I don't think St Anger really needs fixing, I enjoy it. This is just for fun :)
Thanks to Harley Benton for sponsoring the video, check out the guitar here: bit.ly/3Ua2xtG

I agree, St. Anger is a great album in it's own way and has a lot of awesome songs, Frantic being maybe my favorite (either that or My World), but you did an awesome reimagining of it that's just as great! Love that you got Otu to do vocals, he does such an awesome young Hetfield style.

Late to the party, praise be to the algorithm though for sharing this video. Massive improvement on the original! Now - as others have commented - can you repair the rest of the album? After that maybe you can distil Load and Reload into a single album of genuine bangers taking the best bits and cramming then into 10 or so five-minute classics.

Your version was far better and that solo couldn't have been any better. Quite honestly I felt as though I was definitely listening to classic Metallica versus this newly transformed version. I get an understand that it seems like things need to transform in some way but quite honestly the way Metallica has held their ground for so long I never thought I'd hear them transform their sound in such a drastic way. They would be proud to hear your version I am sure of it.

*As a musician of 13 instruments, a singer and music composer, as well as a producer of over 40 years, I can say, NOTHING sounds like St. Anger. It is like hearing someone play a semi-tonal guitar. You just want to smash it to bits.*

PS - id love to see how better than "St. Anger" your compositions/production/whatever sold

I see this comment “songs are too long” not a single song even gets to the 9 minute mark. Plenty of metal bands play 10+minute songs without a second thought

That solo gave me chills, bro!! Wow. I had to listen to it twice. Would LOVE to know what Kirk would think of it. And you put it in so smoothly. Perfect placement, perfect execution.
The main riff itself would probably be better if it was a bit heavier.
