I've had several facials done with the spa using Dermalogica and I LOVE the results. I have been getting regular spa facials done at least once every 2 weeks for over 25 years and I do look after my face at home as well. I am now in my late 40's and get a lot of compliments on my skin and complexion from strangers and professionals. I don't have any age, sun or dark spots. I never get pimples or blemishes and I believe that's because I cleanse my face at least twice a day. I also rarely use foundation which is the reason I get comments about my skin. I have an older sister that has totally different skin look. She has age and sun spots galore. She rarely did any extra effort towards her skin. So I know my skin is young looking because of taking great care of it. So girls if you want to keep your face looking great throughout your life, ALWAYS spend time on cleaning it and using products to keep it healthy. Regardless of your financial means, you can still find cleansers and exfoliating products. Try adding fine grain sugar to your soap and gently exfoliate. A deep cleanser and exfoliation is baking soda. Use what you can afford. It's more important to cleanse and exfoliate.
If you have any product recommendations to keep skin young and healthy please do share! I am 22 and have very fair skin (don't worry I use sunscreen every day) and I wish to keep it looking young and fresh for the years to come.
Special cleansing gel is worth the money!! the ingredients are actually doing great things for your skin compared the the Cerave! that is basically like washing your face with water, it doesn’t do much for your skin!:)
Dermalogica products get most of their scent from the botanicals used in the product. The Daily Microfoliant is mostly rice bran, so that's what you're smelling. You might want to also check out the Precleanse in balm form and the new Clean Water Gel moisturizer.
I too have been going for facial using Dermalogica products for since i was 15 and i am not in my 30 my skin has gotten so much better! everytime i change to other products my face got a flare out but when I switch back to Dermalogica all is good again! Dermalogica is definitely the safest product for sensitive skin.
I love the Active Moist moisturizer because it is so light and absorbs so easily. It doesn't cause me breakouts and is comfortable under makeup. That and the Daily Microfoliant are the only things I splurge on and get from Dermalogica. I like their Pre Cleanse, but it is WAY to expensive for basic oils that I can mix up on my own.
The reason for the "smells" not smelling is because Dermalogica doesn't put fragrance into their products. I love using their products on my clients. You see great results.
About the precleanse. I cheat! I don't wash it off after using the water to turn it milky. I just go ahead and add the special cleansing gel and use my clarisonic brush to get everything good and clean. I think you have a really solid review!
Emulsifying the Precleanse traps all the dirt and pollution, so that you can rinse and clear the way for your cleanser to really clean. You can, however, mix your Daily Microfoliant into to cleanser and save time there.
It would be interesting to see how long a bottle of dermalogica special cleanser lasts you compared to your normal CeraVe cleanser. I mean you even said the smallest amount is all it takes, I personally use dermalogica special cleansing gel and I agree with you that the littlest amount is all you need. So if it ends up lasting longer than the CeraVe cleanser I would say the price is worth it just because of the quality of the dermalogica and the way it lasts.. (IF it last longer of course.) Great video!
Ryan Singrossi mine lasts 4 ever! I would say at least three months. You only need a nickel to.quarter sized squirt. I'm on my 4th bottle in 4 years but I stretch it out and don't use it every day like I should
Ryan Singrossi my 16.9 ounces lasted for over 6 months. All you need is a dime size amount and that is with using it 2x at night (I precleanse with it) and using it in the morning. The pre cleanse is a waste of money. Dermalogica is worth the money.
Ryan Singrossi oh ok I just been using coconut oil or another oil as a oil cleanse and I think it works better and it’s cheaper. I heard cera ve is good but I’m too afraid to change because my skin is really sensitive and I hate set backs lol
I just finished up another bottle of the pre-cleanse. It's SO good! I also just finished a couple other products and my wallet isn't going to be happy when I have to go repurchase everything 😭😂
the special cleansing gel is definitely worth it... cerave is cheap crap.... these products have great ingredients and changed my skin... cerave gave me dry peeling skin and I have oily skin!!
When the special cleansing gel is just a sulfate cleanser with irritating essential oils haha, and Cera Ve is fragrance free and has amazing ingredients like ceramides and Niacinamide, hence why her dermatologist recommended it
Brad Deprise well you clearly know nothing about dermalogica, as they do not have sulphates or any essential oils in any of their products, nor do they have artificial colourings or fragrances. Do your research. That’s why dermalogica is 1# in skincare, because it’s sulphate, paraben free & vegan
I had never used Dermatologica before but I saw a video where the girl used this primer and she just raved about it. The other age smart Skin perfect primer with SPF 30. It's awesome certainly blurs out takes the edge off redness and pigmentation with a matt effect. I do find it can be too matt when I apply my foundation but when I switched to Garnier BB cream over the top it was the perfect combination. It makes your make up stay on all day at work (with foundation) but on weekends I would use a tinted moisturiser barely need any powder apart from under the eyes. I found the Dermatologica tinted moisturiser coupled with the Skin perfect primer was to matt looking but you can mix match your other products to get the perfect effect. Also when you take this stuff off at the end of the day my skin looks good like it has a little treatment in it or something. I actually like the daily moisturiser with SPF, the other moisturiser I was told I could use at night but it wasn't rich enough. The cleanser did nothing for me, I would rather put my money into a moisturiser or treatment. I have so many other wash off cleanser's , cleanser can only do so much. Although I do believe the brand has good ingredients for healthy skin but pricey, need to pick and choose the product that is really going to make a difference for you.
All their products a little goes a long way! Its worth the money.. I WISH Hydablure Primer was bigger though,,,also they have lip/eye serum that works better than the eye cream you have..At least for me. They used to sell foundation and tinted moisturizer and I cannot find it now....It was so nice!
I have clogged pores and blackheads will this clean my pores my skin isn’t bad I just wanna make it glowy and clean because I’ve been trying to remove my blackheads
I’m a little late and just found your video. Just a little recommendation for the pre cleanse. After you massage it all over your face, wet your hands and massage some more to create a milk and then wash it off. :)
You need to try their refining mud mask, it is amazing. Now im looking at reviews pn their other products. My dad gave me a sample pack of the mask now im obsessed.
It would be best to go see a licensed esthetician to get a personalized prescription. Dermalogica now has spa rooms/pods in Ulta stores and has 20 minute MicroZone treatments that allow you to focus on one main concern, get a good skin analysis, and work out a plan of action. MicroZone treatments in Ultas are $29 in the Atlanta, GA area.
Are you asking for advice on overly active sebaceous glands? Sebaceous hyperplasia is usually an over active sebaceous gland under the surface of the skin. You might see a donut shaped small raised bump as sebaceous hyperplasia. That can only be removed by a dermatologist and can leave a scar. If you have overactive sebaceous glands, I can help pinpoint and fine tune your skin regime. Message me on my beauty page. @beautybyjoy2 on Instagram or @beautybyjoyp on Facebook. I'm a licensed advanced esthetician
Great review! You deserve more subscribers. I shower at night so I always remove my makeup in the shower. Neutrogena just discontinued the One Step Daily Cleanser which I have used for years to remove my makeup so I'm back in the market for a one step makeup remover/ cleanser. I still use Clinique liquid facial soap after I remove my makeup.
Dermalogica doesn't use any extra perfumes or fragrances. The microfoliant is amazing and smells kind of like baby food but it WORKS. Amazing product. Gentle and does the job

absolutely love precleanse, daily micro, photo oil, and hydrablur primer! all are worth the money/investment!
Totally agree! I just put the phyto oil on as a matter of fact (:
Special cleansing gel is worth the money!! the ingredients are actually doing great things for your skin compared the the Cerave! that is basically like washing your face with water, it doesn’t do much for your skin!:)
i uses Special cleansing gel for years, and switch to Cerave, and i decided to switch back. they are just no dupe for the Special cleansing gel

Same. Been using dermalogica for 20 years. When I stop using it my skin immediately falls apart. I always come back to dermalogica.

Nails By CharleneR theyndo put a lot of essential oils which is pretty much fragrance

Haha it's not cheating if you're still double cleansing! I haven't tried that before, but now I'm tempted. Thanks for watching (:
Emulsifying the Precleanse traps all the dirt and pollution, so that you can rinse and clear the way for your cleanser to really clean. You can, however, mix your Daily Microfoliant into to cleanser and save time there.

S. C. Im not a fan of the precleanse either. Im going to try the CeraVe next though.
Ryan Singrossi oh ok I just been using coconut oil or another oil as a oil cleanse and I think it works better and it’s cheaper. I heard cera ve is good but I’m too afraid to change because my skin is really sensitive and I hate set backs lol
8.4oz should last you at least 6 months and the pump size bottle is easily a year supply of Special Cleansing Gel. She must have money to burn.
Love the pre cleanse and the active moist! I put a little of their spf booster into the active moist every morning and put on my face! LOVE!!!!
I just finished up another bottle of the pre-cleanse. It's SO good! I also just finished a couple other products and my wallet isn't going to be happy when I have to go repurchase everything 😭😂

@@brooklynsavage1085 no it isn't lol. It literally has SLS as the second ingredient in the Special Cleansing Gel.
Cerave is gentle on skin as well as cetaphil however, it can be pore clogging after repeated use.

I also don't care for pre-cleanse products because it feels like a hassle. Dynamic skin recovery is great for drier mature skin.
Loved the video. It’s good to always double cleanse

All the products are amazing. I use all of them

How's our skin now? Do you use only dermalogica?
Never ever use a wipe. It moves the dirt around your face. A wash cloth ams warm water...
I’m a little late and just found your video. Just a little recommendation for the pre cleanse. After you massage it all over your face, wet your hands and massage some more to create a milk and then wash it off. :)
can dese be used on sensitive oily acne prone skin
Nice thorough review! Thank you! :)

What cerave face wash do you use
Which one of them exfoliate skin ?
Microfoliant, the powder she said was in her shower
I like them, but I hate going to sephora, they assume everyone is a thief, I stick to kiehls store or Aveda where it's like a family
they sell precleanse wipes!
@ Sarah,
Can u pls recommend any "dermalogica" or any other best product for sebaceous hyperplasia?

I know what you mean by the smell of the microfoliant. I finally realized what it smells like...rice baby cereal. Gross...but it works !
Great review! You deserve more subscribers. I shower at night so I always remove my makeup in the shower. What replaced the Dermogica Stress Relief treatment Oil?
Angel Sievert its still a thing
Great. Some of them i won't be getting of course. But some i will be, i just wanted to find out if they're worth the price.
What cleaner do you use? Sarah. What
My microfoliant has no smell
Ohhhh that makes me feel like maybe mine wasn't good then. EEK!
Mine smells kind of like flour. I really like the scent for some reason.
charlie3069 good skincare is skincare which doesnt have fragance/perfume at all, it mean no smell...!And that is great!!!
Dermalogica doesn't use any extra perfumes or fragrances. The microfoliant is amazing and smells kind of like baby food but it WORKS. Amazing product. Gentle and does the job
Definitely has a smell...but love the product
Can you do a beginners like very beginners eyeshadow. I always struggle to follow tutorials
That's actually on my list of video ideas to film. I've gotten a lot of requests for it so I'll be doing it soon!
Yes cleanser is pricey
Aveda is nicer
And how long did you use these products?
I've been using them for almost a year now and still love the products that I said I liked in this video (:
Make up wipes are very bad
All over the hole video SO, SO, SO! XDD
? As rude as the Americans in this thread.
