Got 325000 on mine. Runs great. Got it with 260 just did battery for 1k and abs for around the same also my fuel pump and MAF plus upstream O2. Just cheap basic maintenance. I get 38 doing Uber running the car nonstop 8 hours a day with ac on all the time.
2010 Prius owner. 154,000 miles. Not one day of trouble. None. Still gets 48ish mpg. Original batteries. Only One brake Change. Burns a little oil and eats headlights… that’s it! ❤
Hello. I have the 2012 prius business edition. I drive it for 5 and a half year now. It drove 206.000 kilometers. I never had repair costs or issues with the car. I was looking for an EV today to replace the prius. But car prices are extremely expensive here. I just can’t afford it. So i guess i’m stuck with the Prius. I hope it stays good
I just picked up a 2012 prius with 186k from the original owner. The thing was taken care of VERY well, only flaw is the clear coat started peeling a couple years ago. Got a good deal on it for the condition. I needed another car because my old daily gets 16mpg and needs a lot of work done to it that I can't do with just a weekend off from work. Really liking it so far tbh. It's the same color as yours
What I don’t like about my 2012 prius is the dated oldschool green dashboard lights. It just looks like it’s something from the 90s. In 2012 you would think they could have led color dashboard lights or just a white led color Digital dashboard board instead of dated green
I like the retro look of it but it definitely is dated even for 13 years ago. There are other models of the Prius, the V and the C seem to have updated dashboard graphic lights with color but they didn't upgrade the normal Prius dash until 2016. Very strange decision. I'm replying to a 1-year-old cum and because I'm in the market for a Prius and I might get the 2012 version but still don't know
I have a c6 z06, c5z, LS swapped restored c10, Fiesta ST, few motorcycles and 2 Prius. I drive them through the week. Absolutely great commute vehicles.
This is very funny. This is the POS car, that you totally rely on because your ‘really good’ and ‘proper’ automobiles keep breaking down, or need new parts. There is very little Toyota did wrong with developing the Prius, from buying the patent off of GM for the transmission (which is kind of like a differential, it has no friction plates except a ‘torque limiting’ one for certain situations), to continual refinement, and being able to UP the engine size all the time, but still get better mpg. If Toyota had sold this as a special kind of automatic transmission that did away with the torque converter and the friction plates and so on, instead of a hybrid, I’d have bought mine 13 years earlier. As an added proof that essentially it is derived from a differential, not that the transmission has three input/outputs…the ‘big’ ICE 16-valve engine, the large Motor-Generator, and the small Motor-Generator. The design is genius, and is second only to Tesla single-speed in its reliability, and Tesla’s system is barely a transmission at all. All other hybrids, all other manufacturers, have a lesser system, a more fragile system, than the Prius, for transmission. It is not CVT with pulleys and fragile drive belts etc. It is in mechanical engineering terms, the closest thing to ‘solid state’ you can get. Good description, take care.
I had to buy a car and the costs and interest rates were terrible. Per advice from many retired military people who live near me, I bought a 2010 Prius with 108,000 miles.. So far it is great. I think its best use is around town. Also it has a great cargo area with back seats down for picking up this and that. Weirdly, the radio is great. I am trying to turn down the bass since it makes the rear window vibrate when I turn up John Coltrane, but oh well. So far so good.
PS I have to be careful not to run over people in my retirement community. They do not hear very well. Also, I have the "small old car" syndrome. We do not get any respect. Someone already hit it and I lay on the horn more often than ever when I am driving my daughter's huge SUV. (She makes me take it on road trips, thinking it is safer, but it always breaks down. She replaced it because a hose broke! )
How did the dash get so many surface scratches? Is there somebody with jaws and claws prior owner? I've had mine for 8 years I haven't had a single scratch on it dash, but I do have my dings and Nick's throughout the years from all kinds of reasons one putting in bikes in the hatchback I'm a mountain biker! but the dash with the surface scratches how do you think that happened that is weird!
I am coming into the years as it's close to 200,000 MI with EGR issues cold morning death shake! So far I have taken apart the intake manifold and clean it entirely out entire weekend, and lubed the EGR valve plunger but haven't cleaned total carbon out it yet that is the next step
Oh when I did the intake manifold completely clean it out over the weekend it felt like a gained about 7 or more HP it was that dirty and helped out!!!
I have 2012 pruis my egr valve with bad it took me 15 hrs to change because my dumb ass took the egr cooler off to clean it also clean manifold new spark plugs and coils . Am the original owner it has 170k miles when ever my hybrid goes bad am just get a new oem original one.
Saying that it has no passing speed is a tad hyperbolic lol. I drive pretty average on the highways, and I never have any issues passing anyone in my 2010 Prius. Granted I only pass when I need to pass and I’m not getting into races with guys at 85 mph…

LED headlights last much longer
@@VYBEKAT we installed some and they are lasting MUCH longer!! 👍👍👍👍
You could move your oil changes to less miles between changes

My 2007 Toyota Prius has 347,000 miles..and still going
I got a 2015 prius, 139,500 miles with zero issues. Never gave me one problem.

They are great cars. Unfortunately, mine has been totaled by a crazy driver on the highway. I will always miss it.
Hey how much did you pay?
my 2011 ran good till the head gasket blew at 274,000 miles now it needs a new engine :(
cheap jdm engine $900, and go another 275K
I think you mistaken it is a slow car. If you push the power button , it out run merce or BMW. It smoothly touches 180-200 without much effort.
Me too . . . LovePrius
What lightsdid you get for it. My 2013 is awful and I can not see at all. 😊

Only person I’ve ever seen say that the seats are comfortable for long trips and that the cabin is quiet when driving

What mode do you usually drive this prius at? Normal? Eco?

Prius 2011 series is the best series of prius legacy
3rd gen Prius for life. Except for mine which was totaled by a guy on the highway lol.
The 1st thing that comes to my mind is egr carbon build up and head gasket failures. Only 3rd gen so far.
Clean the egr system and cooler, and not a problem
The rust would progress no matter where you are. Florida has salty air, so even worse. Did it?
just got the exact same car
Never really gets to the reason he's selling it....parking problem? ....but it's a great car?
You can be a good used car salesman
only person ever to own both a gt350 and prius
Hahaha that’s probably true.
@@austinsautos1919 both are cool cars in there own regard
And a Hayabusa 😆
Toyota Prius 10,000 times
I'd never buy a prius personally if I had to get a budget hybrid I'd get a lexus ct200 because it looks alot better as its the same car basically
