  • Overtime siren unit on Volvo goes bad due to the battery failure and oxidation. Siren issue will trigger the alarm system. Vehicle might have no start condition and some other. Check easy step by step video tutorial how to replace siren by yourself. Thanks.

    Hi mate did this to mine s40 the light on the dashboard still works and I do get the message up every time I start the car thanks for the video helpful

    Hello, what happen if i just disconnect siren connector? I don't want to replace it i just want to disable it forever.

      Hey Rafal! Nothing should happen far as I know. U have never done it. You probable will get ALARM SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED message every tie you start your engine. Yeah, let e know. Cheers!

    hey brother im purchasing a 2008 s40 volvo and when I unlock the car the alarm goes off and for me too offset that I have to put the keys in the ignition.
    I dont want my alarm activated is it what you just did??
    and is it an easy fix???

      Hello Larry,
      Easiest fix for your problem just pull alarm fuse out to deactivate alarm system. It works I tested it on my Volvo. It won't effect vehicle performance. It will set a message "Alarm System Service Required" when you start the car then it goes away. Let me know how it worked out. Cheers Brotha!

    Can't believe that Volvo fitted this thing in the first place , beggar's belief , garbage idea , must have been an off day 😕
