      And apparently you have to break the molly stick to “?use?” them. So then they are broken and you can’t use them. ;)

      @@brettsilva7317 I don't think he means break in damaging it but to snap it a certain way to enable quick release. Basically it's unsnapping it.

    I didn't realize I was on the cutting edge of this technology. I bought a fist full of these a couple of months ago along with some Vanquest pouches. I didn't know they break open like that. This video was a good find.

    Most of my gear comes with the MOLLE button strap already attached for weaving, but this looks easier to use than the MALICE clip I have one some. This unique like you say! Very cool - something to consider for future gear. Thanks!

    Most do, but having a dedicated sewn on option limits options on a field replacement if necessary. That's why we originally went with MALICE Clips. The Molly Stix are an even better option for some because they provide a quick disconnect. ~ Bryan

    I too will use these for my IFAKs. Easier and more quiet than Velcro panels. Endless possibilities with this product.

    Wow, this look very promising. Specially for guys like me that switch pouches around from pack to pack all the time. But do you guys happen to know how well they last on the long term?

  • @RebelSapper

    Wow, I really like those. I'm often switching pouches between multiple vests for the task at hand; these may be the ticket to make it easier.

    We're offering it as an option, not as a replacement yet for the MALICE clips we include on the ETA Kit Pouch. Thanks! ~ Bryan

    So let me get this straight.... By pulling BOTH cords, the 2 that are tied together will break them away??? And then you are left holding the sticks you just pulled on? That are tied together? I think you said they are tied together right? The bag just falls away when you pull BOTH cords that are tied together? Hopefully I got that correctly

  • @Rudytooty91
    @Rudytooty91 5 років тому

    One thing I thought of was to tie the release cord onto the med pouch itself. This would allow you to pull the Stix and keep the pouch in your hand at the same time instead of the pouch dropping to the ground or having to try and use your other hand.

    • @Warvvolf

      Same. Or use blackhawk quick sticks with cordage and disable the hook at one end.

    what is the durability of the molle sticks would they be up for abuse like being stepped on by accident or the add on pouch being snagged/caught on something etc...

  • @FrozenPenguing
    @FrozenPenguing 12 років тому

    May be a dumb question, but why would you not just include button down straps to the back of the trauma kit that weave into the MOLLE? Is there a reason pouches you attach to MOLLE don't just come with straps already on them? I know some do, but some don't. Can someone fill me in here?

  • @MadRandomCollectable
    @MadRandomCollectable 4 роки тому

    I would suggest to put a hole at the bottom of the Molle Stick and attach a line to it that is long enough to just weave the line through the Molle Straps and then simply pull the entire Molle Stick through quicker.

  • @777Zubi

    Hi , there is something I don't understand -.- , normally all pouches made for the molle system are made with normal clasping , so why use these ?

    • @FloppaAppreciator
      @FloppaAppreciator 10 років тому +1

      These are for pouches without the standard MOLLE, for example companies like ITS, Tactical Tailor, Mil-spec Monkey, they use MALICE clips which can be moved or taken out and these are a somewhat better solution. I find MALICE clips quite the B*tch. xD

    • @DarkNibiruRising
      @DarkNibiruRising 9 років тому +1

      777Zubi It depends on the brand, Believe it or not some gear comes with no clasping. Its just a way to make extra money because the fast clips cost around 30-40 bucks. Double the money spent by the consumer smart business wise stupid consumer wise.

    I carry the fatboy in the 6 o'clock position on my war belt. The fat boy seems to be the perfect kit other than the fact that I really can't get to it in a fast efficient manner. Its a little difficult to tear away the molly stix. If I'm losing blood, don't know if I would be able to exert the necessary energy to release the stix
    Im afraid a Good Samaritan wouldn't know how to disengage the pouch from my war belt for best access to now work on me.
    Any suggestions?

    • @tibariand862
      @tibariand862 9 років тому

      I suggest you could maybe get someone to embroider a patch to incorporate on the pull cord, stating "PULL" or "PULL FOR QUICK RELEASE" or wording along those lines.

  • @brettsilva7317
    @brettsilva7317 5 років тому

    Or instead of breaking the molly stix you could just use the regular molle attachment and just cut the pouch off. Boom quick release. That way you don’t have to buy the ITS molly stix and then proceed to break them. Or you could buy the Vanquest Molle Sticks that have a release mechanism built in so you don’t have to “break” them.
    Am I Right??!
    Also there is no sarcasm in this comment.

  • @dubjspecialk

    Nice product, but way to expensive. I can get 6 Blackhawk! Speed Clips for $1 more at lapolicegear than your 2 MOLLE Stix. Lower your price or do a pack of like 4 for the same price and I'd buy them.

      He ALWAYS says that the pronunciation doesn't matter, and that everyone knows what he's talking about. How would he feel if we all said "IT'S" Tactical as the name of his business? I think he'd be a little more upset. Believe it or not, it's that combination of arrogance and ignorance that's kept me from watching any of his vids for a LONG time (I followed a link here before I realized it was from IT'S Tactical!

    Funny that they first do away with the A.L.I.C.E. clips (which were an already attached clip system on pouches) and now introduce these clips as an option...go's to show what a stupid system Molle is !

    • @Wandering_Grunt
      @Wandering_Grunt 8 років тому +1

      they have to use MALICE clips and things such as this because the MOLLE sticks you see on USGI pouches is a copyright of Natick labs, so most of these civilian gear companies can't use them, so there needs to be an after market attachment system. MOLLE isn't stupid. ALICE clips are stupid.
