After talking to many of my former cast mates and crew members, I think the resounding opinion is that we all wish we spent more time sitting on the loungers on deck 4 and reading books, carved out solo time to stare out on the water and the moon, and be open to meeting more people from different departments and walks of life.
Next cruise I am taking 2 outfits and fabric refresh spray. I don't mind the coffee from deck 11 (Dream ship) or room service. I'm just so happy to be alive and on the cruise. You all be well and safe!
Sometimes, we forget to have a day to do as LITTLE as possible. Really, that is what we need more than anything else. We truly need to make time for much rest and relaxation!
I agree with everything y’all said. I’m one of those people that over plan my day with every activity from bingo and trivia to pool time. Next cruise is on the Wish in September and I’m already planning my outfits for dinner. There is nothing like a Disney Cruise
On our last cruise, we did Palo on the first night and found that we didn't connect with out servers and we didn't have that quiet, wonderful meal to look forward too. I've seen several movies over 8 cruises, but I don't go to the shows very often. Three day cruises are very short if you are a seasoned DCL cruiser since you know what you there is to do, and you just don't get time to do it. I agree with "dressing" especially for dinner, but my adult daughter is "I'm on vacation" and she doesn't want to bring more than shorts, tees, flip-flops.
@Pete Werner. I am totally upset with you and all of the people you have on your panel, you have all gotten me addicted to watching all of your content on all of your various shows. It all started with DVC, and now am down the rabbit hole. Thank you for all the great work you are doing, and the humor you bring to the show.
Okay so I'm going on my second back to back on the wish. I did not know that you could do it while you were still on the ship but when you're doing a B2B you do have to get off the ship and then they put you in a little area away from everybody else and so you end up being the first back on the ship and they take you to go for coffee and snacks on them. You don't have to repack your bags if you're in the same cabin but they will move your bags to your new cabin otherwise.
We eat breakfast almost every morning in one of the restaurants. The food is much better than Cabanas. We also eat at the restaurants on boarding day. We skip Cabanas most of the time.
Lol I pack 1 outfit per day and if I travel too long for my clothes to fit in 1 overhead compartment sized suitcase I'll take less cargo shorts and just wash on ship.
I agree with Elaine regarding booking a longer cruise! Our first cruise ever was the September 3-6 on the Disney Dream and we still didn’t get to do everything we wanted to do😩so aiming for our next cruise to be at least 5 days
Hey Pete, I get what you are saying about the coffee. In a previous video you mentioned you went down to the outdoor servers really early to get your coffee. I think that stuff is not great. However, you need to give the room service coffee a try. That stuff is is pretty good. Not saying that Cove Cafe is perhaps not great. But I enjoy the room service coffee for sure.
We just got off the DREAM on Friday and this time I wouldn’t have changed anything. We order room service breakfast on our Castaway day so we can relax and not eat too much before the BBQ. We booked the Rainforest room on the first day and it was amazing. For our Castaway Cay day we booked a Cabana on Serenity Bay which was also amazing. Then we sit by Satellite Falls the other days. We always watch Funnel Vision on pirate night cause they show Pirates of the Caribbean. So it only makes sense to watch it while you’re in the Caribbean. We get a slice of pizza and get a coffee and it’s so nice. We really don’t care for the breakfast on the ship in Cabanas or the Main Dining Room. We were in front of people doing a B2B and they said they had to get off the ship, take another test, and then they could get back on.
My wife and I have done the three day to Nassau and castaway Cay three times over the last four years. Each time we have done different things and have had a blast each time. We do want to do another Disney cruise. But I’d do the same three day again.
Years back, cruising Alaska, I met many passengers who lived either in Vancouver or Seattle cruised roundtrip & they did it often so the cost was low with many upgrades.
I watched Encanto and I loved the movie, but I think watching it on the ship made it even more special. I really thought I would spend hours laying on the deck, but I only layed in the sun twice for about 45 min. Next time I want to lay and do nothing more.
The theme of the DCL show. Pete subtly brags about how he can afford any luxury on the ship and the rest of the table sit there awkwardly quiet thinking about how they aren't rich like him and can't just afford to pay for Pressed clothes on the Express timeframe...

I’m planning my September Wish outfits already too 😂😂
I will be on the Wish in July and I am planning outfits with my mini me
Amen Craig! My family is part of those foot tapping people! Except for my dear husband, he is happy with beer and wifi!
a back to back cruise you still have to get off the boat so that customs can clear it... then you can get back on ... BEFORE concierge.

Okay you're getting me even more excited for Bingo now! Cheers!
Gearing up for our August sailing on The Wish! My first ever cruise! I can’t get enough DCL Show right now!

I completely agree with Pete about bavjng mumtiple outfits for each day. This is great advice for first time cruisers to know.
Especially underwear.

The eggs Benedict at the restaurant is much better than Cabanas imo
I have that same gold Mickey Mouse necklace! I bought it twenty years ago.

Loved this! Looking forward to my Alaska cruise…booked with Deams Unlimited!

OMG SUPER GREAT SHOW😄😅😃 Disney tired is so REAL been there 😅 Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Sailing on the Wish in September! Can’t wait!

I would 100% call myself Metro then. I absolutely overpack, and wear two well coordinated outfits on any given day, especially while on vacation.

I absolutely love Bingo.
Thanks.
Pete previously mentioned that he uses Kona Coffee in teabags when he's on a Disney Cruise. Where does he get them? Would love to know this!

Agreed. The first time I saw Encanto was on the Magic. What an amazing place to see it.

You can all overpack if you are driving to the ship. Overpacking for an airplane trip is ANOTHER story. 🙄🙄
Love Bingo!
