Welcome, to the unique, brilliant, beautiful, soulful, everlasting music of the best group EVER! The Bee Gees transport us to a world of exclusive and rare pop anthems.
I am always in awe what the voices and the music of the Bee Gees do to people. They really do take you to a different place. A place of serenity and love and decency and just heartfelt raw emotions that stir your heart and soul. It’s magic there is not even a good word to describe what they do to you when you hear them. It’s like heaven. A slice of heaven!!!!
Well said. All I can say is it goes right through my soul. I'm watching those reaction videos and it fills me with joy for the people who first listen to it.
Spot on! The Bee Gees are unique. They have 50+ years singing professionally. They have evolved and changed over the decades, but the flawless harmonies are still there. They write and perform their own songs. They wrote songs for other famous singers. They can also be very funny as well.sadly, Barry, he oldest brother ( the one in the middle in this video) is the only one left alive. They started singing together as kids. Barry just turned 75 and lives in Miami wit his wife. He has 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren, last I heard. Him and the twin brothers were born on the Isle of Man and later moved back to the mainland and Manchester. After their youngest brother Andy was born in 1958 they immigrated to Austrailia . That is where the Bee Gees got their real professional start and their name. They moved back to England in '67. They had some really great songs back then as well. They moved to America in the mid 70's ( I believe), Miami, Florida. They still maintained homes in the UK too. Barry and his wife became US citizens in the early 200's, but have duel citizenship with the U.K still. They also produced other artists. So much talent in one family!
Your comment about todays music all sounds the same is spot on. This is why the Bee Gees had lasted so long (50+ years), as they kept developing their music. If Barry Gibb had not tried and found that he could do falsetto back in 1975 for the song 'Nights on Broadway', who knows, the Bee Gee's might not have lasted as long as they did. But with Barry's falsetto which became so natural for him that he could turn it on and off when needed, allowed the Bee Gees to go off in another direction. If Maurice and Robin were still with us, who knows where the Bee Gees would have developed into for today. But they certainly would not sound the same as the music is today.
BeeGees never conformed. Harmony, writing, singing, producing. Their catalog is immense. Enjoy the journey! I am subscribing. Great reactor. Thank you.
Sadly you are right. Those of us who lived through the era of good music are often accused of being negative old people. Thank you for giving the oldies a chance.
Everyone gives the same reaction after hearing this song for the first time. Like they've eaten crackers all their life and accidentally found chocolate!!!! Usually the stare off in disbelief,... I love seeing that
These guys got better and better, i grew up with these songs always filled my heart with so much love and joy and thats whats missing from todays music 2023
I totally agree with you. Music from the 70’s and 80’s were so individual. From Rock, disco, blues, punk. People were themselves and it was great to hear very different kinds of music. The Bee gees were way up there on top of them all.
By the way, I couldn’t agree with you more. There’s so much crap out there now. These guys are at another level. Amazing is an understatement. The Bee Gees have been performing together ever since they were small boys. There are great documentaries about them on UA-cam that are worth watching. . Love your channel. Don’t apologize for being yourself. You’re not ranting. This is your channel.
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Music of yesteryear !!!! That won't be coming back. The talent is just not there in today's world. And people apparently don't want it, so sad!!!
This song is so darn beautiful. They donated all of the proceeds from this song to UNICEF. Beautiful men inside and out. Their range, harmony and song writing skills are second to none.
It is now over 20 million. Beautiful Men inside and out where money was NOT the reason to sing but rather sharing to joy of music. NO auto tune, just pure talent.
Now you may understand how all us oldies struggle with music of today, back then we had the best music ever, songs written and performed pure talent Bee Gees one of the best groups ever ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow. Saw how this music did a job on you. Facial expressions don't lie. Thanks for your insightful articulation of the state of culture today. Baa, baa. Must agree. This group though is an outlier. Popular as wine throughout the decades, but still encountering people like yourself who hadn't consciously recognised their talent. Welcome on-board the Bee Gee roller coaster ride. No two songs are alike and no genre sticks. They are everything and everywhere, but all perfection. Never ever going to have another group like the Bee Gees.
You are so right about the current state of “music”. It is like spray cheese, music today is over processed, canned and shot down our throat. Listen to “we are the world” and you will hear the diversity and beauty of the individuals.
Omg!You get it !This has been a great moment to see your reaction, and see you react ♥️👍🏻Michael McDonald and Ray Charles duo hey girl other song for the books listen my friend it's as duo that has been long over due 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻♥️♥️♥️
I have been listening to the Bee Gees from the 60,s then 70,s then 80,s then 90,s and so on which is a fitting tribute to a very talented set of singer song writers.I am 70 years old now and i am STILL listening to them.PURE talent always shines no matter how old it is.
Don't ever feel ashamed of your true feelings..You are 💯 when you said the music of today is crap..It is....I was raised on all the music of back in the day ..Yes!!! That's what Real music....Live concerts...Live music that told a story... So I agree with you no need to apologize for how you feel....
Oh the memories, you don't and want hear them like this anymore. Its sad you would think we would progress into better and better singers and it seems we have totally gone the opposite direction, back then we had true music with true musicians.
FYI: 150-200 million albums worldwide: 1000 registered songs: 100 top 40; 21 number 1 songs; USA UK AND AUSTRALIA ROCK N RILL HALL OF FAME MEMBERS ONE OF THE GREATEST RECORDING SINGERS (brothers) OF ALL TIME
PLEASE DO MORE BEE GEES!!! I won’t list any songs here…..so go to their greatest hits or check out what others have….& thank you for the honest reaction!
I couldn’t agree with you more! Everyone nowadays sounds the same! That’s why I usually listen to the music of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. A lot of great bands making great music!
I feel your pain music is not music anymore there is f(or some )no self respect some can't even sing then you hear the bee gees and other music form yrs gone by so beautiful and I am in my 40s I don't even know what's in thr charts any more x agree with all you said..
You hit the nail on the head regarding music then and now. Then, everyone was trying to establish their own unique sound and identity. They were devoted to their music. Their art. Money was a by product. Not the reason for their craft. They were always trying to discover the possibilities of musical equipment and sonic manipulation. It was an incredibly fantastic time to live in and I am so fortunate to have grown up with this tidal wave of experimental and boundary stretching music.
Brother you hit that nail perfectly on the head and drove it flush home on one wack! You completely and utterly get it about today's music industry. Well said.
I was born in the 60's from Nat king Cole All artist had their own unique sound, it was different back then....now it is about sucess and being the next american Idol.....the kids all sound the same....in My day you were unique in your own way..No copy cats...
I love ur bee gees reaction. My husband and I fell in love to the bee gees. Brings back beautiful memories. And ur RIGHT, where has music gone. Music doesn't get any better than this. Their music takes ur very soul to another place. Today, unfortunately, music is trash, lyrics are vulgar. I'm so blessed to have grown up in the 70s. Ur the best. I'll keep warching
PRICELESS REACTION! Best I’ve ever seen to this song. Welcome to a world where music really was THIS good! Another thing you should know about the BEE GEES is these 3 brothers also wrote all their own songs. Your “rant” was so on point! You said exactly what I’ve been saying for years…everyone sounds the same. The BEE GEES were relevant for 3 decades because they adapted their style but always maintained their uniqueness. Listen to some of their other songs & you will continue to be impressed. BTW, I’m 79 years old so I’ve been exposed to A LOT of music & this group is still my favorite.
I LOVE the BeeGees!! Don't know if you've ever heard anything from Al Stewart before, but he is very unique also. He did lots of historical songs like "The Palace of Versailles", "The Road to Moscow", "On the Border". The biggest hit was "Year of the Cat" - that song has everything, right down to classical guitar solo, followed by electric guitar solo, followed by saxophone solo.
Your reaction was legendary wow you were blown away and you brought me to tears. I danced to this song at my high school prom, my wedding, my daughters wedding and I’d god will let me at my granddaughters weddings……..the BED GEES are legends and your reaction was legendary too. Yes if it doesn’t fit into a round hole they won’t let it be recorded…………Drones metverse it’s all shit
Sir if you don't like the song just say so but let me say this the bee gees are the best and will always be the best 💓 there father was a ban leader and there mother was a singer so took to singing natural and that's why they are so popular
They originally came from the IK then dad got a job in Australia where they started as young guys. Then back to England! Beautiful song period great for first couple dance at a wedding. # 1 on chats in the USA and Canada.. could be missing a country when it first came out, eventually getting to the top three legends as Elvis, Bong Cosby. and Mj
Wonderfully said. Dead on. Not all new music is crap, but when autotune becomes the norm to save studio time in order to push more music out and make more money, what you get is everything sounds the same... Great video
Bee Gees did if for 50yrs. There's so much out there of them. Each song is so unique . You won't get bored. Could I also suggest The Righteous Brothers.....again REAL VOCAL TALENT unlike any other
Great song! 👍👏😊 I grew up listening to them. Legend. It’s just too bad that Barry is the only one left. 💔🙁 Their harmonies were awesome. Great reaction.
Love your rant. It is the way I feel when i go to Planet Fitness and the tan/ massage chair room has video monitors showing one modern song video after another. They all sound the same. You have pointed out some exceptions. But they really are the rare needles in the haystacks of boring industrial music produced these days. I hope you continue to listen to the BeeGees dozens and dozens of hit records. You can just go to a greatest hits list but dont get mired down in too many 1960s hits. The Main Course album is the best place to start - every song is great. Spirits Have Flown and Night Fever would be next. Thanks for a great ( uninterrupted) reaction! Keep on finding the gold amidst the all the rubble!!❤❤❤
Not too hard you are 100% right I noticed a change in the music on the airwaves during the 90s. It was like all the originality of musicians from the 60s, 70s, and 80s was eliminated. Instead, I noticed a bunch of rap, reggae, and hip-hop being played. It was like all FM radio stations (back then) conspired to feed us commercial music. Even the subject of the songs changed, in the past they were more about feelings, relationships, or that one special person and after that it was all about material stuff. I have been saying that for years.
My first time with you; I'm a HUGE Bee Gee's fan for > 50 years. Agree 100% with your observations and critique. But enjoy these guys until things improve OR to MAKE things improve! Subscribed! 😊 BTW, try their song "Kiss of Life" - link attached: ua-cam.com/video/MWwrHhElI60/v-deo.html
You are so right, everyone these days wants to sound the same. Back in my time growing up (late '50s and on into the '90s), musicians, song writers and singers wanted to be different, which brought us so much variety. Bee Gee's have somewhere like 6 decades of music and each decade is different. They were song writers first & foremost. It's worth your time jumping down this rabbit hole of music. They just have too much good music to mention here... different styles, from country to classical and everything in between..
What has destroyed music today is corporate pursuit of money over art. They zero in on a style that sells well and then use that formula to create more "product" to make money from. Variety and different approaches to music are forbidden. Toe the corporate line. Copy what has made money and let's make more. It is a damned shame and it has smothered creativity to death. I urge anyone who hasn't been exposed to music in the 60's and 70's to give the songs an honest listen. You will be amazed at what true artists. True talent created.
I know this reaction is a few years old and u probably won’t see this comment but I absolutely loved it. Actually got choked up. If you are looking for someone new and completely out of the box, may I suggest you take a listen to an artist named Ren and react to “Hi Ren”. You will be blown away. The talent this guy has is something we haven’t seen in a very long time. After that song you will have a ton of Renegade fans flooding you with requests.
Great reaction guy, I don’t know if you have reacted to Pentatonix yet but your appreciation of music will be blown away by them. Give them a listen. Their new song “The Prayer “ just dropped. Give them a listen, you won’t be disappointed.🎶🎶💕💕🦋
You don’t look old enough to have seen them live. There is only Barry left. Maurice died in 2003,and Robin in 2012. This world could use some Bee Gees right about now.
I feel sorry for today's music/singers being "all the same"... I grew-up in the 1950's and 1960's, and there were different groups/solo performers with different sounds and performances almost every month on the "Top 40"... "Variety Was The Spice Of Life"... Hopefully times/sensibilities will promote "La Difference"...
They wrote over 2000 songs, ridiculously prolific. Many were for other artists and so many were hits. The homogenization of music may be the result of a global culture producing an amount of digital entertainment too quickly to filter easily, making the signal to noise ratio more of a "noise to signal" ratio.
They were influenced by The Stylistics and Delfonics soul groups of the 60s and 70s. React to The stylistics songs. , you make me feel brand new, betcha by golly wow, you are everything, break up to make up. Delfonics. La La Means I Love You, Break up to make up
Welcome, to the unique, brilliant, beautiful, soulful, everlasting music of the best group EVER! The Bee Gees transport us to a world of exclusive and rare pop anthems.
Welcome to the BeeGees fanclub .. I joined 45 years ago .. 🥰
You have expressed so clearly what a lot of us feel. I was young then, the music was great NO Auto Tune
I am always in awe what the voices and the music of the Bee Gees do to people.

beautifully written, Kathy.
Thank you for not turning off the video during the song!
Yes man you've got it. I'm 70 and I love real musicians. Liked and subscribed.
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever!! Their music touches your heart and soul!! Watch Fanny be tender with my love!!
Most beautiful song ever!
You're spot on about todays singers. Todays music is in a crisis and it sucks.
EXACTLY. THANK YOU! WE ALL AGREE WITH YOU.
I have listened to your reaction numerous times. You are sooo correct. Music died 20 years ago. The BeeGees were definitely unique.

Maurice taught Barry how to use his falsetto. Maurice had a great falsetto also.
@@susanbezio1529 As a matter of fact, Maurice sang the highest falsetto.
BeeGees never conformed. Harmony, writing, singing, producing. Their catalog is immense. Enjoy the journey! I am subscribing. Great reactor. Thank you.
I agree with you 100%... I took all of this amazing music for granted... I was a child of the 60s and 70s and early 80s.
Sadly you are right. Those of us who lived through the era of good music are often accused of being negative old people. Thank you for giving the oldies a chance.
You will never see this but I'm an old man from the N.C. mountains and absolutely agree with you.
I see you, acknowledge your kind words and appreciate you taking the time to respond. Please tell me what music you feel I should listen too.
@@HawksmereAhhh....how kind of you to respond right away!☺️

That won't be coming back. The talent is just not there in today's world.
And people apparently don't want it, so sad!!!
Yes!!! I whole heartedly Agree, 100%
This song is so darn beautiful. They donated all of the proceeds from this song to UNICEF. Beautiful men inside and out. Their range, harmony and song writing skills are second to none.
To date this song has raised $17,000,000 for UNICEF.
It is now over 20 million.
Beautiful Men inside and out where money was NOT the reason to sing but rather sharing to joy of music.
NO auto tune, just pure talent.
And they wrote this song and the song, Tragedy, in one afternoon!!
Spent my youth growing up with this music Bee Gees were the greatest falsetto singers ever, this is a beautiful song ❤

You are so right about the current state of “music”. It is like spray cheese, music today is over processed, canned and shot down our throat. Listen to “we are the world” and you will hear the diversity and beauty of the individuals.

I have to admit that most of your generation wouldn't exist if not for the Bee Gees love songs.
As to Bob Dylan, "How Does it Feel" is my favorite. It's so real.

It's all the music industry's fault. Record companies and executives. They've ruined new music. We as the public need to take back real music.
Barry is the last of the three BeeGee’s😢
Great reaction guy, I don’t know if you have reacted to Pentatonix yet but your appreciation of music will be blown away by them. Give them a listen. Their new song “The Prayer “ just dropped. Give them a listen, you won’t be disappointed.🎶🎶💕💕🦋
Please listen to Journey live in Houston 1981 MOTHER FATHER…..YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Today's music is canned. Run through a computer. Auto tuned. Music like the Bee Gees was all talent. This was recorded live. In one take. It's real.
Staying Alive 1977
You don’t look old enough to have seen them live. There is only Barry left. Maurice died in 2003,and Robin in 2012. This world could use some Bee Gees right about now.
I feel sorry for today's music/singers being "all the same"... I grew-up in the 1950's and 1960's, and there were different groups/solo performers with different sounds and performances almost every month on the "Top 40"... "Variety Was The Spice Of Life"... Hopefully times/sensibilities will promote "La Difference"...
Please react to Fanny Be Tender by the boys. It is my favorite Bee Gee’s song. I think you would like it.
The audio studio cut particularly.
They wrote over 2000 songs, ridiculously prolific. Many were for other artists and so many were hits. The homogenization of music may be the result of a global culture producing an amount of digital entertainment too quickly to filter easily, making the signal to noise ratio more of a "noise to signal" ratio.
