The music from the 60s and 70s is much richer than today's music. So many songs dealt with existential questions, rather than the everyday things we experience.
This song made me go out and buy a mandolin to lure my boyfriend over to my house with his guitar. We've been together 48 years. Songs can change lives.
There is music that you hear, and there is music that you Listen to. This is the latter. I get such a kick watching you both fall in love with music I've loved all my life. I look forward to joining you on your journey.
This is an absolute masterpiece! One of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs! Then again...aren't they all?! ❤ l am soooo enjoying your reactions! Thank you!! ✌ 🇨🇦
People really don’t listen to music like we did when these songs were current. We listened to albums entirely, and repeatedly. I enjoy seeing reactors appreciate the music as it should be.
Just watched you react to John Prine's Hello In There. I am a somewhat cynical old fart(71), but I was genuinely touched by your empathy as well as your interactions. You seem like a sweet couple. Would be great to have neighbors like you two.
God's honest truth. My wife and I have been married 30ish years. I have called her in to watch SEVERAL times when Andre is being epic husband guy. She has offered suggestions. ;-)
Hello, I wanted to come back and watch you guys again. I love the way you really respect such a masterpiece. Your comment "unsettled but in a good way" that's a wonderful insight into the poetic depth of mystical imagery and meaning in this song. It pulls at your mind and your soul at the same time, teasing you with insight, enlightenment, beauty just barely beyond reach. It sure takes you for an emotional roller coaster. Thank you for such a wonderful and personal review.
Sometimes, things come to you when you are supposed to receive them. Please don't feel bad that you just found this. I am grateful you feel the same way about it as I have. Just turned 57. I found Led Zeppelin when I was 13. I'm still as much of a fan now as then. Thank you.
You made me feel so much when you lamented about not taking the time before now to hear this song. It wasn't just the song, it was the fact that you two are so completely committed to getting the most from these reactions and when you come across a true masterpiece like this, it hits home. Don't worry about what you don't know!!!! Just keep being curious and fearless!
I think we all have listened to songs a lot, and loved them, and then u listen again and suddenly see stuff u missed the first million times. Part of the human condition I guess..for me watching rxERS is a way to catch stuff I missed as everyone sees different angles...kind the actual lesson of this song, maybe?
I’ve watched dozens of reactions to this song and I loved your reactions sooo much on such a different level. You not only enjoyed and loved the song for its musical greatness but the message of the song hit you the way it did made it that much greater. Great reaction.
That’s interesting that you said “hope.” When Robert Plant introduced this song live from The Song Remains the Same movie he said, “I think this is a song about hope.”
Forget the videos I love you two! I love the way you talk to one another with such kindness and respect. A beautiful couple and your accents are remarkable and romantic ❤
I heard Jimmy Page (guitar) say in an interview that they wrote this song so that it "continually unfolds." I hear the song differently after he said that. Now when I listen I can hear each layer of music & lyrics unfolding. Gorgeous. Thank you, Led Zeppelin for this masterpiece.
Many bands have their big songs, this is Led Zeppelin's big song. Like you said you've heard this before, but not to the degree that you really listened to it here.
Robert Plant once said that Stairway to Heaven was the one song he hated to perform because people wanted to hear it over and over again. While Stairway to Heaven became one of my generation’s enduring rock anthems, it also became so overplayed that it faded into the background. It is a musical masterpiece.
The synergy of the song and the synergy of the hosts is really what Stairway brings out in many... this was a really beautiful reaction by 2 extraordinary people.
Part of the beauty of this song that once you have truly listen it will always unfold in a new way and as I have found time and again the music connects me to who I am in a different way and the experience is different every time.
This was an amazing reaction video! Thank you!! I think reactions and reviews are very different. Seeing emotional reactions to songs has become more satisfying to me than hearing reviews. (Although, there are still great reviews!)😊
Dominika, yes, Led Zeppelin has blown us all away and will continue to do so, regardless of how many times we listen to the same 85 songs! The songwriting, combined with the top musicians as a group, put LZ at the top.....beautiful reaction by both of you and thank you for that! I love the emotion and passion from both of you!!
Time to get the Led out!! 😂😂 This song, along with Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", are probably the two most iconic songs ever created and will be played for eternity. You two make a lovely pair who are obviously devoted to each other - another prime reaction!!
Been one of my all time faves since I was 11-12ish, I'm 60 next week. Nothing is like Led Zep. When I was in 11th grade myself and alot of others in my school had tix to see them, then John Bonham passed, tour cancelled. It was a sad sad day I'll never forget
I was 18 yrs old when this was released… we used to gather at someone’s house (whoever got the new album) and listen to it together. I remember we were so blown away by the lyrics by the music that we just sit in silence for a while to take it all in. I’ll just never forget the first time I heard that song.
It can't be overstated how well Plant's vocals in the opening verses set the tone for the song; by creating drama and tension and mood with his universal themes of yearning; searching, spiritualism and transcendence. This song is a masterpiece on so many levels! Great to watch two people with a great first reaction to a great song!!
1. React to Stairway to Heaven Live 1977 2. React to Heart (Ann & Nancy Wilson) covering "Stairway To Heaven" at the Kennedy Center Honors. ----Make sure you know who the band Heart is. Robert disliked all covers of his songs except for when Ann & Nancy would cover them. Ann's got the vocals!! ----In the balcony from L to R is the quietly brilliant John Paul Jones (bass & keyboard), the iconic Robert Plant (lead singer), & the bad ass Jimmy Page (guitar). Their drummer, John Bonham past away RIP, but his son Jason honors his Dad by playing drums on the song. Personally, I LOVE that you did the lyrics first. Kudos 👏 Now you can dig deeper on the song. Fun Fact: Robert would like to be remembered for their song "Kashmir" rather than "Stairway". (I totally get that - I love Kashmir) Growing up there were 3 songs that continually battled to be the "#1 song of all time" on the song countdowns. Here they are in no particular order: Bohemian Rhapsody Stairway To Heaven Hotel California
Two observations from an old man... 1) the best music bypasses your ears and detours directly to your soul and 2) stop worrying about people asking what rock you were under - for whatever reason you missed the music before, you now have the time ... and people that would love to show you what you missed and share your journey of discovery with you. 😊 On that note, I'd like to suggest the song PIRATES - Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The live version from @ 1977 is probably the best to start with as they were touring with a 27 piece orchestra. A great story wrapped in an incredible piece of rock/prog music.
And that’s just the curtain-raiser of this perfect album, one of the blessed few end-to-end masterpieces of popular music. By turns sly, heartbreaking, sublime, lonely, gorgeous, confident, warm, thrilling, and oh-so-New-York-City, “BOTW” just glows.
It's also worth checking out the best ever cover of this song: Heart's version live at the Kennedy Center Honors. Led Zep are in the audience, and the looks of love and joy on their faces...
I once read a comment to a reaction to that Heart performance that said: "This was rock royalty paying tribute to rock gods". Well said! And it's an epic tribute; one of the best covers of all time.
This reaction...is EXACTLY WHY I love reaction videos. How it warms my heart to see and hear you both appreciate this gem. Sad that you never "realized" how great lyrically this is, but you have now discovered it, and at a time when yo \u are mature to actually understand it! Who knows...you may not have truly "gotten" it's meaning when you were younger. GREAT GREAT REACTION folks.
Quite possibly one of the three best rock songs ever recorded (Hotel California and Sweet Home Alabama the other two). After 40 some years I can still hear my mom's voice from downstairs: "Turn that crap down up there!". Greetings from Vancouver, Canada.
I loved this review of the best rock song I've ever heard...this was our anthem of the 70s...it is a game changer listening with good headphones rather than in a car radio...Jimmy said that while practicing the song Robert sat in a corner for 45 minutes and had written all the lyrics...they then recorded it in 3 takes.
Better late than never. Really like your reactions. Back then many of us heard this and other great music mainly on the radio while we went about our lives. At some point I really listened properly and was blown away.
Your reactions are honest. Thats why I love this reaction video compared to others. The shock value is epic. Welcome to Zepville. You are now 2 Zepheads! ❤ Ive been a Led Zepplin fan since I was a kid. Im so thankful my parents had great taste in music. Theyre 74 and 72 now and im 54 living in New York City. Ill love Led Zeppelin until the day I die and if I could bring one album with me when I go, it would be Led Zeppelin's. ❤
Am 81 but still love my great Led Zeppelin! 👍
I'm with you Mike...
❤❤I LOVE Led Zeppelin !!!!!❤❤

Ive been watching you for a bit. Id like to say your relationship and patience with each other is wonderful.
Just watched you react to John Prine's Hello In There. I am a somewhat cynical old fart(71), but I was genuinely touched by your empathy as well as your interactions. You seem like a sweet couple. Would be great to have neighbors like you two.

This song is like a painting you get out of it what you want to.

Uncanny.
A " must hear " for everyone who loves good music.
another thing about this song is , ones pov can change on the interpretation on it as well. Deep lyrics
Hello again from New Zealand 😊 love your guys channel and this reaction. Super authentic..cant get enough.
A wonderful reaction. You were both at a loss for words, in my opinion. And it was nice.
Forget the videos I love you two! I love the way you talk to one another with such kindness and respect. A beautiful couple and your accents are remarkable and romantic ❤

I saw that too, Jimmy was so captivating explaining speeding up the song just to say F-YOU to the BBC and recording studio bigwigs in general.
Best rock song ever !!!
I love seeing peoples reaction to songs I've lived for most of my life❤
Many bands have their big songs, this is Led Zeppelin's big song. Like you said you've heard this before, but not to the degree that you really listened to it here.
Been listening to Zeppelin for decades. To my mind still the greatest band ever.
Best Rock band ever.🎸
You guys really get it. Thanks.
The song has always been there waiting for you to listen. Now you know.
The best song ever. I can hear it 1 million times and I will never tire of it and every time I hear it, I'm still amazed.

yes Dominika, it's a masterpiece . I love your reactions
There are songs that grab you and make you want to be better, ;-)
All the best.
Cheers.
You should watch Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson honouring Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center with this song...epic.
Absolutely the right choice for a dedication.
Yes do that - also because of the bands reaction to it.
Yes...do this :)
This ❤👍
Uh, no. Bad imitation, imo.
The greatest band with the best musicians ever to come together. Each member a superlative practitioner of his craft.
It's not even close.
Loved your reaction, enjoyable time spent with ya : )
Robert Plant introduces this song on the live album with, "this is a song of hope" so you're correct. 👍
Lol. I just wrote that too. Great music definitely paints a great picture.
@@PeterTea Yeah, that is my feeling too.
Cheers 🍺
Led Zeppelin one of the greatest band ever - and here with this iconic anthem ...
And that iconic guitar solo - one of the best ever ...

What a joyful couple. You make me smile so much, thank you ❤
I mean, you can't go wrong with Led Zeppelin. They were so bloody good
play it backwards
The synergy of the song and the synergy of the hosts is really what Stairway brings out in many... this was a really beautiful reaction by 2 extraordinary people.
Led Zeppelin is one of the three best bands ever.
Part of the beauty of this song that once you have truly listen it will always unfold in a new way and as I have found time and again the music connects me to who I am in a different way and the experience is different every time.
This song is a point of clarity
Affirmative.

My favorite Zeppelin song for my one personal reason. Lots of memories with this song. Great ones 😊
That was a great reaction. Don't doubt yourselves. Good job.
It’s so good, it makes you cry.

I heard it the first time when i was 12 years and i caught me spot on. One of the epic song ever from 1971. Yes Led Zeppelin is fav band❤

This song made history, a masterpiece! Thank you so much! 🤘

Lol lol,,, admin,,, it left y'all speechless... That's what amazing music will do to you
1. React to Stairway to Heaven Live 1977

"And as we wind on down the road, our shadows taller than our soul"
I loved this review of the best rock song I've ever heard...this was our anthem of the 70s...it is a game changer listening with good headphones rather than in a car radio...Jimmy said that while practicing the song Robert sat in a corner for 45 minutes and had written all the lyrics...they then recorded it in 3 takes.
Great Reaction! What your feeling is an "Epiphany" Music has a way of doing that!
Thank you enjoyed your reaction
From 1973 until 1999 this was the #1 requested FM radio song in the United States, each and every year it was top of the list.
This goes into the Rock and Roll Bible as a great hymn.
and everywhere else!
the 60s and 70s has so much really good music
Now you must watch Heart’s tribute to Led Zep performing Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center in D.C..
Better late than never. Really like your reactions.
Back then many of us heard this and other great music mainly on the radio while we went about our lives. At some point I really listened properly and was blown away.
Hi guys again, there has been so so many brilliant, fantastic Songs in our era, Stairway To Heaven has to be the ultimate best song ever Peter
