Alex's screams are super underrated too. She killed it
at the same time it's normal before joining Make Them Suffer Alex was formerly the singer of the band "Drown This City" it's something I discovered at the end of the year last year and I think it's really worth it worth checking out because this band is absolutely killer and Alex has an absolutely beautiful and phenomenal voice at the same time 🤘🔥
She’s such a great addition to the band for sure
Women shouldnt scream in music....They do it enough already in real life
@@firstdown1565spare us your juvenile wit, lil bro
@@firstdown1565 just because everyone CAN have an opinion, doesn't mean everyone should (you for one)
Respectfully f off
Make Them Suffer never released a bad song imo, easily one of my favourite bands.
For suuure
Yeah i'm the kind of guy who finds his one band and plays songs forever for 2 years straight. And last years is all about make them suffer for me.
@@PnNKthey really have a heavy yet emotional feel to their music, it’s amazing
This song is sick but AVRALIZE is the best metalcore of 2024 with their songs LOTUS and CANVAS
this one isn't super good
Ep-ih-taf : A monument of remembrance, like a gravestone, a vigil, or a tomb.
Now I can only laugh as I read our Epitaph we end our life as moles in the dusk of dawn patrol

Epitaph by @ItsDrewsif is fire
Close but no cigar. An epitaph is the collection of words what is written on your tombstone in remembrance.
Epitaph is a record label. I was expecting some kind of joke there but haven't seen one 😢
Honestly, what is that way of typing out what something is supposed to sound like? It seems really dumb, but I see people use it very often.
4:55 angry bird sound
Man I was expecting part of the song 😂😂😂
I laugh out loud lmao
Sounded more like Marge Simpson 😅😂🤣
Man somethings should never change
the surprised Nik face
the love of break downs
and Make them suffer playing loud music with lots of lights in some random parking garage.
@@EnvisionedBlindness as the guy who designed the lights for this, I can tell you it's not. Neither is it a parking garage as much as it looks like one.
Seeing them again in 1 week. With BMTH and Sleep Token
What a line up.
Saw them last night in Sydney and this song was amazing, You wont be disapointed.
WHERE ARE YOU SEEING ALL OF THEM??
@@ave3676 Australia
was at the sunday Sydney show!!! What a tour 👏👏👏
Went to Adelaide. Fucking mental show. Sick line up.
Make Them Suffer on tour with ERRA next month is going to be such a sick show.
i'm going and i cannot WAIT
Aren’t Void of Vision and Novelists in the line up, too
@@kenn0th3 yep
And erra just dropped a new album too, I need to go
100% MTS opens with this
The Make Them Suffer singles have been straight bangers, ima be waiting for new album from them
The chants are the most motivating thing I’ve heard in a while, gym goes crazy with that part.
I like how the chorus comes out of nowhere. I dont want the exact same formula every time
It comes in too soon, and is used too often
@KosmicNomad I feel like they want radio time with this one. The choruses make that a possibility on some stations I think. Just a thought
@@KosmicNomad yea i agree its good but too often. I want more brutal before the clean
Yeah, like sometimes there's short silence before the first chorus or there's short silence and breakdown!...then chorus.
Absolutely love learning about bands through your channel. Being able to get more n more into metal and learn of these bands that have been making music for ages is like opening a treasure chest of new music to absorb. Thank you Nik!!
Nik you got me on Make Them Suffer with one of your try not to headbang video's ane since then I went through their whole discography and just fell in love. From Neverbloom to How To Survive a Funeral and all the singles they quickly become one of my favorite bands. I can't help but love everything they releas, but nothing hits like Old Souls or Worlds Apart for me. Those 2 albums will always be my go to, so it was nice to hear elements of those albums in this new single. Really excited to see what else they have in store this year!
This slapped live last night. They were supporting sleep token and BMTH
Will admit, sleep token musically were great but the complete lack of any interaction with the crowd sort of muted the experience. They need to lean into the mythology of the band or something to make it more engaging. Then you get a masterclass of lead singer, interaction with oli sykes
So excited to see them tomorrow, gonna go so hard
@@webster439thought the same thing!
was at the same concert! so sad that there weren’t more people in the crowd for them
@@webster439 I saw them on Sunday and I agree, although they are musically impeccable on stage they just lack this interaction with the public. If I am being completely honest, I zoned out during one of the song at the end. They are still amazing though, but they just need that little something to keep you a bit more captivated. But yeah, Oli's stage presence is just second to none!
Actually same, been a fan of them since randomly seeing them live in like 2014 or something opening with Neverbloom, my mind was blown.
And this definitely pays homage to the older vibes I think
If Brand of Sacrifice and Evanescence had a baby ....
Dude not even close. She sounds nothing like Amy Lee. Not even an ounce of evanescence vibes here.
@@MetalMoshin I didn't say she did. She doesn't have to.
Because they have a female vocalist they sound like Evanescence? Nothing sounds like Evanescence here 😅
I mean early Make Them Suffer were Evanescencecore before Evanescencecore happened
Metalcore is best core
But Hardcore exists
The Acacia Strain is the best core. Deathcore + Doom
Symphonic Deathcore is the best core.
All the other stuff are not my thing.
No doubt. Greatest genre of all-time
It was fun watching you make this video as I’d seen them the night before play the song live and was still awake from adrenaline!!
They were fucking awesome!!
Saw this live on Wednesday, was absolutely phenomenal! Seen make them suffer 12 times now over the years, going to a gig feels like going home at this point!
killer track. next pls. check out The Oklahoma Kid - Overpowered
i bet this isnt even along your typical vein, but I heard you mention admiring the synthy/symphonic sound followed by low screams and typical metalcore, and I immediately thought of the newest Starset song that just released. Usually I wouldnt mention Starset here as they've usually only got half a foot in the door of metal genres but their newest song went all in.
Dude, every second reaction video of yours makes me discover a new gem in metal.
Aussie man, seeing an Aussie band live.
They are KILLER.
Deff a great performing act too.
Simply the best modern metalcore band right now.

@@bradyung798uhm, no. Those times are over. Sadly.

Saw it live in Adelaide a couple of nights ago and it was INSANE live. They supported BMTH and Sleep Token, yeh it was epic, and Oli gave MTS a huge shoutout stating "That band will be fuckin' massive". I'm so glad they are really picking up some fans after a decade of the grind!
Why have I never listened to this band before??? I'm already a fan!
Oh oh oh, a journey is starting now for you my friend.
Short but sweet, yet this is one of the best songs I've heard in a while. I love MTS, they're up there with Northlane when it comes to making some cool metalcore music. This band never released a bad song ever since Worlds Apart (2017). And yes, they are bringing that trance-core back! And I'm here for it. Giving me the Stand Up And Scream Vibes all over again. Alerion
Boundaries got Metalcore on lock in 2024
Mouth for War and Thrown
Make Them Suffer are well on their way to taking over from Parkway Drive as the number one Australian metal band
Make Them Suffer has been RIPPING ASS the last year or two and I'm here for it!
Damn. I need to start listening to this band now. This slapped so hard
I just saw them on Sunday with BMTH and this song is an absolute banger live!! And agree with all the comments saying Alex is killing it, she is an absolute beast and her presence on stage is incredible.
They've been on my list but I've never listened to them before, but I loved this maybe it's about time I listen to more of them, Symphonic Metal is my favorite Subgenre so you put strings in and I'll probably love it 😆
Listen to the Neverbloom album. It's has more symphonies. They were Blackened Symphonic Metalcore back then
I was bobbing my head to this on my lunch break and food just fell out of my mouth when the breakdown hit
I gotta stop eating when I watch these videos
saw them before Stray from the path last year first time hearing them and they were tight af
That Line Up was hot af
One personal criticism of mine about this song I will say was the initial chorus drop in your face and then it repeating itself to the point it was a little repetitive (like Nik said they could have maybe added something in between those spaces and do some a little different or unique). Other than that it’s a solid banger to me👍🏾
Chorus is super earwormy. Love it.
The female vocalist coming in like that reminds me of Skillet. I really wish Skillet let Jen Ledger sing more like they do here. She's one of my favourite female vocalist and I loved her solo album
Neverbloom has some issues for sure but MAN do I still love that album.
Not hating but what issues?
Absolutely zero issues. Fck you on about
You nailed on previous reactions to this song, MTS has them Jagged hooks into the chorus. This one for sure is no change in that either.
Saw these guys last night in Sydney as one of bmth's back up bands and holy moly they killed it. Up the Aussies 💪
I kinda like the way the first chorus plays out, gave me goosebumps the first time it came on
This is marching straight foward to become my favorite album of them
I saw them live at BMTH Sydney April 14.
I only came for BMTH and SleepToken. But man! The moment they came out the stage, it's all chaos! What an energy at live! Now it's all Make Them Suffer spamming everyday.
Alex coming in as a top notch 2nd vocalist, like an unwanted pregnancy she killed it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The chorus is actually what hypes me up the most about this song, makes me want to sing, cry, mosh and throw down all in the same time. It builds it more then the shuggs and circus riff in this one imo
for people who don't know yet Alex was once a singer in a group called "Drown This City" before joining Make Them Suffer and honestly I advise you to go and see because it's really worth it I recommend you songs like New Burn Order, Gemini, Borderline Existence, Carbon 14, Stay Broken, In Your Image, Void, We Are Not Dead and more if you need but their whole album is fantastic 👍🤘
these guys took top spot in my last wrapped for a reason. old records bang hard, new stuff, too
Love the make them suffer reaction. Eidola's new album "Eviscerate " is my favorite metalcore/post-hardcore release of the year. Would live to see a reaction to that as well.
Can't wait for the full album
Can't wait to see this live tonight in Sydney
Make them suffer are always killing it!
Also when you reacting to Qwerty by LP, Nik???? 👀👀
I NEEDED THIS
Yes
Seeing MTS tonight at BMTH Sydney and I can’t wait !!!
“Fun metal things” is why I subscribed
I had to check the date after seeing this video. Thought I took a nap and woke up to December.
sooo excited to see this live on their tour with erra
I get to see them this Saturday with bring me and sleep token and fuck im so keen man
Oh man I saw this live when they preformed with sleep token and BMTH in Melbourne. Was fucking epic
I have never really listened to them but this is amazing!
Nick basicamente virou o cara que me recomenda músicas para escutar na academia. Valeu, Nick
Not sure uf you know them already, as they have been around quite a while, but i think Cypecore would be worth a listen. They have some new stuff which is is imho a bit softer but still dope!
Love your videos!
YES! I am really love a vocal chorus. And I am really tired for extreme vocal chorus.
The new August burns red with will Ramos is amazing
What happened to your ERRA coverage on here? I feel like we haven't gotten any ERRA reaction since last album(?). Would love to hear your thoughts on CURE!
They played this opening for Sleep Token and BMTH last week in Australia. I liked it much better live too.
i cant wait to see them next month
Clearly I've had my head in the sand for a long time because I've never heard this band before. Excuse me while I go listen to all their music now. God damn.
I'm seriously so happy to be an Aussie when Polaris, Alpha Wolf, Northlane, Make Them Suffer, all of our bands are popping off and making some of the best stuff. Alex's chorus sent me, I was hooked with the heavy, and the chorus blew me away. LET'S F'ING GO!!!
I’m so excited to see them for the first time next month
I definitely get what you are talking about with the chorus clean vocals. What might have been more appealing is she goes with the clean vocals and then the guy (not gonna lie first time hearing this band) follows with the growls as she sings. Good song altogether but I think we could have helped them out lol.
As a 26 year old, I can’t wait for this album to drop on my 38th birthday
I like your optimism
MTS just keeps bringing the bangers. 🔥 🔥
The three singles they’ve released are some of the best modern metalcore tracks out there
Can't wait to see them in Montreal in May (with ERRA, Novelists and another band I keep forgetting about)
That's a banger right there.
Void of Vision! They are awesome, hope you enjoy the show
I’m seeing the same tour in Chicago! It’s gonna be sick!
@@warbreaker88 hell yeah!
@@MiskyWisky I sure hope so too!
Very nice, exciting.
Make them suffer should be massive by now, everyone I no ain't ever heard of them which in a way I'm glad.they awesome
love u nick
The whole creepy attic thing reminds me of Chelsea Grin a little bit with songs like Across the Earth and Lilith
I’m seeing them in St Pete with Erra and I cannot fkn WAITTTT
HELLS YEAH 🔥🔥🔥
F# is my favorite note
Most of my commute playlist has gotten added downstream of something I saw on this channel. I can't believe I'm only discovering metalcore exists at 40.
That is crazy bro where you been. Early crown the empire is good
I love how purely FERAL, PISSED, SNARLING, Alex's screams are.
I rolled my eyes back
I agree with Nik lol I wanted more heaviness, but I'm still happy with what they released; the chorus is super catchy
I was the tiniest bit let down with the fact that this song doesn't have a crazy breakdown or something in the middle (like you mentioned) but honestly, we all know that MTS can absolutely BRING IT when they want to and I don't actually think every single one of their songs needs that. It would end up being way too formulaic. Songs like this still go HARD and it's good that they have some variety
“Pluck violin Picass-“
Brilliant 😂👊
So fucking keen to see them on Saturday in Brissy
don't remember where you recommended Sleep Theory, but it is totally sick!
Make them suffer is just so awesome, you should check out a band called "If I were you"
so what i'm hearing is...there's gonna be a Nocturnal remix with a crazy damn breakdown maybe tripped out to the chorus after
"Speech increased to 21" LMAO
Imminence has a new album out too FYI!
I like this old band "perfect like me" with 930 monthly listeners on spotify. If you don't know them, they are great 👍
I was so stoked to see MTS at Blue Ridge before it imploded like building 7
1:10 BRO I was playing SKYRIM at this moment YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME
Only complaint is I want more Alex screams… Drown This City was one of my favorite bands before they disbanded, so I’m a big fan of Alex and just want more from her haha. But that being said, the song is still awesome
yesterday I was in the local music store, and they played this song I was screaming :D
