  • This is just a quick demonstration of how to use the Blackhawk Speed Clips. In my opinion they are a far better alternative to Maxpedition's TacTies because they allow quick and easy attaching and detaching of MOLLE gear.

    Thank you for this easy to follow video. I recently purchased a BH thigh rig; and they came with it. I must admit that I was completely ignorance to what they were for. Haha We used alligator clips when I was in the Corps. This looks to be a much better system. No rotting metal to worry about.

    @stschmalhaus A small tip: the "lips" on the speed clip (that end up facing outwards from the mounting surface) are designed to clip onto the outer rows of webbing on those Mxp-pouches. By doing this you'll achieve less of a floppy pouch and really lock them in place.

  • @OpaKnows
    @OpaKnows 13 років тому +4

    In my opinion, you should have tucked both ends of the attached pouched underneath the hook tabs of the Speed Clips. It's a lot more secure, and it's still very easy to detach.
    I like your channel! Keep it up.

    I 100% agree... Great video. I have used many other molle attachment devices and the speed clips are by far the fastest and most rigid. Thanks for sdharing and it's like I always say. Let's all learn from each other. Joe Tactical

    they work great. When i use the 3 inch speed clips, i put both the first row and the last row of the item and the platform into the speedclip hooks. Using a flat head screw driver helps to get the speed clips into the place when you are having some trouble.

    @MrJimbofox I'm sure you will like them over the TacTies. The TacTies are great for attaching MOLLE items permanently. But for frequently changing pouches from one bag or backpack to another, the speed clips are a quick and easy solution.

  • @StefanSchmalhaus

    @freedoomed I've never tried malice clips, but from what I've read it's a pain in the ass to detach them. I still use TacTies for attaching gear permanently. But for pouches that I frequently change from one bag/backpack to another the speed clips are the best solution.

    @StefanSchmalhaus  13 років тому

    @SchiHoschi Wenn Du die Tasche so befestigst, wie ich es im Video vorführe, brauchst Du einen 3"-Clip (ist auch leicht zu erkennen, da die MOLLE-Schlaufen auf eine Höhe von einem Inch genormt sind). Wenn Du auf der MOLLE-Plattform mehr Schlaufen zur Verfügung hast und Du die beiden äußeren (statt der mittleren) Barnacle-Schlaufen verwenden willst, kannst Du auch einen 5"-Clip nehmen.
