I have an 08 that I have lived out of. Just an amazing car. I will admit that I have used the air conditioner quite a lot when sleeping in the car. Seems to be good thus far, but I get why it I need to be more careful.

I just purchased a 2007 Prius last month. The car was $4900 plus fees. There was an issue with the hybrid battery so I had it replaced by a Toyota dealership. I was told the battery should be good for about 15 years. The car appears to be running okay. It has 173.000 miles.

I had the choice of buying a battery off of the Internet and getting someone to install it. I chose to take it to Toyota. It was $3500 but the battery will last at about 15 years I have a warranty.

Suggestion for Gen 2 video - get code 76 on A/C diagnostic, recharge Freon or compressor - how to tell? In my case takes an initial charge of Freon after pulling vacuum, but compressor won’t draw more. About to buy a compressor but no way to tell?
Does your low side show high pressure on the gauge? And the high side show low? Cause if so the compressor isn’t circulating and the frion which means it isn’t working

Have you experienced more head gasket problem on model 2010 compared to other gen 3, or is it just as a big problem on all gen 3?
10-11 not so much 12-15 but still have seen it

@carhub2178 that's good to know. I was told that mine was redone within the last couple years. But it doesn't seem like they do very well. So who knows if it was done.

my 2020 avg 67 mpg le front wheel drive makes my 2004 avg 40 mpg seem like a gas guzzler - the 2020 is 35percent quieter smoother safer & handles better- I still liked the 04 a lot though- us prius dorks are strange opinionated wackos- electric cars are gaining great acceptance/always improving dramatically 300-400 miles b4 needing a 18 min charge off the sun- We have to have clean air- Its not negotiable GAS WILL 4sure fade away a little at a time Unless u start ur own country & oil well UR f//cked PEACE MR

4th gen is ugly from the back… i have all my family on gen 3 and they’re also solid cars, no issues whatsoever.
Don’t let the water pumps go bad then your engine will pop a head gasket, then you won’t be saying that
@@carhub2178 i’ve been driving gen3 since 2017 for what, 5-6 yrs, and never once any indication of head gasket issues.
