I wish I could find the words to express what the Podcast Cruise meant to this first time cruiser. Everything I experienced was new and incredible. I was hooked the moment I walked on the ship. Thank you to Miss Teresa and thank you, Pete, for inspiring me to live the Disney life I never thought I would have.
I absolutely love love love your video thank you so much...... I am an overpacker and I appreciate your honesty and i'm embracing my overpacking... Thank you again
Actually, as far as the surge protector plug set you’re talking about not being allowed… you can bring a cruise ship approved non-surge protection outlet extender/outlet can go on a DCL ship. They have to be a “Non-Surge Outlet”.
I buy the larger version of the Downey Wrinkle release and refill the smaller bottles for travel. We always have this packed in our 3-1-1 packs ready to go. Same with the toothpaste, creams, etc. They are always packed.
Portable fans are fine... if they're the USB plug type, as most any USB plug type device is permitted, including power splitters and extension cords. Thanks for the vid tho. We're booked with DU for our Alaska cruise this Summer... and can't wait.
At our nature parks we ask that you take nothing but pictures, share nothing but time and leave nothing but footprints. I was born and raised in the Caribbean. Tourists deplete and destroy the very things they say they love. Eg. When snorkelling they break off pieces of coral and they use and discard clear plastic bags trying to catch the pretty fish. Marine wildlife die when they mistake plastics for jelly fish. Coral die when mistreated. Also, the products people use, change the ph of the water or just pollute it with lotions etc and the coral and plants die off. Then the other lives go away too.
I swear I didn't bring "organic hair spray" that was straight raspberry vodka..... labled organic hair spray in a glass amber bottle... it wasnt completely wonderful or anything lol 😆
What? You can’t bring Gideon’s onto the ship?! Wow, am I ever glad I came across this video, because that is exactly what I was going to do. Staying overnight at WDW and had intended on buying those cookies. I guess I’ll have to go back to the park after cruise and buy them then.
Can conch shells be bought in Nassau and brought onboard? I know US customs allow them as long as it's declared and they can inspect it to ensure it doesn't contain anything living.
I would like to bring a lot less sand back from Castaway Cay. I find it interesting that all of you are dressing for dinner; something that we like to do too. However, many guests go with "I'm on vacation and I don't want to dress-up". I start packing a week ahead and use a list to check off items that I can't pack until the day I leave. I was able to pack only two pair of shoes - water shoes and dress shoes - for our last cruise. No one mentioned the baggage "fee" (don't bother calling it a tip) when dropping off your luggage. It's a fee or extortion, but not a tip.
My dad learned the hard way not to bring a multiplug with surge protector. Luckily there was only a delay in getting his bag after it was removed. I pack what was effectively a waterptroof fanny pack. Great when you have a swimming/beach day.
So at my age I’m getting close to the laugh and pee stage. I would bring a few extra panties and Poise pads. I also bring a few tide pods for doing laundry.
It was drinking the day before going in the ocean that puffed those eyes. Dehydrated your eyes and then deprived them of air with the goggles on. Craig.
This is to make u long for the past. My first cruise/ honeymoon. 28 days (really) we brought a case of champagne plus a bottle of Dom Perignon! We drove to port (no flights). We had 10 pieces of luggage!! (Formal stuff)
If you're packing clothes, but wearing every single outfit, is it still overpacking? Unless Pete isn't recycling the outfits. He's better than me, because I always wind up coming back with a couple pairs of pants or shoes that I didn't wear.
Sea bands (much better than Dramamine), Benadryl, allergy medicine, just about anything you think you might need, The shop on the ship has a very, very small selection of items and it is only open an hour out of port, It is also hard to find a pharmacy when you dont speak the language and when you have a tour scheduled. There is also the problem of not having local currency. A small pharmacy away from port may not take dollars. I know this seems doom and gloom but if you are like me and have allergic reactions depending on the ships store is a real problem. If you have rough seas and someone in your party gets motion sick you dont want to wait the hour until tthe shop can open or as is normal, the couple of hours until the find the pallet with their motion sickness or seabands on it. My last cruise, we hit very very bad seas heading out of Port Canaveral. When we entered the dining room it was mostly empty. There were chairs in the walkway. So many people were sick they couldnt keep up with cleaning si they used chairs to block things off. We were fine because 2 of us didnt get motion sick and 2 of us had seabands on. I discovered seabands on our firt cruise. They work like magic. We were seated at a table with two women and their daughters. The girl faces had a green tinge. The roughness of the seas came up and one of the moms mentioned she had already given the girls Dramamine but it wasnt working. I told her she should try the sea bands and that they would sell them at any of the stores which should be open. She got right up and went to the store. I showed them how to use them. The girls started looking better. Even tho mine went missing before the next cruise, I bought them on Amazon. I never cruise without them.
I visited Disneyland before the podcast cruise and brought onboard my new Spider-bot, they thought it was a drone, I managed to convince them to let me onboard with it, but I suggest leaving your spider-bots home 🕷🕸😁
This is kinda random but thank you Pete for saying the word tampon. I hate how delicate we are as a culture with words related to menstruation. Heaven forbid any males hear the word "period" or "pad".
I’m about to take a Disney cruise and not much of a wine or beer drinker does anyone know the policy when it comes to like a white claw or mikes hard type products?
As nice as the shampoo and conditioners are, they are not good for every hair type. I have 3C-4A hair type so unfortunately I have no choice but to bring my own shampoo
You can bring a curling iron and hair dryer which cause fires but cannot bring a non surge protector multi strip unlike every other cruise line and cannot bring an extension cord for a CPAP machine, they force you to rest one for $50. Total and utter crap!!! Get better Disney. As for now I am heading to Royal...
I appreciate Craig’s in depth knowledge of the alcohol policy.
Don’t we all 😂
@@erinerdos185 We DO! 🤪

I have insomnia at 3 am & hysterically laughing 5 minutes into this at Teresa’s take double the panties cruise advice & Craig! 🤣😂
"i refuse to go out and buy a fat suit" ...you guys crack me up!!! it's so nice to know that you all are facing the same challenges!!!
I absolutely love love love your video thank you so much...... I am an overpacker and I appreciate your honesty and i'm embracing my overpacking... Thank you again
Lots of good info! Teresa is my go to agent at Dreams Unlimited! Very helpfull.
great video! we're going on our first ever cruise with disney this summer, for 11 days, and packing is feeling very overwhelming right now haha
I forgot to pack clothes for the Formal Night on our last cruise.
Actually, as far as the surge protector plug set you’re talking about not being allowed… you can bring a cruise ship approved non-surge protection outlet extender/outlet can go on a DCL ship. They have to be a “Non-Surge Outlet”.
I found wrinkle remover spray extremely helpful on my last cruise!

Yep, sea lice. DS was in the water while we were at the podcast cruise meet-up and he got stung. Luckily it wasn't too bad!
Pete had me rollin’ when he said you can’t bring on any candles 🕯 cause of the open flame! 🤣 Funny.
This was fun to watch! Great group dynamic
Yes, Teresa, , extra undies! Also, I take the older ones and throw them away. On all vacations! I’m not hauling dirty ditties home with me. 😂
Yes, as a guy, I pack extra pair of underwear for

How about a alarm clock for travel is that a exception?? It has a plug and batteries so is that okay 😊❤❤

I still have that Disney Lunch box in the background

it's a bigger challenge when you come from overseas and have a luggage weight limit on the flight.
We planned on buying rum in Nassau. Can we do that and just check it?
can you add the link where to buy the bug spray that you use at Castaway, please😉
I’d bring beach towels but mostly because I’m obsessed with my sand cloud towels and they don’t take up as much space as traditional beach towels.
Can you bring battery packs (as in battery chargers for phones)?
And what about travel adapters? - Do the ships take USA, EU or UK plugs? Thanks.
I saw via videos both UK and EU outlets in addition to USA outlets
You guys crack me up! I look forward to the videos. And cheered when I heard "moleskin" - I never forget it!
A very honest discussion! Love your videos!
So at my age I’m getting close to the laugh and pee stage. I would bring a few extra panties and Poise pads. I also bring a few tide pods for doing laundry.
Pack extra tampons is real!!! Lesson learned the hard way and now need it or not they come along!
Great things to add to the list ! Thank you

1991 Cunard
We took our personal cans of beer to the D lounge for karaoke, and no one said anything. I also had a multi-usb expander that they didn’t take.
You can had usb expanders/hubs as long as they directly plug into outlet--just can't have an extension cord on them.
Can you send home or can you send everything to my house or can you just bring it onboard for a gift to someone else??❤😊
Alcohol especially??😊

Good topic!
are usb charging hubs allowed. Only has usb ports, no electrical outlets.
I’ve never been on a cruise yet. I would love to try one sometime. In the mean time, my family and I go to Disney world once a year.
what if you buy the shells from a store? Can you bring those on board?

Packing also makes a difference when you are flying to the port!😂
I visited Disneyland before the podcast cruise and brought onboard my new Spider-bot, they thought it was a drone, I managed to convince them to let me onboard with it, but I suggest leaving your spider-bots home 🕷🕸😁
Yep, I bring my empty shampoo bottles and fill them up.
Cause, 30 bucks to buy it?
And, I miss the little bottles.
I had no idea they would take my heating pad for a back injury away , had to purchase one from the infirmary 🤪🤪
UL approval.
That’s a new one smuggling stuff in tampon containers😃
Are there different packing recommendations for an Alaska or Northern Europe cruise?
This is kinda random but thank you Pete for saying the word tampon. I hate how delicate we are as a culture with words related to menstruation. Heaven forbid any males hear the word "period" or "pad".
I’m about to take a Disney cruise and not much of a wine or beer drinker does anyone know the policy when it comes to like a white claw or mikes hard type products?
How silly to bring food and a Keurig onboard
I like Pete’s voice
I always get sunscreen in my eyes, so eyedrops are always in my suitcase.
Why is there a camera behind Pete? Lol
I heard you can take a nonserge protected plug. Is that true?
Yes. We took them on our cruise in December.
As nice as the shampoo and conditioners are, they are not good for every hair type. I have 3C-4A hair type so unfortunately I have no choice but to bring my own shampoo

Hi friends
Don't bring a metal detector for the beach. Metal detecting on the beach not allowed. Drones are not allowed either.
Craig: Buy prescription sunglasses! C’mon now…
I was on the 3 night and looked for you even in the smoking section and didn’t see you. My hubby says your a myth😜
❤ why can’t you just hold the musical instruments??😅😊
Laugh and pee, laugh and pee! LOL!
I would love to try a disbelieving cruise, until then I will only be able to go to Disney world.
I wish they would’ve pronounced it “Tam-pins” 😂😂
Someone was actually going to bring their own coffee maker?
Unless you are spoiling yourself on the cruise there is no reason for so many pairs of underwear. Just my two cents!
Sweat. Menopausal sweat. 😅
What a queen!! 🙄
I believe in filling up empty bottles to fill up with shampoo. The resorts are expensive and me taking a little shampoo won’t hurt them.
