How to Use the Blackhawk Speed Clips

- This is just a quick demonstration of how to use the Blackhawk Speed Clips. In my opinion they are a far better alternative to Maxpedition's TacTies because they allow quick and easy attaching and detaching of MOLLE gear.
Thank you for this easy to follow video. I recently purchased a BH thigh rig; and they came with it. I must admit that I was completely ignorance to what they were for. Haha We used alligator clips when I was in the Corps. This looks to be a much better system. No rotting metal to worry about.
I'm glad my video was helpful to you.
@stschmalhaus A small tip: the "lips" on the speed clip (that end up facing outwards from the mounting surface) are designed to clip onto the outer rows of webbing on those Mxp-pouches. By doing this you'll achieve less of a floppy pouch and really lock them in place.
In my opinion, you should have tucked both ends of the attached pouched underneath the hook tabs of the Speed Clips. It's a lot more secure, and it's still very easy to detach.
I like your channel! Keep it up.
Thanks Stefan.
It was so much better to see your video demonstration than to follow the instructions in writing.
Thanks for posting this - I saw the speed clips mentioned in a thread on EDC forums, but it is very helpful to watch a demonstration to see how they work.
Thanks for showing these - I wasn't aware of them and they look like the most elegant molle attaching solution I have seen.
Very well done!! I fully understand how the speed clips work, and I like them. Now, I’ll buy some.
Stefon your recent videos on the Maxpedition iteams really got me going so i went ahead and ordered a little something from Maxpedition :). Once i get it i'll do a quick unboxing. Great demonstration and also thank you for the Maxpedition videos :).
Awesome demo, Stefan. You really sold me on these. I'm gonna get some.
Thanks man I've been having a hard time with these all day thanks for the help!
Great demonstration. I use the tacties and they can be a pain sometimes. These look like a great solution.
Excellent demonstration. Thank you.
Outstanding video Stefan thank you for taking the time!
Found your video to be very helpful. Now I have a better understanding of BlackHawk SpeedClips and how they work.
You know, I could never get how the speed clips worked until this video. Maybe something in the demo or something in the technique. It is *very* much easier now. Thank you very much.
I 100% agree... Great video. I have used many other molle attachment devices and the speed clips are by far the fastest and most rigid. Thanks for sdharing and it's like I always say. Let's all learn from each other. Joe Tactical
they work great. When i use the 3 inch speed clips, i put both the first row and the last row of the item and the platform into the speedclip hooks. Using a flat head screw driver helps to get the speed clips into the place when you are having some trouble.
great demonstration. thanks! just what i wanted to see.
Thanks for posting, very helpful.
Thank you Stefan! Exactly what I needed to see!
Awesome demonstration
Great demo thanks I was going to return the clips until I watched this, don’t listen to the negative posters especially the ones who haven’t even tried them yet just assuming these aren’t secure, there’s no way my cell phone case is coming off my SBA vest without a major effort
Thank you was very helpful.
at first i didn't think they looked very secure but i completely forgot about weaving them. They look like a pretty good solution i had been thinking about getting some malice clips which people seem to like but this gives another alternative.
Molly sticks are the better mouse trap. They lock and quick release. But this video is 8 years old at this point so good show mate
Good presentation. Helped a lot.
@MrJimbofox I'm sure you will like them over the TacTies. The TacTies are great for attaching MOLLE items permanently. But for frequently changing pouches from one bag or backpack to another, the speed clips are a quick and easy solution.
@freedoomed I've never tried malice clips, but from what I've read it's a pain in the ass to detach them. I still use TacTies for attaching gear permanently. But for pouches that I frequently change from one bag/backpack to another the speed clips are the best solution.
Great video, thank you for the information.
Your the best! Thank you! Which Maxpedition pouch is that black one? Please sir . :-)
Very clear demo Thanks
Great video!
Good for you, Klaus, Good for you
hahahahahah nice
I love German accents like yours, lol. I giggled at "coy-otee." We say ky- (like 'sky')-otee, or ky-oat where I grew up. Just thought that was a funny pronunciation.
Anyway, helpful video. Thanks dude.
Have you considered Tactical Tailors Malice clips?
Nice demo
I haven't tried these, but wouldn't one want to position the end clip parts over the webbing of both the bag and the pouch?
Thanks for the video.
@903lew Yes, you are right. I sometimes use them like that, sometimes I don't. I just forgot to mention it in my video. Thank you!
Great video you did a good job explaining the speed clips. My advice to everyone. Don't waste your money on speed clips, buy maxpedition tacties.
@TheLazySpoiledKitty And are the prices in zloty reasonable compared to the prices in US dollar? I'm just curious because the EUR prices for Maxpedition stuff are just insane in Germany, France or other EUR-countries. That's why I order directly in the US.
@TheLazySpoiledKitty Where did you order this "little something"? I usually order my Maxpedition stuff from EzeeDeal on eBay - trustworthy seller, fast shipping, great prices and very reasonable international shipping rates!
Thanks for the demo. I don't like how easy it was to detach. Easy for thieves. Or might fall off the bag or pouch if rubbed on something the wrong way. I will go ahead and get the Maxpedition Tacties.
@ultramarinegoat Thank you for your kind words! - There is a supplier in Germany that also ships to other European countries (shipping to France is 9.95 EUR): asmc[dot]de. The website is available in French!
Very helpful.
Thank you!
Hello there, thanks for the video. In your opinion, could these speed
clips be utilised as a belt loop?
I was thinking the same thing
I've never had anything fall off. My general advice is: If you want to attach your stuff to the Falcon 2 permanently, use the TacTies. If you switch your stuff from one pack to another very often use the Speed Clips.
whats the background music you use in this video?
@@jaysaini955 The video is eleven years old. I have no idea.
fumling around...
hast du das von englisch mit lothar? :D
@Valerieannleeh You are welcome, Valerie!
I don't understand why a pouch that small wouldn't just have the straps. Am I missing something??
Rogue Marine because then you wouldn't need to buy these or similar clips
because Maxpedition wants to sell you their tacties.
from what ive seen none of their bags come with straps
That is shady as $%^& XD
Good catch man.
Yeah, so you’ll buy clips or some other type of attachment. It’s all about MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!! So, BUY, BUY, BUY!!!
Sorry it took so long to see your question... but the built in straps are a part of the patent on the MOLLE / PALS systems. Companies don't want to pay the stupid pricing on licencing, so we have MALICE clips among other things.
I have exelent track record using both speed clips and malice clips (Tactical Taylor), properly attached both are bomb-prof. I'm more iffy about tacties, I think they lack rigiditet
Bobba out
@edgedweapon88 They are. You should give them a try, Keelen.
@gtrxuz This is correct, the width is 1 inch.
Many thanks
@GMGvanS I'm sorry to disappoint you, George. But I would have to play all roles myself. And I'm sure you wouldn't want to see that. LOL
@TheBlake138 Who is Klaus?!?
Whats the song at 1:13?
I have no idea. This video is 12 years old!
@@StefanSchmalhaus No worries Stefan, thankyou for getting back to me.
I'm surprised you got back to me, I had 0 hopes of this even being answered at all. I ask because I do like the music, its like from a 90s spy movie.
@aebbelwoy Bitte, gern geschehen.
Always had a bit of a problem with BLACKHAWK! products, mostly due to their constant overuse of both capitals and exclamation marks.
I personally prefer Tactical Tailor MALICE-clips. A more solid lock-up is in my experience impossible to achive.
Danke
@stschmalhaus Well i'm going to have to spoil it and tell you what iteam i bough to answer that question. Let me PM you Stefon.
I don't know this cartoon. I was slightly confused because my father's first name is Klaus.
Not good. You started with the "final position". While watching that, I was thinking this can't work. And it didn't because it WAS NOT the "final position".
he is a gold fish from the cartoon show entitled american dad
Id be scared that it becomes loos and falls off
Thats what happends to me all the time whit those. Its a poor solution, so much out there that is better and cheaper
That's probably why they have a hole in them....to secure them, no need to do that with a Tactie.
@stschmalhaus I ordered it from a website called cqbtactical (dot) pl. Trustworthy seller. I've bough from them 2 times before NO problems at all :). They have all sorts of stuff from knives to flashlights and maxpedition gear and other things we all love :).
wouldnt trust this kit. i'll stick to cable ties.
A quick and simple solution!
@GMGvanS Do you think it's fun to be a porn movie director? Anemone doesn't want to do bed scenes with Barnacle. And M-2 (the guy with the belt loop) suffers from erectile dysfunction.
Every this “speed clips” this is not speed. More easy use regular molle system. And this really faster. My opinion.
just buy a pouch that actually come with the straps this is a rip off 30 dollar pouch and you need o buy extras just to make it work for you pssss
No, I wouldn't recommend it.
just show how to use it , I don't care about color
