  • This is a detailed tutorial on how to crochet a secure magic ring with plush yarn.
    There are a few magic ring alternatives but this is my personal favourite as it is the most secure.
    Yarn used: James C Brett Flutterby Chunky
    Similar yarns: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Hobbii Baby Snuggle

      The solution is that you make your ring as tiny as possible from the beginning. Pull the circle almost close after you have just started the ring. For beginners it's quite difficult to see the right "hole" to go through and also make sure to pick up the second yarn (yarn end) as well.

    • @thelnepoet1
      @thelnepoet1 Рік тому +2

      @@disdonc6012 Thank you for the tip!

      @@thelnepoet1 You're welcome 🙂 My kids (upper-elementary students) always want this plush yarn and then realize how hard it is to make the magic ring. So I mostly end up doing it for them ;-) The problem is that the actual yarn that the plush is attached to is very thin so that easily gets "knotted" when making the magic ring. Even after only one stitch it's very hard to pull the ring close. If you pull too hard the thin yarn will snap.

    Omg this changes my life tysm! I've been crocheting 2 chain then do my magic ring in the 2nd stitch from hook but it's not as good as a magic ring :/ (It works well tho)

    Ok so what did I do wrong if I end up with a bean shape instead of a circle?? I've tried this so many times and I keep getting beans.

    I love your tutorials! Can you tell me why you start magic ring by wrapping yarn around fingers twice? Other tutorials I have watched only do it once and work the ring on one strand of yarn. Thank you 😊

      There are a few different ways of doing the Magic Ring, but I use this one the most as I find it the most secure 😊 But it really just comes down to personal preference

    Am I the only one who’s struggling. I’ve done it like a hundred times at this point and have only successfully made a magic ring like 5 times. It’s been three hours since I started and I still can’t figure out how to pull the yarn to put the ring together.
