QWERTY IS OFFICIALLY CANON!!!!
always has been
@@impactQuake I know but never in their official channel
Or maybe a cannon? :D
Been waiting for that one to drop
reading my eyes live has most brutal Chesters screams i ever heard
Live version (summer sonic 2006) is a lot more refined and much heavier, it really makes this version just sound like an unfinished demo. It's also a rare occasion where Mike contributes some harsher vocals in the chorus with Chester.
this song is only good in the live version, the studio version takes away all the energy, just a simple one in fact, but it worked very well when it was performed live, they gave it a high
0-12-13 is only defeatable by 5-7-8.
In DROP D tunning?
Or 000 followed by 100

0-3-5 🔛🔝
Or the legendary 8 5 0 3
The song Chester did with Mark Morton before his passing was the heaviest I've heard him do.
If you don't know, the song is called : "Cross off "
Nik actually did a guitar cover of that song when it came out. I thought he did a reaction as well but I might be mistaking him for metalbirb instead lol.
but that isn't a linkin park song xd
@@DrayNoR1 so what?🤓
@buhlokay6043 so the video is called heaviest linkin Park song dummy not heaviest Chester Bennington song.
@preston2636 no way! I had no idea!

Technically, godsmack.
This is "mid-2000s-WWE-core"
brought to you by stacker 2, WWE Fully Loaded lol
Oh so this is Headstrong
American Head Charge had a song that was "mid-2000s-WWE-core" (I guess), and it totally fucked!
Coward.
Stand up
6:38 - 7:08
Funny you mention that about the chorus. When they would play the song live, the drums would be played half time during the chorus, and it works so much better than the more upbeat drums on the studio demo version that we got.
Funny that he says that everyone was recommending to check out LIVE version, which is sounds better, imho. Apart from chorus there is that fast paced lyrics part that comes twice instead of once, which is also sounds better, I think.
this is why I prefer the Summer Sonic version because the drums sounds better on the chorus.
Yeah it makes me wish that they re-recorded the instrumental to fit the live version better. They put all this promo into this Papercuts project so it would have made sense to put in the effort of re-recording the one song that only has an unfinished demo recording
I was just thinking the chorus sounds like a pre-chorus leading into a half-time melodic actual chorus.
They didn't play this song live
Chester was so fucking amazing and ahead of his time. I miss him so much.
His mid high screams are unparalleled and he sounded even better live. Linkin park has got me through some of my toughest times and chester will forever be missed.

@@DanParryPhotography Well what symbol is it?
If you're gonna hate at me for being wrong, at least give me something helpful
Whenever a band drops a song I’m honestly thinking yeah Nik will definitely react to this and it makes me crazy excited
literally!!!!!
I always thought No More Sorrow from M2M was one of their heaviest songs. The death metal chugs in the bridge went fucking hard.
Minutes to midnight is their best album imo
Given up is also pretty heavy :)
rebellion also goes hard
@@Fluorite-Fox given up was my metalcore awakening
@@dclikemtndew how? not even close to a metalcore song. not saying its a bad song at all, but it ain't metalcore.
Limp Bizkit "Leech" was 0 - 12 - 13 from their "Three Dollar Bill Ya'll" Album circa 1997
Underrated Limp Bizkit song too
Love your comment, LB did 14 - 13 - 0 though ;)
‘A Line In The Sand’ from The Hunting Party is their heaviest, in my opinion.
That album is brilliant. Many songs are reprisals of one another. If you listen to ‘Guilty All The Same’ into ‘A Line In The Sand,’ that is probably LP’s peak heaviness and technical musicianship, but since it’s a reprisal, it is also peak art. The shared riff tells a story.
Awesome album.
I recommend listening to The Hunting Party album for Linkin Park's heaviest material
Awesome album.
Given up is their heaviest song
I love your ear for the guitar notes. That's bad ass
Yeah Nik is on another planet for that stuff
He’s like the metal version of Charlie puth
@@zach.096 hell yeah
He doesn't even know notes names
@zaxZk well fret numbers or chords.
Did we forget One Step Closer? Mike and Chester were so angry singing/screaming those lyrics!!
Figure .09 is the hardest!
All live in Texas versions are so much heavier. Such a good set.
Hit the floor is my favorite. Chester's screams were excellent
Most of the Hunting Party is also more heavier instrumentally.
@@aaryan4323Hybrid Theory was peak nu metal Linkin Park, Hunting Party felt like hardcore punk/ hard rock effort
I got the LP Underground CD this is on way back in the day (its Underground 6 I believe) and I love that now this song is finally getting well known because it's amazing I'd listen to it non stop as a kid, now we just need them to release Across The Line and Blackbirds on a Singles album or something like this because those songs are some of my favorites that aren't as known, because Underground 9 is one I listen to an insane amount
If I'm not mistaken they already released Across the Line on a MtM Deluxe edition. And agree on Blackbirds, such a beautiful song
Across the line is on Spotify
Across the line is on the MtM deluxe version and Blackbirds is on the TS deluxe version so they are out there. Definitely some of favs for sure
"With you" still tells this song to hold its beer.
“With you” just fucks
With You had no business going so hard for it's time.
Even the reanimation version was good
Song sounds like it could be off Hunting Party but written YEARS before
I'm flabbergasted Nic hasn't heard this. This came out in like 2007. I remember hearing it in their "Making of Minutes to Midnight" DVD/video. It was my favorite track of theirs for a while.
I remember accidentally finding this when searching for that one mushroom head song
Ey, don't Diss mushroom head and their one song that they repeated a few times. 😂
Turns out this damn song is older than the mushroomhead one lol
It makes me happy you recently discovered this song! That 0-12-13 riff is absolutely killer and the triplet fill is absolutely amazing. This was always one of my sleeper favorites back in the day from them.
Their heaviest is Keys To The Kingdom from The Hunting Party
Imo war was harder
@@Coldkroll War was a bit too all over the place for me
Finally yes
Real ones didn’t even know this album existed 💀
@@Mukduck619 yeah, I overlooked it too, and discovered it just a year ago lol
Nik - "bands weren't doing 0-12-13 back then"
My Own Summer - "Am I just a joke to you?"
when we talk abput the hardest Linkin Park song, we should mention War.
or victimized
5:53 Not in Need For Speed but maybe in Burnout for sure.
NFS Underground 1 had music like this
It's definitely a song that fits the blackbox era of NFS (1998-2013) aka the best years
Nah NFS had loads of metal and punk songs in their OST's up until like 2010, so this would fit right in...
Underground 2 and Most Wanted were my introduction to bands like: Killing Joke, Ministry, Mudvayne, Helmet, Skindred, Bullet For My Valentine, Static-X, A7X, Mastodon & Disturbed to name a few...
Burnout Revenge had a sick ass soundtrack.
how about GTA 6 Vice Rock Radio? this song should have been fit.
The heaviest I've heard from LP is War from The Hunting Party. It's practically hardcore punk with the level of intensity it has, and I'm pretty sure there's a brief blast at the end
This song is dope AF.
A couple of others (Don't Stay, No More Sorrow) I think could be in the conversation for "heaviest" songs.
Those two have legit little breakdown sections, which I think helps them stand out a little more.
But this is definitely fun! 🤘
LP really are one of the best to do what they did.
Absolutely love Don't Stay. It's my favourite LP song
Given Up??
@@craigsovilla6578 Given Up is a fantastic track, one of my favorites, but it's got a way more upbeat sound, IMO, than some of the others. That breakdown/scream is among their best moments ever though!
With You
@@brooklynboytransitfanner8812 ahh another classic. That low B riff is gnarly for sure!
This makes sense that’s it’s their heaviest and I remember hearing the live version. There are definitely a lot of metalcore and hard rock acts now that have some variation on that middle riff too
Actually, there was another song called: Stick N' Move that has an interesting breakdown but its part of the "B side rarities from Hybrid Theory."
Well if we're talking electronic stuff I think the Place for my head remix from reanimation is way heavier
Linkin park still caring about their fandom is so wholesome, they really didn’t need to release anything but they still did ❤ (even if it took them 20yrs😂)
Thank Mike, I think he's basically doing it all.
Tbh, I'm not really sure about this. For me it feels like they just create a new LP hype to sell their anniversary stuff with all of these unreleased songs.. I really love this band but it feels so weird..
I still cry from time to time knowing cheaters no longer with his. I didn't kno him personally or the band but in a weird way I felt like I did, never cried for a celebrity before but that one hit me hard, helped me thru a lot in my life, and I just can't get over it's never guna be the same ya know.. great I'm back in tears agn.. they helped so many of us out with their music, but no one could help chester, like wtf! What kinda fucked up shit is that. 😢
All of their songs are heavy, just the lyrics alone are hard and heavy.. rip chester❤😢
As someone who credited Linkin Park as part of their evolution as a human, I feel you. When the news dropped, all of my friends hit each other up at the same time. Chester was larger than life - we all felt like he related to us. You don't replace someone like that.
1:39 Lamb of God has entered the chat.
Ok so it wasn’t just me.
Keys to the kingdom - Linkin Park
0-12-13 was in 2002 with "i stand alone" from godsmack, and metallica with frantic and many others
i was finally able to listen to the original recording of this song thanks to you Nik
The song is almost something. Those screams from Chester definitely feel next level. So incredibly sad that we'll never get the real thing.
I rememeber downloading this song through Limewire, when Minutes to Midnight was released thinking this song was part of the album. And now after alomst 17 years, now i know the actual name of the songs
Chorus is fire in the live version. F’g incredible.
Every Street Soldier knows the real, and the heaviest QWERTY is the Summer Sonic Live verison👁👅👁
I remember hearing this song for the first time back in the late 2000s or early 2010s... I'm so happy they finally released it 🔥
Yes, the full song from their opening LPTV series from Meteora tour to M2M.
Hey Nik! I LOVE THAT YOU FINALLY GOT TO REACT TO THIS! I realize that it just was released from the vault. Miss your face...& the crab stance. Have an awesome day! Keep doin you, boo!
Nice to see this widely available now!
I was addicted to the live in japan version of this song for years!
Man I remember the 8-bit version of this song being such a banger in their game 8-Bit Revolution
It took way too long for this to be on Spotify, it’s my favourite song by them I’m however glad that it’s on there
I opened Spotify and saw this on the front. Then went to the All New Metal playlist and it was there as well. Now I see Nik reacting to it here.
Been one of my favorite songs by them for years. Glad to see it finally get an official release.
The live version hits a lot harder
These are the type songs in Video Games that got me into Metal
Bro, please, check out the live version of this song. The chorus in that version is insane
the winamp visualizer vibes do be popping
I remember having this on my mp3-player back in highschool. Like 2005-2006. Now imagine my disappointment when the album that followed this was Minutes to Midnight ^^
Also for me, this is not the first time hearing this, as an old time fan I remember having this song in mp3
MTM was great. I get people wanted Meteora but Minutes slaps hard.
This was me as well. Never gave it much of a chance. What i've Done was good, No More Sorrow was solid, and Given Up took some growing before I liked it, but those are the only ones that made it into my rotation. Not much else off it ever held my interest, but it was exactly this that drove me towards heavier music.
@@thedancingguy828 It slaps soft
This song just came out, don't lie
Tava com sdds disso... Muita sdds msm.
nik vacilou em ter reagido a versão estúdio, e ainda foi burro em dizer que o tipo de nota da intro foi algo a frente do seu tempo sendo que várias bandas já fizeram isso na época kkkk
@@nefarie__ Noss akakakaz
I still think either Given Up or By Myself are heavier, but this one is good too
Yeah, I was going to say 'Given Up' especially when you combine it with the lyrically content
Maan, the live version, the transition of Chester's voice from screaming to clean vocals. RIP Legend! 🤘
I was waiting for this to go public for literal years after hearing it on one of the old LPU albums
People forget about A Line in the Sand 😩😩😩 and Keys to the Kingdom!!! we got some of the heaviest LP songs on The Hunting Party!!!
0-12-13 was used in loads of songs back then. Godsmack - I Stand Alone and Drowning Pool - Tearing Away for example.
Holy hell, I have definitely listened to this song before (like, years ago), and didn't know what it was called, so I couldn't find it again. And now it's finally oficially out. What a banger
As an aside, the song you did for Octane is amazeballs! Keep being you, man!
This is an absolute banger but it's definitely not their heaviest song. With You and Lying From You take the cake for heaviest imo.
The studio version drums combined with the chorus vocals gives me real offspring vibes
i know he did that one song with that one guitarist (i knoiw, so vague, but i cant remember who it was and dont feel like doing it right now), but i would have loved to see him do a full out metalcore song. His voice was insane
Your channel is a hidden gem, glad I stumbled upon it!
I wouldn’t classify a channel with over 1 million subs a hidden gem
It's a bot man
When it came out at the time I was so excited!! It's such a good song
I have always loved this song
Ironically, they have a song called "Heavy"
To make that chorus sound bigger, slow it down to either 3/4 or half time for the drums and riff. Makes it sound way more beefy and Meteora sounding; think Lying Away from You style and pacing.
I must have downloaded this from limewire or something back in the day cause I definitely remember listening to this at some point.
There were a number of bands doing 0-12-13 in the 00s. Muse's Stockholm Syndrome's main riff, Lostprophet's (back before we knew Watkins was evil) Start Something (song, not album) had a very similar riff released about the same time.
Still so fun to hear Linkin Park on that 0-12-13 and 8-7-10 vibe like they were listening to some other metalcore.
Edit: Also early The Sword (first two albums) had a lot of 0-12-14 or 0-14-15. Not quite the 0-12-13 we know and love today, but I feel like it definitely influenced it.
Ive known about QWERTY for a while... absolutely spectacular. Blown away by the live version
That amped call out tho
The summer sonic live chorus is peak
If u want most epic live version - I'd advise to check LP Rock am Ring 2004 performance. QWERTY is insane there as well as other stuff ofc.
Still have this CD. LPU 6
Listen to the live version of this. There the chorus is a breakdown.
Nick you know more about this stuff than I do but, what about 46 & 2? Doing 0-12-13 in 90s. Another thing 0-12-13 was first thing I figured out on guitar after learning the eminor power chord.
There are way more heavy LP songs but not very well known
I have loved Linkin Park from beginning to their tragic end. This is my first time hearing this song. I'll do a search, I'm sure to find it. Thank you for introducing this song to me, I found it. R.I.P. Chester Bennington
Heaviest along with Given up and by myself and keys to the kingdom🤘🤘
THIS is LPU Underground Demo ))) same sound )))
The bassist came up with the rift
Band suggestion, Black orchid empire. Small band but are INSANELY talented
Qwerty just made me think of Mushroomhead
Fun fact, Phoenix wrote the 0-12-13 riff of the verse, maybe the intro riff too
Glad to see this song get the props it deserves
I remember getting that lpu album when I was like 14!!!! Crazy !!!!
I think its either No more sorrow or Given up was their heaviest.
How have I never heard this?
I believe they only played live.
was an underground album that was never officially released, look at the 2012 live version in tokyo it's better in pretty much all aspects but I'm glad we finally have it on spotify at least.
(btw they wrote this song within 12 hours on a plane flight)
Mike said in an interview that he and Chester wrote it on a plane to Tokyo and only performed it once. It just got released last week with their greatest hits album.
Funnily enough, the chorus is way more put together in the live version. I was hoping when they announced it would get an official release that they would rework the instruments or at least remaster it to make it flow more like the live version... but they didn't touch it and you're right, it does sound demo-ey
metalcore vibe
Finally
This song is getting some good recognition
QWERTY and Cross Off go insane
I agree this belongs in MX Vs ATV
Nik needs to do a reimagined core version!
The way you sang the main riff reminded me of lying from you.
I remember downloading this on blubster ( the live version) man those were the days hahaha
