2:35 "but basically the negative lead has come off the battery" and I see indeed the black wire is disconnected from the battery--it only remains connected to the white colored two wire multiconnector. This should answer my question about what terminal to wire up my new battery to the connector, and it would seem as expected: red to (+) black to (-).

Great technique Steven! What's the name of that tool?

Thanks for the video Steven. Do you know if the siren module can be "bench" tested before putting it back to the car?

I would say no. But you can just plug it in to the car loom and test it.

So, this battery inside the alarm unit will be charged by the normal engine starting battery while in service?

I didn't think I would use the multitool much, but as soon as I had it, it just kept coming out for different jobs.

Great video, thanks for sharing, doing my siren now! It's a multi tool, once you have one you'll never look back. Get a battery one if possible, super easy to use anywhere

So, this battery inside the alarm unit will be charged by the normal engine starting battery or generator while in service? Anybody who knows that?

I don't know, but suspected that the battery only charges when the engine is running as sometime the ALARM SYSTEM SERVICE message disappears whilst driving.
