If you don't want to take the chance of attempting to repair a siren which turns out to be unusable, fit a brand new one with this genuine Volvo complete kit. - Авто та транспорт
Becoming a really great resource channel, thanks very much.
Can you give a part number for the batteries or description to buy them off Amazon or a local store? My 06 S80 siren is fried, doesn't sound and everytime lights go off and I get the message to service the alarm. I have a spare of a junk yard. New one over 200 usd plus shipping and duties to Canada
They're usually 7.2V NiMh 320mah

Hi, also in Canada from where did you get the replacement battery? I have gone to Kennys and picnsave but the sirens have been picked over.
Just a quick question, where can i install a boost gauge on my euro 3 D5? I know you can drill into the egr mixer but i would rather not.
If you don't want to drill metal, it will be the short rubber pipe between the EGR mixer plenum and the intake manifold.
@@sirobb Allright. By the way do you have any idea why my car would go into limpmode. Fuel filter, intake hose turbo, air filter changed, cleaned egr and boost solenoids, control valve works, no vacuum leak and the vnt works and holds vacuum
Limp mode will create a code then you just read the code with Vida and it will explain the code circumstances and possible causes and fixes.
There's no point guessing and randomly changing parts if they're not causing a problem.
@@sirobb I agree i just dont have vida to test with and the chaps at Volvo could not find the issue aswell.
Buy Dice and Vida, use it to save time and money then sell it when you're done and get back most of what it cost you.
That's the best advice I can give.
Also if you're paying someone to diagnose your car, they really should be getting results otherwise why are they taking your money?
Does the siren not require programming?
I explain the issue of programming in the video.
