Just gotta say that I’m loving Erica - great down to earth personality, fresh young perspective and professional demeanor. Really appreciate her skills and think she’s an asset to an already amazing team. ❤
You said it perfectly, Amy. I concur! We will be on our first Disney cruise this Sept on the Wish. I already know I will need tissues, esp after hearing the horn!
Disney is excellent with food allergies! Had the same experience with my daughter's allergies and they asked what she wanted, prepared off-site and brought it to our table at cabana's! My (teenage) daughter didn't appreciate the "attention", but I loved that they took time to make sure she didn't get a reaction! Even though, I always carry her epi-pen.
Yes I Agree, they are very good when it comes to food allergies. For dinner I had to order the night before so, I will be able to get my food the same time as the rest of the family. Then in cabana's or the buffet place I would tell the what I wanted and they will bring it to my table once they know it is free from my allergy. Mine was hard since they has a lot of Paprika in their food like all places.
Erica is a great addition to the show. She’s fun but also really chill. I can’t get over every time she mentions being married though ‘cause she looks so young haha
One of my children has two food allergies. I'd love a video focused on what the cruise lines do for food allergies and what you need to know, like who you tell and if there are any forms you fill out ahead of time.
I really love this. I’ve never been on a Disney Cruise before and your excitement of doing this for the first time really excites me. This show is great btw I really appreciate all the takes.
My husband and I went on a Bahamas cruise without our adult children and had a great time. There are excellent adult only activities. I also take my adult kids on Disney cruises as well. Our next cruise is Alaska in a few months.
Erica I recently watched the Sail Away show for the Wish (I'm researching for 2024 Disney Cruise) and like you it got me super emotional! I'm a huge Disney fan and seeing all the Characters perform just made me cry. Can't wait for 2024!
I had an experience with a survey with a car dealer. The salesman always pushes for a perfect score, says he'll help fill it out. We had a less than great experience with finance and vehicle prep. I was honest on the survey, but gave anything related to the salesman a perfect score. The day after, my wife was there and the salesman was so upset and said he never got such a poor survey and didn't want to sell us a car ever again. Last time I filled out a survey. Corporate sucks.
Ok Erica is such a great addition to this team! It hurts to lose Deni but Erica’s addition makes it a bit more palatable. I’ve been on many Disney Cruises and loved to hear her first experience going aboard. It’s experiencing it all over again for the first time though someone else’s eyes.
Only time the Dr on board is free is if you get the Norovirus. It sucks but I have to say, Disney treats you well. You are confined to your cabin for 24 hrs but they definitely cater to you. For me it meant I missed a shore excursion which they refunded, They had someone bring me down crackers and soda. I could have gotten something else if I wanted it. I was ready to eat at dinner time but couldn’t go to the dining room so they had me order off the menu and my serving staff brought it to my room. Best advice, clean your hands often. Of course in the age of Covid many people do but but it still bears repeating
My husband and I just did our first Disney Cruise to Alaska on the Wonder. We loved it! We don't have kids, are in our early 50s, are Disney fans and I know I can't wait to do a Disney Cruise again. Think he is on board for one in the future as well. Such a great Disney experience!
I laughed when I heard you mention the cast-member Boston. I remember him running lots of trivia and games on a previous Disney cruise. We had a lot of fun hanging out with him. He really is excellent.
Very happy to hear about the allergy issue. I have a shellfish allergy and I carry an Epi pen but if I have to use my Epi pen I need immediate medical attention….ain’t nobody got time for that on a cruise :). I will say Disney has ALWAYS been good about my food allergy!
hearing about how good the cast members are about dietary needs makes me so happy! At some point in the future when I can afford it I would love to take my family on a cruise and I know every night at dinner you get a desert but my dad is diabetic and needs something that is sugar free and light on carbs and I don't want him to feel left out.
He wouldn't be at all. They have desserts for every health concern. He'll be able to enjoy the food like everyone else! From a long time Disney cruiser. Enjoy!
We agree with the Erica's view on "kids" our children are grown and we love Disney Cruise Line 😎 We ended up walking to adult "serenity bay" I would suggest tram...... 😂
So cool. I’m so excited that our covid crap makeup cruise is almost here. We booked for our very first Disney Cruise Ever, -Alaska. Based on the show and Dreams I just decided we had all this unused credit, let’s just do what we really want. September 12 we go and Elaine booked us (Thank You!)
I went on my first cruise last month. Unfortunately, we couldn't swing a Disney cruise...so we went on Oasis of the Seas/ royal Caribbean. It was amazing and i thought the service was phenomenal..and they also only asked occasionally if you wanted a drink lol. That would be obnoxious....Disney definitely needs to fix that!
I always tell people to bring some sort of seasickness meds just in case, because you just don't know how your body is going to react out on the ocean. Take the meds as a precaution and if you don't need them then you nix them from that point on.
I agree so much as far as the drinks. You know pool bar service is expected to pester the fire out of guests and servers are expected to pressure you about the survey (even though the survey asks if they did and you feel like you better say they didn't) because if not management would put a stop to it. It is a shame bc I agree that interferes with the Disney feeling. (Btw I'm not that Joy. My agent is Merri and she is amazing too, lol)
I have a moderate-severe hearing loss, I only hear a bit (residual hearing). I'm also fluent in ASL. When I get excessively pestered by staff about drinks, etc... I just shake my head, and sign in ASL "No thank you. I am Deaf". So far, it's worked well... if anyone wants to "borrow" a bit of ASL 😉
Erica, do you have a dairly intolerance or like a true allergy that causes anaphylaxis? We were sooo worried about sea sickness too and also ended up midship on deck 7 (our ship had 18 decks). You are right, it aas perfect! That rocking motion at night was sooo wonderful haha
Interesting. Never had that experience with the aggressive drink offers at the adult pool on the Wonder. I do get annoyed by the food servers pushing us to try everything. We tell them up front that they are getting all 5s so if we say no we mean no. I also tell them I’m diabetic (true) and I’ll be seriously ill if I overeat (vastly overstated).
I would love to go on a Disney cruise, but I went on a royal Caribbean one and I can't imagine the service being much better...it was phenomenal. I'm unsure what you mean by zooted 24/7?
Erica, I cried at all of the shows, too! It’s not just you! Great show. Not sure who checks these comments, but is there someone we can email about switching to a different Dreams agent?
People need to realize how similar we all are. Hopefully it doesnt hurt their feelings. Like they are not special. Everyone is introverted, at times. Everyone likes fresh air. This is not a shot at her
12:29 My husband hated those guys. He ended up spending most of our time on our 2019 cruise in our stateroom because he was tired of people trying to sell him drink packages everywhere he went.

In was thankful that I kept my luggage with me the whole time because my daughters and her boyfriends luggage took way past 3pm to get to the room (it was PAST 4pm, as I was in the room to get it). There's more but that's just a sample. Definitely NOT worth the money ( as it was 5 TIMES the price for the very SAME itinerary as RCL) that they charge. But at least I KNOW now how bad it really is and not just the hype from blind Disneyophiles. There is NO VALUE here. You want to spend that level of money and you are an adult, find another upscale line to sail on. Thank goodness its over. I may go on another cruise but it WON'T be from Corporate Disney!
The guests should complain if they are aggressive. It's the only way Disney will change if ultimately it makes Disney look abusive that they are so desperate.😈

We are 69 and 75 and have been on 30 Disney cruises. Love them💕
Having sailed on the recent Podcast Cruise as a first-time cruiser, I can confirm Erica's statement that it is a life-changing experience.
I just turned 60 and I still feel like a kid 👧 so I will forever enjoy Disney. It is my magical place in a world that isn’t always so magical.
My husband and I are in our late 50s with no kids. We love Disney and the DCL. We always have a great time on Disney Ships.

If I wasn’t a Disney Cast member I would totally book all my Disney trips through you guys! I love your podcast
Regarding watching a movie in the room. The Concierge room I was in had a tv in the bathroom. Taking a bath while watching a movie was relaxing
BOSTON = The best DCL cast member ever!!! Seen him on a few cruises and he’s a riot and so energetic and has a great time with all the events!
My friend is going on Disney for the first time to Alaska and I am going for third or fourth time on Disney ❤😊
I’m loving Pete’s necklace

Good job Erica looks like your going to be a great addition to the team !
My food allergy experience on the Dream was amazing. But not good at all on the Fantasy. Our servers were also aggressive about the food survey
I dig Disney, but even if I didn’t, the service would keep me going on DCL. I don’t need a smoke filled casino or to be zooted 24/7. DCL is the best
I would love to go on a Disney cruise, but I went on a royal Caribbean one and I can't imagine the service being much better...it was phenomenal. I'm unsure what you mean by zooted 24/7?
Checking on the Alaska

annoying .....like listening to a 12 year old
That is the mentality.
The energy level of today’s show was completely off. It’s almost like Pete mailed it in because he wasn’t the main focus
