Orion still have straps which can be used in Surf mode and Freeride Mode?
I good overview. I'm just curious to what the difference is between the Jones bindings and the Now bindings? Since Jones is using the skate-tech, are they just Now bindings with the Jones logo and graphics on them?
Jones uses the Now Skate Technology but other than that they are completely different bindings. The binding line is designed by the Jones R&D department in collaboration with Jeremy and other members of the pro team.
Do all of these work for split boards too. Or is added hardware needed
I would love to pair some Jones bindings with my new Mind Expander but I ride up to 30 degrees on my front foot and high back rotation is important to me. Any plans on adding that feature in the future?
When he rides the Freecarver 6000s or 9000s Jeremy rides with a front angle of +35°. He uses the Jones Mercury Bindings for this as they give great high back support.
What is his rear angle? I've run 35 front, and friends thought I was crazy until they saw me shred. Size 13 boot BTW.
FYI - the Apollo bindings aren’t that stiff. Strapped in, sanding still on flat ground, I’m able to flex mine enough to slide my pinky finger between the bushing and the top sheet (about 1 cm)! Upon closer examination, the flex is coming from the carbon hanger flexing, not the bushings compressing. Instead of running these on my custom ultra wide snowboard as planned, I’m just using them on regular width board and hoping they have been rigorously tested as it would be catastrophic if that carbon hanger fatigued and snapped. Another thing I was upset at is I left an honest review on Jones site about these stiffness concerns but it got screened and never posted because I didn’t give it 5 stars. Meanwhile, another 5 star review I left on a board posted no problem lol
