I have baked this 4 times. The first time my 16-year old son tasted it, it put a smile on his face. He's a fuzzy eater. I have made it into dinner rolls or a loaf of bread. They came out just as nice. My oven works best with 150 degrees Celsius, baked for 22 minutes. I would suggest you to try out your oven and adjust accordingly. Thanks for posting this recipe. This recipe came handy as the Hong Kong Government banned the unvaccinated from going to Super Markets, Restaurants, Malls etc. So I baked my own bread. Who needs the super market anyway :-). So awesome! Made these more savory and less sweet by *not* adding the extra 1/4c. of sugar with the flour. Rolled into a big rectangle, sprinkle grated cheddar, rolled it up and cut like a cinnamon roll. Brushed with egg, sprinkled a bit more grated cheddar on top and let the buns rise for 30 mins. Thank you so much for your clarification on instant yeast and active dry yeast. I thought they are the same, I never realize they require different cooking technique to get the dough to rise perfectly. Love your recipe.
I tried this recipe, they are sooo good!! I used evaporated milk mix with condensed milk instead of fresh milk. And I cut down the sugar to half as the condensed milk is already sweet. And it turned out really good. Im soo glad I found your video! Thank youu for the recipe!!

These were delicious! My children just kept eating them and asking for more. I made them as rolls on a night that we ran out of bread for Barbecue Chicken Sliders. My daughter and I loved them as slider bread but the Men folks just want Strawberry preserves or peanut butter. They taste great just did not rise as high. I believe my yeast was not that great. I tried this recipe for the first time. I was surprised the rolls came out well. I cut the recipe down to for 12 rolls, used instant yeast, room temp milk since recipe did not indicate milk should be warm, baked at 350 degrees F and used honey butter while they were still hot. Just made these today & it was a big hit with my family! Some tips I have when making these are to make sure your milk is warm, otherwise the yeast won’t activate. Also, if you’re in the United States, don’t forget to convert the temperature to 355 degrees Fahrenheit instead of 180C!!

Mark Justine Tañamor I used instant yeast and mine turned out okay :) I know it said that instant yeast can be added straight up to dry ingredients, but I still mix it the active dry yeast way. Just remember you’d have to convert the right amount. 1tsp of active dry yeast = 3/4 tsp of instant yeast.

I kneaded my dough for many years until I watched a recipe where it was just mixed together covered rose made into rolls rose again. Then baked . No knead. I tried it and they were fantastic. I will never knead again. This recipe is virtually the same one I use it is a good one

So if I'm using instant yeast do I need to make that first wet mixture or just move on. No milk and all that small stuff?
Just add it to the dry ingredients and keep going. Mix the wet ingredients as shown.

Tried this yesterday and it's sooo good.. Super fluffy! Super soft! Not sweet and milky.. The dough is good to knead its not sticky. I don't have to leave it to become less sticky as you said.. And it's yummier and softer the following day. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
BTW i used bread flour instead and baked it for 15mins.

Mark Justine Tañamor I used instant yeast and mine turned out okay :) I know it said that instant yeast can be added straight up to dry ingredients, but I still mix it the active dry yeast way. Just remember you’d have to convert the right amount. 1tsp of active dry yeast = 3/4 tsp of instant yeast.

Tried this recipe and it was so nice, rolls came out so good. This is the first rolls recipe that actually is soft and fluffy.
I think this is the best recipe in my entire life of baking. It turned out so fluffy, the texture is really good. It smelled really good last night when I baked it :")
What flour was used?
I kneaded my dough for many years until I watched a recipe where it was just mixed together covered rose made into rolls rose again. Then baked . No knead. I tried it and they were fantastic. I will never knead again.
This recipe is virtually the same one I use it is a good one

Followed this recipe exactly and I made my first perfect batch of dinner rolls. I literally had a ratatouille moment back to my childhood when I ate them. I added a garlic butter on top after they finished cooling.I froze a few balls for later as well…thanks so much!
