Damn thing saved my run. I wanted to gameover at some point, but it carried a stack of 2 Strike Groups while being half eaten. Then another attacked while I was on repair.
The lighting effect is off the charts with this game. My whole room was lighting up like fireworks when Sevastopol entered. I can only imagine how awesome a fleet vs fleet would've looked.
I love those SG fights. Seva's guns create that odd rythem where you can never quite tell if that's just overwhelming firepower or the game lagging from said overwhelming firepower. On a side note, if you haven't gotten into outright custom ships, some minor modifications can turn Sevastopol into an absolute death star. >strip off most sensors, cut down main mast. instead just put a single good FCR radar where the mast would have been. Put them on longbow/ escorts instead >close up the armor gaps >ad more engines, remove small statics from bottom. How you do this is up to you, I usually move the outer large statics down, extend the armor and ad a pair of large gimbal engines. >expand front area in general a little. adds more space and fixes balance >add lots of palash. squeezing them in armor corners is optimal but you can make holes in armor if you don't want to exploit. >add/replace 37mm ciws, keep a few 57. add a few 100/130mm if you want (cheap volume of fire to saturate enemy palash. closed side/bottom armor eats MG, palash deletes canon shells. main threat is R5 zenit missile, hence 37mm. adding 37mm regroups 57 to main battery. Continuous stream of bullets helps aim and helps hit weak spots/ follow up on broken armor. Much more sustainable than stock, can solo SGs with minimal damage. Also, the palash display looks like an energy shield :P Also, when targeted by cruise missiles, split off Seva so the missile is forced to come straight at you. launch single R9 sprint to find direction, then devour it with both mouse buttons.
This game was awesome but the lack of a proper aiming indicator just killed it for me. Maybe I don't have the "spacial" skills or whatever but I kept losing because I couldn't fucking hit anything
The game really motivates you to pay heed to the strategic portion of the gameplay. T-7s and cruise missiles are a must for strike groups. I also like to bring a homing missile ship to soften them up with a large volley of missiles before bringing fighters in.

Если корабль тяжёлый и несёт тяжёлое оружие - нужно много брони, если корабль лёгкий - ему не нужна броня и много орудий, он их не сможет нести и станет лёгкой мишенью, так как потеряет в скорости. Я понятия не имел, что делаю :) Легкие корабли участвовали в многочисленных городских боях, поэтому я подумал, что, возможно, они смогут справиться с ударными группами, но эти синие боеприпасы превратили мою жизнь в ад. Это была последняя ударная группа. Из-за фатальной ошибки мне пришлось сражаться со всеми ними подряд. Севастополь был наполовину съеден и на ремонте. Спасибо за просмотр

It is super easy to rebuild proper way but yeah you need to get hands dirty in editor for like 5-10 minutes.
I wish in this game you could bring in your whole fleet against their whole fleet.

Sometimes, I forget how powerful the Sevastopol is, I usually use it against the Varyag and as a cruise missile launcher

Nothing, sadly. This game was 65 hours of solid gameplay to the end. I have to get into ship building.

Ive always loved Highfleet but always found it a unfair that you are always outnumbered. Especially when you've got to take in three cruisers at once.
Blue ammo is the bane of my existence... And they start using Sakhmat with blue ammo and half my Hull gets destroyed lol
