I’m also an ‘82 vintage, but never really had a skincare routine 😬
I’m so glad I came across your channel recently, your information regarding products is fantastic and so helpful! I’ve gotten quite a few of your recommendations and my skin feels so much better already, and I know the visible change will take some time ⏰ but I’m looking forward to it!

I'm 24 and a huge skincare buff, LOVE love love this video. You look no day older than 32 max! But I HATE when ppl use the term "baby botox" or "preventative botox" to downplay this procedure or making it look like you ain't doing a whole lot. But no matter the units every botox treatment is a full blown treatment and it's ALWAYS preventative.

Sephora skin care rep directed me to the caudalie vinyl serum when I asked for vitamin c and she said it’s the only one that has the ability to penetrate skin , she said she wouldn’t recommend anything else for vitamin c. I was wondering how much of that would me correct though. Also wondering how the Sunday Riley compared to the caudalie. Between you are beautiful and your skin looks so good. You look great. Your skin looks like you take great care in it. Have you had any procedures done? Botox, eyebrow lift, fillers? Or do you recommend any type of facials, microneedling, microdermabrasion Or light therapy? I’m curious because those things also make a big difference when it comes to fine lines and deep lines And I was considering getting Botox between my brows but I have heard mixed reviews about long term side effects of repeated Botox on the brain since it is a chemical.

I had to ask the question, why is it that we are using SPF more than ever before yet there is more skin cancer? It's weird right? well..anyways...something to consider in your reading. So, like you I have extremely dry skin as well as semi-mature skin (I'm 41). And I also love Drunk Elephant and use several of their products! One that I like is the C-Tango eye cream. However, I have not yet tried their new eye cream, Ceramighty AF. And while I love DE, my budget won't allow me to buy two of their eye creams! So, my question is, which one would you recommend for someone like me, at my age and with skin like mine? The C-Tango- which I've already been using for months and I really like- or the newer Cereamighty AF eye balm?
    Thanks so much in advance!

@@xtian384 Depending on the oil, that is actually the correct way to layer skincare products. Caroline Hirons (among many others) has always recommended oil before moisturizer. But from my own research, it basically depends on the oil. Some oils are very heavy and should be applied last. Others are lighter and have smaller molecules and should be applied before moisturizers. Vintner's Daughter is an example of an oil that always goes on BEFORE moisturizer. Also May Lindstrom's and DeMamiel's oils go on first. You just need to do your research with each product.

@@andie1508 in relation to this issue, there are two major types of oil: carrier and occlusive. If it’s a carrier oil, you and Miss Hirons would be correct. But this contains both types of oils, so no, you both are incorrect and wasting your money. Specifically, as you should know by your own “research”, jojoba oil is a very well known sealer.
Also, Miss Hirons is the same “expert” that says that, if you rub your product on your palms too long it’s going to be wasted because absorbed by your hands, which is impossible since your palms don’t have pores. And she’s supposed to be a “SkIn EXpErT”. Good luck with that.

@@xtian384 wow, got a very unexpected dose of hostility there. Where's it coming from?
FWIW, CH's recommendation about not rubbing products unduly in your palms before putting them on your face has more to do with wasting products. And yes as anyone can test at home, our pore-less palms can absolutely accept and hold onto skincare products like oils, serums, creams, etc.

@@andie1508 Hostility is in the eye of the beholder.
Just giving you information based on actual research. Do whatever you want of it. Your waste is not my problem. Jojoba still remains a sealer and will prevent Protini to get absorbed. Wanna waste $70? Go ahead.
As per CH"s issue, try and rub hand cream on your palms, and see how long it takes to get actual ABSORPTION without them remaining slippery and greasy.
      Good luck with your "research".

      The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser
      Inkey PHA Toner (at night)
      Avene RetrinAL
      C.E.O. Glow Vit C +Turmeric Oil
Olay Pro-Retinol Eye Treatment (already had this, going to try your recommended next)
      Clinque Moisture Surge (morning)
Clinque Moisture Surge Overnight Mask (night)
I already had the clinque, so going to finish those and then try your recommended product.
I wasn't taking care of myself at all and it's amazing that giving myself this attention has turned back the clock. I really do look more youthful, and I feel pampered.
The info you gave in your video helped tremendously!

I am 46 and I also think that age is just a number. People always think that I am much younger, I guess it's also our state of mind, we don't think of getting old that's why we don't get old as fast as those who always complain " omg I am sooo old" 😄Recently I've visited a cosmetologist to get an opinion about my skin condition and she told me, that it looks better than many 30 years old women which I wasn't really expected 🥰she asked me if I had botox on my face - the last time I tried botox just on my forehead was like 14 years ago 🙃your skin is so beautiful, like 25 year old girl ❤

I suffer with very pink skin no matter what I use. But these products I have been using which is half of what you use, my skin feels really good and really smooth:)

Hi, you have beautiful skin! I have some questions :
Can you also use the eye creams you suggest here, over your eyes at your eye lids? I do not have any problem area under my eyes, but need more "protection" over my eyes, on my eye lids. Also, I have never used products with acids before, as I have read that they can make your skin layers from within more thin over time. Is that correct? I have very good skin, and only use natural oils, like pure olive oil, pure jojoba oil, pure argan oil etc, but I become very curious about your routine and you seems to have so much knowledge about ingredients :)

Let my story be a warning to you. 30 years ago (I'm now 47), I bought an eye cream. I was still in high school. I applied it under my eyes as well on my eyelids. Big mistake...my oil and sweat mixed with the eye cream on my eyelids and seeped into my eyes. To make a long story short, the oil glands (in my eyes) became damaged, and I was diagnosed with meibomian gland disorder. When the correct opthamologist finally diagnosed me (over 2 decades ago), he said I have the eyes of a 90 yr old:(
If you are concerned about your eyelids drooping, you can always get a mild laser on them down the road.

First of all: You have awesome skin! Beauty brands would never want to talk about how simple lifestyle changes can rejuvenate our skin. My issue is the way you promote the products is if you were an expert. But you clearly are not. No offence. Biomechanical engineering does not make you a dermatologist unfortunately. It requires deep dive into all the aspects regarding the ingredients. I just believe it's dangerous to promote products in a way that make viewers buy them without questioning much. And I embarrassed I am one of them. Because of your video I bought C.E.O Glow and now I have rashes all over my face and neck and my face looks like it's burnt, and all the itching. (I did not want to admit it in my original response but whatever). I then did some research and found out that I am not the only one experiencing this symptoms. For some it works, some however get significant rashes and burnt-like red face and itching that can last for weeks. You then say you avoid fragrance / Linalool, limonene etc. but these two are actually in C.E.Glow and not just towards the end of the ingredient list but in the middle which is an unusual amount. And when you research the side effects of linalool you will not only come across skin irritations but also that a high amount can lead to cancer. So when you claim that "all the ingredients in it are wonderful" and claim you do avoid fragrance though it is high up in the CEO Glow you, indicating fragrance therefore is not contained in CEO Glow then I could actually sue you now. The other products you recommend: All of them contain ingredients that actually weaken the skin barrier. It would be therefore great from a consumer protection aspect (as well as avoiding being sued) to emphasise that this is what works for you and that you are not a dermatologist, meaning you have no authority in defining whether ingredients are actually "wonderful".
