@@christoffesedao3579What? You sound like you’ve taken entirely too much acid. “Communing with the spirits”, is that the new “sold his soul to devil” lol? I’m not against spiritual beliefs, but that is just nonsensical buddy.
I "experienced" this song when I was about 8 years old, in 1974. It totally blew me away along with the entire album. I've been a Zeppelin fan ever since.
Led Zeppelin made great music. Their B side songs were just as worthy as their A side classics. Listen in order from the first to the last album they produced... all magical. Some songs even envoked their love of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" and had references to the characters and events of those stories.
It’s not my pick, but it’s certainly one of the greatest. The impact of Plant’s lyrics and voice is what really elevates it for me. It’s ethereal, almost medieval, and very powerful. If you’re curious about my pick, it’s probably Love, Reign O’er Me or Behind Blue Eyes by The Who. Beautiful songs, as is Stairway to Heaven!
Enjoyed your reaction and comments Lizzie! I could tell that you were emotionally involved in this song. The entire arrangement of the song is beautifully crafted and masterfully done. A true masterpiece!
Hey Lizzie- One thing that you have to remember is, at the time, this song was like nothing we'd ever heard before. As you heard, the tempo and mood of the song changes 3 times. This is also (I think?) the first song on the radio that was over the normal 2 minute mark. And then.. Page just whailing on the guitar.. I remember back then and I remember being soooo blown away by this song!
Two thumbs up girl, that's how you review a song! You let the song build, and develop, perfect! What you may not know is that you can review this song over and over people are insane for this song. They played it eleven times in a row on the radio, who does that! I listened to every one one of them!
Best way to discover Led Zeppelin = Start to finish, song by song, track by track, album by album, beginning with 1969's LED ZEPPELIN I, and ending with 1982's CODA. It's a helluva roller coaster, and they never had one bad song. Greatest rock band of all time!
I enjoyed your reaction, Lizzie. This is Led Zeppelin’s masterpiece. This song will remain in the history of music as one of the best songs in the world for eternity.
An iconic group, iconic song. One of the greatest songs ever. Heart did a phenomenal cover at the Kennedy Ctr I believe in 2012. It was a tribute to Led Z. which were in the audience. Must see!!
Wow, beautiful reaction and thank you for not pausing. Waiting until the end of the song to react so you can appreciate the music and the artist is just the right way to do it. Love it, thank you.
Well now you have completed two thirds of the Stairway to Heaven journey .. the last part of the journey is Stairway live from MSG 1973 .. It's a must .. Rock on Lizzy ❤
Your reaction said it all. The song was a part of you and you understand the emotions it conjures up and you are the BEST EVER and my now favorite reaction vid person for not stopping it for comments during the song . Any other song whatever, fine, but not this one. YOU ROCK!
The Greatest Band in the History of Rock. In and out of the studio, it’s only been the 4 members! Intellectual Songwriting, Master Musicians, Performance Perfection! Marathon is a must. Studio first, then live when you can!
Props for NOT pausing. A+ reaction. Glad you loved it. This song is older than you! 50+ years old. Just think how AWESOME it was when the album dropped! Headphones and crank it up!
To think that this song is over 50 years old and it still has an impact on those who listen to this song. Can please request you listen to "The Lemon Song" by Led Zeppelin? You are very pretty Lizzie.
Wonderful reaction to one of the greatest rock songs ever delivered by the 4 rock gods of my youth. Idk if it still holds the title or not but this song was the most requested song ever in radio. The band ended with the unfortunate death of their drummer John Bonham in 1980. The 3 surviving members teamed with John Bonham's son, Jason on the drums, for a final concert Celebration Day, in 2007. The originals were approaching their 60s, yet this special concert still generated more advance ticket requests m than any musical performance EVER. Led Zeppelin simply killed it and their concert live performances were incredible. Led Zeppelin was THE band of the 70s. The jade knocked the Beetles from the throne of the album charts, who themselves had dethroned Elvis from the music charts. Robert Plant- lead vocals, Jimmy Page-lead guitar & founder, John Paul Jones-bass guitar, keyboards & John Bonham have to be the greatest 4 artists in a rock band. Highly suggest you react to: When The Levee Breaks, Kashmir, Custard Pie, In My Time of Dying, The Rain Song, anything by LZ. Heavily influenced by Blues, Jazz, folk and of course, rock & roll.
Hi Lizzie!!!!❤❤❤ I play this song all day long on March 13th... It's the day after my best friend died in a car accident.... 😢😢😢❤❤❤ She died March 12th, 1993... When I found out she had died the next morning, from a phone call, I went in my room ,and balled my eyes out, and listened to this song all day.... Stairway To Heaven is considered the Greatest Rock song of All-Time... I concur with that thought.... War Pigs by Black Sabbath at #2, and Highway To Hell with Bon Scott on vocals with ACDC a close 3rd.... Gotta listen to those other 2 songs Lizzie... You will thank me later.. Have a great day, Lizzie..❤❤❤❤❤
Please listen to "When the Levee Breaks" next! It's my favorite Zeppelin song. HUGE Bonzo fan - he was the drummer, John Bonham. Best drummer, ever! Love you, Liz! ❤🦊
Yes Lovely Liz, perhaps the most recognizable, powerful rock song of all time, AND YET, the band HATED THIS SONG! You heard correctly and this all despite the fact that this song is the song that almost everyone attributes to the "Sound of Led Zeppelin". I am pretty sure there are people around the world who know this song even to this day. Iconic. Legendary. Unbelievable. Part of the History of All Time Great Music (and always will be). This song will still be sung and covered 1000 years from now as it is part of our lexicon, our fabric of thinking and what Music really means and makes us feel and understand. Glad you took that moment to hear AND to listen to this Masterpiece. 😀
The band did not hate "Stairway to Heaven", but they did get frustrated that it seemingly overshadowed many of their other masterpieces. Admittedly, Plant did get tired of performing it and he did once say that it had been sung so many times by so many bands that he "learned to just hate that song because everybody murders it."
Jimmy Page has said in an interview that this song was their greatest achievement…. I can see why Robert plant may not be to eager to sing this anymore though
I've always loved when Page goes off on the solo how drums and bass pick up the speed at same time, you really hear it. Great song and great genuine reaction.
If you enjoyed this album cut, I highly recommend watching a live version to see how well Heart covered it. The one I think is best is from their 3 night stand at Madison Square Garden in 1973. Clear video and great sound.
Zeppo were serious business. Some suggestions: for the Gangster - "Custard Pie"", When the Levee Breaks", "In the Light" and "D'Yer Mak'er" ; for the Hippie - "Tangerine", "Over the Hills and Far Away", "Since I've Been Loving You" and "What Is and What Should Never Be". This is a VERY small sample of greats.
There are SO many great Led Zeppelin songs, I would suggest "When the Levy Breaks" , "Since I've Been Loving You" , "Heartbreaker/ Living,Loving Maid. But there are litterally dozens of good ones from these guys.
Hey great reaction to the greatest rock band in history in most people's opinion the mighty zeppelin, I'm a 67year old English guy called Billy, been a fan from aged 12,try not to bore you with to many facts, in your great country every state has a Zeppelin radio station, just zeppelin, this song is the most requested song in history, many people have it at their funerals, I'm going to aswell, right if I can may I suggest you react to what most people would recommend to you, stairway live from madison Square gardens new York, since I've been loving you from the same show, and lastly kashmir live from the o2 arena London when they were well into their 70s, amazing song when you think it's live, anyway keep up the great work, take care English Billy.
Lizzie I've seen hundreds of rock reaction videos and YOU are the ONLY ONE who completely gets it. How is this not the most beautiful perfect song ever
Wow what a beautiful and insightful reaction to this much loved song. I've heard it probably 100 times or more...I'm 61! They have so, so many great songs that take you on a ride and touch your soul. To start with I'd say Kashmir, When the levee breaks, Battle of Evermore and Thank you which I think would be in my top ten Led Zep favourite songs but it's so hard to choose! Newly subbed and hi from South Australia :)
"Stairway to Heaven" (1971) is a beautiful song to listen to, for fans of any genre. It's a perfect song for you, Lizzie. There were still some remnants of the 'Hippie Era' around at the 'Haight/Ashbury" in San Francisco.
Great reaction Lizzie to an awesome song that will be listened to for generations to come. I would love to see you do a reaction to Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’, audio version though. Another great song. Even if don’t do a reaction video, do yourself a favor and just listen to it if you haven’t already and use headphones. 😊 Keep it up, you’re awesome!
Led Zeppelin was the greatest rock band of all-time. Pick any song, from any album, or any suggestion because you won’t go wrong. They’re all good. But, if you want to do it right, listen to the 1st song from their first album (Led Zeppelin I), then imagine listening to this new band in 1969 and hearing the 19 year old singer and 19 year old drummer do that!
For me, an old hippie of 68, they were a top 5 band all time and this is a top 5 rock song considering how long it has been respected as one of the great Rock epics ever. If you loved this song as much as it appears then do yourself a huge favor and go to Led Zeppelin 1 and start with the start with Good Times, Bad Times, the first Led Zeppelin song we heard blast out the radio as their first song to be heard. Their first 2 albums are industry standards for hard rock and influenced all heavy bands that came after. For me the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin make up my all time Rock Bands top 5, with the WHO, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen and Eric Clapton (especially his 60s output) the next 5. You cannot go wrong with reacting to or just exploring for your own musical education with these amazing musical artists, you won't regret it and will listen with wonder and awe to some of the very best tunes in human musical history. Enjoy!!! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Loved reading your comment, thank you for sharing. I gotta say, it hurts my heart that The Who aren’t in your top 5, although top 10 is still respectable! They’ve long been my favorite. I’d put Zeppelin in my top 10 as well, but not my top 5. I guess we flipped them lol
@@allbottledup9513 I hear you on the WHO, they, Zeppelin and Floyd in my mind are tied for 4th, they are so good, it is my mood that would rank one above the other. Also, for this oldtimer, Eric Clapton and what he did through Derek and the Dominoes edges out Van Halen for 10th. I almost would rank the Shenker brothers, Michael and Rudolf, and everything they did (Scorpions, UFO & MSG) above Clapton and Van Halen. Just my personal preference.
Another important fact for you. In Heart’s tribute, the drummer is Jason Bohnam, the original Zeppelin drummer John Bohnam’s son. A really good video for you would be: Kashmir - Live from Celebration Day. From 2007, it shows how great Zeppelin still is, and how Jason carries on the talent of his father and, how Zeppelin only had Bohnam Drummers.
Released on their untitled 4th album (often referred to as LZ 4 or Zofo) in 1971. The album sold 37 million copies smashing radio airplay records for decades. Many listeners have tried to decipher these lyrics over the years, and it is rumored that Robert scratched them out on scrap paper in 15 minutes during recording sessions while the band worked out the musical changes! He was 21 years old :) Loved your reaction!
@@eye5856 Yes! My bad on that ... Zoso is Jimmy's symbol and that's what we called it when we were kids! Some also call it "the runes" album! Jimmy asked each band member to select a rune to represent them on the album cover. Robert's is the "Feather". I have read this was in protest to the reviews their 3rd album received, so they decided to not name the 4th album and also not have the band's name appear anywhere on the packaging, which of course drove Atlantic records absolutely mad! But in the end, Jimmy's intuition was correct again as the album is #5 on the US album sales list 52 years later!
Hey lizzy, nice work, this band are unparalleled in their field of music, may I humbly suggest you react to another of their songs entitled “Kashmir”, keep rocking 🤘
Lizzie, one that I think you'll love is Dan Hartman's "I Can Dream About You." If you haven't heard that song, you're going to *absolutely love it!* RIP, Dan. From the movie "Streets of Fire" (which introduced the world to the actress Diane Lane). Blessings!
Young lady this one hit you just like it’s supposed to- we old fellers were listening to this stuff in the 70s when it came out. There’s SOO many more great songs by Led Zeppelin and countless other bands from that time. Check out Kashmir, D’yer Mak’er, and my personal fav Fool In the Rain, or ANY of their music. You will not be disappointed
You've gotta go down the Zep rabbit hole Lizzie! They are a musically intelligent group. Their work is stellar! The gift that keeps on giving! Along this same kind of theme is their song "In My Time Of Dying"! It will blow your mind!
Now you've entered the catalog of music of what many consider to be the greatest rock band ever. Have fun exploring their music 🎵
First time i heard this song was in 1973 when I was 12 years old and I still listen to it, best band ever❤
One of THE BEST no doubt. Don't forget Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire, Fleetwood Mac, U2, Queen, The Who and a few others.
Robert Plant lead vocals, Jimmy Page lead guitar, John Bonham 🙏, drums, John Paul Jones bass and keys. So many great songs from this band!! 😅
So many tragedies and curses suffered in their lives because of their communing with spirits.

Jimmy and Robert call it Zeppelin 4.
@@OutOnTheTiles Fans call it ZoSo or 4
Hey lizzy, nice work, this band are unparalleled in their field of music, may I humbly suggest you react to another of their songs entitled “Kashmir”, keep rocking 🤘
Appreciate this one. Love the hair dew.
Never heard a Zeppelin song! You have to react to "Kashmir"! It's one of their greats!
Lizzie, one that I think you'll love is Dan Hartman's "I Can Dream About You." If you haven't heard that song, you're going to *absolutely love it!* RIP, Dan. From the movie "Streets of Fire" (which introduced the world to the actress Diane Lane). Blessings!
Now react to the live version at Madison Square Garden 1973, its amazing 😊
very wonderfully beautiful reaction
Love your reaction Lizzie.Welcome to the old world.😁
My fav song of all time, period. I think its no 1 in tne Rolling Stone magazine also.
AMAZING SONG LOOKING GREAT LIZZIE
Welcome to Led Zeppelin!
Number 1 song by the number 1 band ever….
Incredible analogy ❤
You've gotta go down the Zep rabbit hole Lizzie! They are a musically intelligent group. Their work is stellar! The gift that keeps on giving! Along this same kind of theme is their song "In My Time Of Dying"! It will blow your mind!
I am so glad I got to see this happen to you. ❤
It's not by accident that this song is considered one the greatest ever.
