Scrub Left Conflux Kings Fall is my most played and favorite raid. I used to play on Xbox 360 for a while so that’s the best content we had. I did hard mode all week with my team without a mic and god do I miss them.
I fondly remember getting kicked out of Kings Fall for having a higher pitched voice by my friend. They never completed the raid. A few weeks later we were doing it again, and I kicked him out for whining about one of our member's voice. We completed it a lot quicker without him. Good times.
Yeah I remember back in the day one like 30 year old kept fucking up and making excuses but everybody was cool with it. And then the second I died because my teammate wasn’t helping out I got kicked. I was better than 90% of the people I played with😂. But, those were the days. As much as I hated it, at least I enjoyed the game.
I remember my ''friend' saying once ''if you get kicked I'll leave''' I got kicked and he didn't leave and when he came back he said ''they said your shit and need to quit'' but the net day i did the raid witha team that taught me how to do it, haven't spoke to that guy since that day.
LFG changed my life. Through it, I met my best friend that I still talk to this day. I’ve known him for 5 years now. We met doing the Kings Fall raid. We both got kicked for being squeakers, so we decided to play together. Soon after, our friendship quickly became close, and we bonded. He’s one of my best and closest friends, and to my surprise, he lives 10 minutes away from where I live. We have hung out a couple times, and we continue to build our friendship.

My 2 friends and i lfg’d for a group for vog. One of them was hammered and could barely aim. We got a normal chill dude, a mormon, and some drunk guy who worshiped the giant spaghetti monster(his words not mine) at the very start of the raid the spaghetti guy and the mormon we re talking theology and why they believe what they believe. This lead my drunk friend to drink even more while me, my other friend and normal guy were dying laughing listening to the two. By the time we got to oracles my friend was so wasted i legit saw him shoot a wall until he was out of ammo. Meanwhile mormon and spaghetti were talking about their favorite drinks. Cold beer for spaghetti and a tall cool glass of water for mormon. We wiped multiple times at oracles while these two debated back and forth on moral and religious ideologies. Eventually we called it a night after wiping for the tenth time. We may have never finished that raid but its a cherished memory for me. I know so much about mormonism and the great spaghetti monster from these two debating. Wherever those two are I have to say thank you for being yourselves and allowing me to observe you two. Guided game isn’t an attempt at in game lfg. They just need a menu or social space where people who want to do the same activity can go. Will people not have a mic? Probably. Will people suck? Probably. But at least it gives solo players a solid chance at high end stuff.
They'll never institute one because Bungie whole-heartedly believes that a Discord server and third-party websites are good enough. They don't believe development on a true LFG system in-game is worth their development effort, not to mention that they continue to believe their raids are "too complicated" for randoms despite that being what the third-party sites are putting together.
My best lfg memory happened earlier this season, my first time actually lfging in d2, i had just came back to the game after halfway through season of the undying and had also just learned last wish around 3 days prior with my new clan. I had stayed up the entire night doing some raid runs with that same clan, i was praying for that godroll supremacy but didn't end up getting it. Nervous as all hell i decided to hit up PC LFG for one last run before i conked out and prayed that it wouldn't go south It honestly couldn't have gone better, as a group we barely spoke but were on point with our actions, it felt like we had exchanged hellos and goodbyes in a blink of an eye, and i had a big ass smile on my face once we reached the chest room because i knew that what i had just experienced was one hell of a good run. I've had my fair share of good and bad experiences after that but i don't think any lfg run is gonna ever top that one for me. (I didn't get my supremacy tho q_q) (Edit: spelling)
So bad ass how some random cool guardians came together and got that raid done as a worlds first 💜 shows the potential of the social aspects destiny can have ,quiet Beautiful 🙌🙏
This feels weird watching these Day1 Raid vids. See, I actually only started playing Destiny 2 recently, but I had been watching my dad play Destiny since Destiny 1 came out. And so many of these Raids I’ve watched him play with his fire team. And I’ve only watched 1 raid race live, but now I get to see more about these raids and learn what made my Dad want to play them a ton.
Yesterday I had the best of the few LFG experiences Ive had. I joined a spire of stars boss checkpoint thinking we would just do it and be done. however, that turned into a 2 and a half hour boss hell. It was me, two other people who knew what to do (but had never done it yet) one person who had completed spire, a person who had to be taught and had had four beers, and a person with no mic. but low and behold two and a half agonizing hours later we finally managed to kill the boss (after having to reload because the orbs bugged), we all got the emote, then went to the tower and sat in a circle as we celebrated. we all friended each other and I hope we play again some day. This is one of my best memories in destiny, and gaming in general
NGL some LFG's can absolutely shred through bosses if u get the team that just doesn't talk or say anything unnecessary, needs to hear instructions only once during the entire raid to function, and doesn't freak out when dead just says "I'm dead" and then waits for the respawn, revive, or for the encounter to end and they respawn
Running Kings fall at the end when you do damage to Oryx... usually you leave a bubble in the middle and do damage going forward... a fellow guardian then popped a new bubble that no one realized was there and we all continued to fire... in the bubble.. still have the clip on my live... remember it was a long encounter... he left btw but no one was mad... he must of just been embarrassed
If you're on PC there are plenty of people on the LFG discord server who guide people through raids. I don't have any friends who play D2 either but I've done all the raids plenty of times by grouping up with random people. Just google "destiny 2 PC LFG discord".
@@soulfire4381 There's also an LFG server called D2 Sanctuary designed for people with social anxiety, disabilities, and other things that might cause one to be reluctant to use a normal LFG. Google "D2Sanctuary discord".
Catalysts were introduced in Warmind. The Telesto catalysts was added to Prestige Eater when the Prestige mode came out (same with sleeper's in Spire).
Bungies fault for releasing a half baked raid, but still think it’s unfair to diminish the team’s accomplishment just cause they aren’t Redeem or some other content creator team. The real issue here is normal guardians(people) can’t compete against the celebrities of this game. Hell even the worlds first race is rigged against console .
hey genuinely thank you so much for putting out such consistently good content on destiny always. Genuinely keeping me interested in the game and the lore despite it slightly fading in recent months. You, probably actually are responsible for me like, logging in and finishing up stuff I need to get before beyond light. Thank you.
I know I’m a year late but I remember I LFG’d for a raid group on Hard Mode Kingfall and we one-&-done the entire raid in 45 mins. My best LFG experience!
I remember doing a lfg for the wotm raid in d1, we flawless every encounter everyone was very knowledgeable and no mistakes was made.... Best raid session I’ve ever had.
Just cleared my Divinity run last night from GoS. Team fully formed from LFG, we went fresh, took nearly 5 1/2 hours. Finished Sanctified Mind at 1:30 in the morning, but opening that chest and seeing Divinity pop up. Made friends that I'll never forget. 👌
wish this was kinda how destiny 2 was more. i understand having your clan and certain guys you run with consistently but finding new groups and running with them and it just meshing is such a great experience
My raid group has used guided games once ever, when we were 1 short and having no luck with multiple LFG sites. We paired with a dude in legit 5 mins and we continue to raid with him now whenever we need that extra person since he was pretty chill
Honestly this raid is a good introductory to other raids. I didnt raid much in destiny until d2 and this was my first one I completed. After this raid i went and did every other raid in d2 as they came out. Itll always hold a special place for me as being that stepping stone to what other raids are like
I love helping people through it for the first time. That’s the only reason I live this raid, is seeing people reactions when finishing such a small thing for most players but so big for new ones 😀
Found an lfg group who wanted to do prophecy the other day. Turns out we were all in very different time zones, I was british, one was west coast us and the other was australian. Despite the massive timezones difference, we still play together to this day.
I played D1 it’s whole life cycle and absolutely loved it, D2 I didn’t even make it to curse of Osiris when it first dropped and now I’m playing it again 3 years after release
I love your videos. I was a d1 beta vet with over 3k hours in d1. Played d2 at launch and hated it and left the game and have never returned. Your videos do a good job showing me what destiny has become, and giving context and it’s really cool
Dude the main group of friends I have on Xbox was from me meeting them all through EP lfg posts. I’m still talking to them 2 years later after we met, we are very good friends now
I actually love Eater of Worlds. It's a great introductory raid for new players. First encounter helps learning non-shooting teamwork. Second encounter to pay attention to the environment (but we could skip that lol), third encounter is a combination of both. And fourth is the culmination of everything. Most of you may say "well that's something you learn in any raid" and yeah but Eater of Worlds is training wheels raid for new players. I've been part of kings fall, last wish, SotP and GoS raids with new players and most are really difficult to coordinate and takes hours to complete. EoW was shorter and easier each and every time. I'm really sad it's getting vaulted because it's a great raid to get new players started on the whole Raid mechanics.
I know this video is old but I left here too, binging these videos gave me enough courage to try this game again and I'm so glad it's gotten so much better then when I left it. Here's hoping to Witch Queen keeping me hooked!
I left the game at the beginning of Curse. I came back a week before Foresaken. Beat Warmind and got mad light before Foresaken. Then Foresaken came around and rekindled my love
Another great video. I find myself on youtube looking at your videos to see if there's another video, even when I don't get a notification. Keep up the great content man
What did you think of Eater of Worlds? What About Curse of Osiris as a whole?

I think CoO was really important for Destiny 2, it lowered expectations, and when Warmind and Forsaken came out, they made bigger impacts.

evanf1997 raid will still hold a special place for me cause it was the first one I ever did but It’s underwhelming compared to all the others

Nervous as all hell i decided to hit up PC LFG for one last run before i conked out and prayed that it wouldn't go south
It honestly couldn't have gone better, as a group we barely spoke but were on point with our actions, it felt like we had exchanged hellos and goodbyes in a blink of an eye, and i had a big ass smile on my face once we reached the chest room because i knew that what i had just experienced was one hell of a good run.
I've had my fair share of good and bad experiences after that but i don't think any lfg run is gonna ever top that one for me.
(I didn't get my supremacy tho q_q)
(Edit: spelling)
So bad ass how some random cool guardians came together and got that raid done as a worlds first 💜 shows the potential of the social aspects destiny can have ,quiet Beautiful 🙌🙏
This feels weird watching these Day1 Raid vids. See, I actually only started playing Destiny 2 recently, but I had been watching my dad play Destiny since Destiny 1 came out. And so many of these Raids I’ve watched him play with his fire team. And I’ve only watched 1 raid race live, but now I get to see more about these raids and learn what made my Dad want to play them a ton.
Excellent video I loved this Raid Lair so many good memories 💯
Man Evan with the Hollow Knight Music again, always makes me go sink a couple hours into the game after each video.
CoO was the worst time in destiny.
Season of worthy: hold my beer.
Nothing could (and will not) beat the door!
Season of the worthy had nothing good but battlegrounds
@@MothFable you mean the lost sectors?
lfg has created so many memories since 2014, such fun times with people you just met and usually never talked to ever again
Ya it's all about the mindset
Yeah but those teams tend to be really boring
Yea My team always cuts up and we try to enjoy ourselves
Running Kings fall at the end when you do damage to Oryx... usually you leave a bubble in the middle and do damage going forward... a fellow guardian then popped a new bubble that no one realized was there and we all continued to fire... in the bubble.. still have the clip on my live... remember it was a long encounter... he left btw but no one was mad... he must of just been embarrassed
And here am i who has never done any of the raids, and i don't have any friends for it either
If you're on PC there are plenty of people on the LFG discord server who guide people through raids. I don't have any friends who play D2 either but I've done all the raids plenty of times by grouping up with random people. Just google "destiny 2 PC LFG discord".
Ahsoka Tano use lfg and look for people willing to teach, it’ll work trust me
@@komradekhabarovsk727 no i'm on PS4 and also i have a bit of social anxiety, i'll see
@@soulfire4381 There's also an LFG server called D2 Sanctuary designed for people with social anxiety, disabilities, and other things that might cause one to be reluctant to use a normal LFG. Google "D2Sanctuary discord".
Your story videos are epic! Please keep them coming! Thank you
“First ever raid lair.”
Croats End: am I a joke to you?
Crotas was a public event smh
strange green thing nah m8 it was a nightfall strike
I really loved the scale the raid prprovided, the bit where you're running past the massive pistols I really enjoyed
I played trials with MikeE before, he got pretty toxic after a while
Met my best friend on LFG for Crota in year 1 we’ve been friends since even upgraded to PC together

This just adds more to the "Eater is a bad raid" list
its a raid lair damnit!
@@wusb8 who pissed in your cereal this morning.
But its not bad though
Catalysts were introduced in Warmind. The Telesto catalysts was added to Prestige Eater when the Prestige mode came out (same with sleeper's in Spire).
Bungies fault for releasing a half baked raid, but still think it’s unfair to diminish the team’s accomplishment just cause they aren’t Redeem or some other content creator team.
The real issue here is normal guardians(people) can’t compete against the celebrities of this game.
Hell even the worlds first race is rigged against console .
to be fair, not as much Bungie's fault, but Activision's, as they rushed them to release dlc's
Kevin Buckman true, when he mentioned how it had nothing to do with story and how Argos seems like a encounter I figured.
It just sounds like a lot of salt from people who lost to a bunch of randoms. Diminishing someone's victory is egotistical and low as hell.
hey genuinely thank you so much for putting out such consistently good content on destiny always. Genuinely keeping me interested in the game and the lore despite it slightly fading in recent months. You, probably actually are responsible for me like, logging in and finishing up stuff I need to get before beyond light. Thank you.
my homie was on the eow worlds first team, its pretty cool
Lies
not really lol his name is MikeE
I know I’m a year late but I remember I LFG’d for a raid group on Hard Mode Kingfall and we one-&-done the entire raid in 45 mins. My best LFG experience!
Imagine thinking LFG stands for Looking for Guardians KEKW
Not to mention he still thinks CoO was the worst time, Worthy said hello.
I remember doing a lfg for the wotm raid in d1, we flawless every encounter everyone was very knowledgeable and no mistakes was made....
Best raid session I’ve ever had.
Argos, planetary, core.
This reminds me of cap from scour-
Bungie: shush child
Thanks for having us for the video. loving it!
This guy sounds like he's drunk. Great video.
I bet Evan won’t like this comment😏
My names evan
Just cleared my Divinity run last night from GoS. Team fully formed from LFG, we went fresh, took nearly 5 1/2 hours. Finished Sanctified Mind at 1:30 in the morning, but opening that chest and seeing Divinity pop up. Made friends that I'll never forget. 👌
This is the point in the game when I left for two years. Back now and loving it. Glad things got better.
Man I am always excited whenever you upload these kind of docu-videos, it just takes me down on memory lane😄
wish this was kinda how destiny 2 was more. i understand having your clan and certain guys you run with consistently but finding new groups and running with them and it just meshing is such a great experience
I remember doing this raid in about 2 hours 45 minutes after launch and we were so pumped to finally beat Argos.
Itll always hold a special place for me as being that stepping stone to what other raids are like
Back in D2 Y1 i remember lfging for my first raid ever. Still am great friends to this day with those guys.
this is when i took a break too, came back right before forsaken. one of a few breaks I took but I always seem to come back to destiny
I love helping people through it for the first time. That’s the only reason I live this raid, is seeing people reactions when finishing such a small thing for most players but so big for new ones 😀
This raid felt like a learning point for new player trying raid for the first time
we indeed made it, as its april 2022 now
Found an lfg group who wanted to do prophecy the other day.
Your Raid videos really feel like actual destiny national geographic documentaries! For sure the most cinematic and laborious ones!
I’m still talking to them 2 years later after we met, we are very good friends now
You make some REALLY high quality videos man, I'm gonna be watchin all of them.
Love your videos bro! Can't wait for the spire of stars one, It's one of my favorites raids
Oh my god I just realized that you've got hollow knight music over the background
When running this raid a few weeks ago this came up: "Shot from a gun, into this space. Sent of to kill, a vex mind"
The little LFG that could.
Also I’m glad you’re still using that chunky rainbow armor.
Last time I did Eater we used anti barrier rounds and after the damage phases we would just light the boss up when his shield was still up.
watching this a year later and at the beginning of the vid u are aiming for 150k, here you are with almost 250k that is so sick bro
One phasing Argos for speeds is one of the most satisfying kills.
Did not expect the hollow knight music but it was certainly a welcome suprise, keep pumping out your content man
I know this video is old but I left here too, binging these videos gave me enough courage to try this game again and I'm so glad it's gotten so much better then when I left it. Here's hoping to Witch Queen keeping me hooked!
I left the game at the beginning of Curse. I came back a week before Foresaken. Beat Warmind and got mad light before Foresaken. Then Foresaken came around and rekindled my love
I remember finally getting the black spindle after so long, and finally being able to be accepted into LFGs for Kings Fall. Good times
Another great video. I find myself on youtube looking at your videos to see if there's another video, even when I don't get a notification. Keep up the great content man
