT EVER let Justin "Autotune" Bieber or ANYONE for that matter go near any of their songs. There was no thing such as autotuned voices then like every singer today. Autotune was never even heard of back then and life was much, much easier then. You could actually go walk in your neighborhood without the fear of someone going to rob you, beat you for the watch on your wrist, etc. We would go outside in the mornings in the summer months and come home before dark, eat supper(dinner to some of you) then go back outside and build a bonfire and come in when we got tired. It's so strange seeing the generation of today react to these songs and I keep in my head,"how could you not ever heard any of these songs?" Then I remember I am 52yo now haha But the music we grew up with then,THAT was real singing. They put that stank stank on all of their songs.
You have been officially "bee-geed" as we all were back in the day...Loved your reaction and find it so entertaining and fun to see the younger gen. reactions that appreciate 'old school' musical perfection....
THE BROTHERS GIBB GET TO ME EVERYTIME I AM GIFTED THEIR SONGS, VOICES, AND JUST THEIR PEACEFUL AND LOVING PRESENCE. I WAS BORN IN 1973 AND I CAN LITERALLY REMEMBER PEOPLE, PLACES, THINGS, AND EXPERIENCES WITH THEIR MUSIC. ONLY GOD COULD'VE GIFT US THESE ANGELIC VOICES.💞👼🌎⏳🌟
There is nobody today that can sing like the groups back in the 60’s,70’s,or 80’s. They had harmony and they had a quick story. Their music will always be there. There are so many groups that you need to listen too.
Legends and incomparable Bee Gees. Featured in the Book of Guiness as the most successful songwriters of all times. They produced hits after hits. Sir Barry Gibb with brods Maurice and Robin cannot be surpassed in terms of harmonies.
There is NO ONE who can do this better than the Bee Gee's who wrote 100's of hits not only for themselves but for great artists....like Celine Dion ...Dianna Ross....Dian Warwick...Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton and oh so many more...plus collaborations with others like the great Michael Jackson.... The entire sound track for Saturday Night Fever...etc etc. More from these legends please. Hi from Australia
Too Much Heaven” the most beautiful song ever written by the Bee Gees. The most exceptional vocals, harmonies, and instruments. I chose this song for my daughter to be played at her wedding as a mother daughter dance 🤍 thank you Bee Gees for giving the world your most amazing and beautiful songs for a lifetime 🤍🎵
Yeah ....they are really THAT GOOD. They sing like ANGELS. Think their voices were on loan from heaven. Only Barry....the lead is still alive. They were all real brothers. The brothers Gibb.....shortened it to the new gees. Check out the righteous brothers also.....they were pretty amazing also. Enjoy your path of discovery!!!!!! Music and talent is forever
I have been a fan since I was 3 turning 4 and Massachusetts was a new and favourite word. I didn't know what it was but I liked the sound. Since then my favourite Bee Gee's song has always been the one currently playing. I am 60 now and that still has to be the answer.
This song is my favorite Bee Gee song and I love many of their songs. The words are just heaven. Barry's voice was so heavenly. For me most singers don't compare. Loved your reaction... so pure
Born on the Isle Of Sky the brothers started singing in early childhood. Their mother thought it was the radio, and went and found the boys singing. Cheers.
Barry, Maurice, and Robin were born on the Isle of Man. Andy was born Stretford, Lancashire (England) When Andy was 6 months, his sister and brothers moved to Queensland (Australia) Their sister, Lesley is the oldest. She can sing, but she didn't want to be in the limelight. However, when Robin left the group for about 18 months, she filled in for him. She and Barry are the last surviving members of the Gibb family. She will be 78 years old January 12th.
I LOVE love love your appreciation for my favorite musicians. The Bee Gees are World Class! I danced my first slow dance to Too much Heaven in 7th grade, and I feel the same way I do today as I did then. So classic. So brilliant. So awesome. RIP Maurice. RIP Andy. God bless Barry.
This is pure fire, it's called Talent, something that has gone away. Today a frog could be a star. The Bee gees were the Best. No mixers, nothing but talent
Just 2 seconds in and you already can't take their fantabulousness!! Man, you're a goner!! Gonna be addicted for sure!! LOL!! Love 'em!! Can't go wrong with anything you listen to by them!!
I love watching reactions to the songs I grew up with. Im 61 and remember when this song first came out, to me it was just an average song, because there was so much good music back then it was hard for one song to really stand out. The 70s just pumped out hit after hit. constantly. It was hard for the radio DJs to come out with a top 10 list back then.
To me this is the most perfect love song ever - the words, the melody, the emotions, the orchestration and the harmonies are incredible. Barry hit above High C with his falsetto and that with no formal voice training No one will ever be able to redo this song. And they donated all the royalties to this song, forever, to the United Childrens' Fund.
Perfection. Great reaction. You have hundreds more to look forward to with these brothers, their much younger brother Andy Gibb and now all of their grown children are making albums together.
Kinda gives you an eargasim, don't it? Musicians back in the day were just pure talent. They gave the people a piece of themselves and you feel it deep in your soul on a cellular level. It's pure talent. Thank you for keeping our music alive

The old classic music has something that a lot of people lost now a day's. That's deep powerful Soul. Set down and talk to an older person and listen to them respectfully. You would be surprised. I'm very glad that you liked this music.
Watching this 2.5 yrs later, and seeing the joy this musical masterpiece brought you, makes me smile. Hoping this joy is still finding you, and maybe this can be your reminder to listen again if you need a smile. Happy Holidays to you 😊
You have the BEST REACTION EVER!❤ Your reactions to this song reflect how I felt when I first heard this about 9 months ago. I literally cried because it is sooo beautiful. I grew up loving their 60s and Main Course album as well as their Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Then I lost touch & stopped following them, listening to other music and bands. So happy to rediscover the BeeGees. I'm 64 and so glad your Generation Z & Millenials are discovering them too!! Go Spotify! The internet is a beautiful thing. lol!❤

But only nearly fife percent of their songs includes falsetto (headvoices)! Check them out with songs like 'Paradise' and 'Blue Island', showing their great ability of perfect harmonies, also with natural chestvoices.
Hey man great job on your reaction! I think the depth and soulfulness of vintage music is something for all to discover. There’s certain musical groups that leave you a little bit changed after hearing the music. We can include the Bee Gees to be one of those.
These newer generations don't know what great music is. No hard profanity, no auto tuning and sex was talked about more in innuendo than being graphically vulgar.
I agree with 4464badge. I too am in my 60's (61) and watching you enjoy this music so much really does touch the hearts of us who grew up listening to the BeeGees. Thank you for sharing your video and introducing younger people to some amazing music by quite possibly the greatest singing voices to ever perform. It means a lot to us older people.

Justin Bieber's head might explode if he realized this song is pure talent without Autotune.
hahahahaha i feel off my chair reading this ahahahah
someone better message him then
Beiber has more sense than to touch any songs by the BeeGees. If he ever did, it'd be a catastrophic train wreck, career-ending move.
HE A JOKE
Please tell Justin Beiber to leave this classic alone!
This was before auto-tune this is PURE TALENT 101%.... NO ONE THEN OR SENSE CAN COMPARE TO THE BEE GEES THE GREATEST AT THEIR CRAFT.
You are absolutely correct never has been and never will be
Totally true!!!

The tags and instrumentals along with the falsettos make this the ultimate expression of musical genius. You're welcome to perfection.
Analog music had warmth and a richness that digital has never captured IMO. Bieber can learn from this music but never touch it. :)
