Thanks for the fix. Pulled out a huge, nasty clog, and that did the trick! As another poster noted, I wish I would have found out about this fix months ago. Kept cleaning the filter and it would work for a day, then fill up with water again. This definitely worked for me.

You’re tha man. I’ve been struggling with this Whirlpool for two hours and tried everything under the hood, would not drain.
Read the manual and did , checked and rechecked all the steps with no success.
Finally I’m like, there has to be something on the tube and very page, third video from the top, I click , watch and what you know.

Worked for me! There are many other problems that could cause no drainage, but this is a great 1st step. We had a glass break in the dishwasher. Thought we got all glass out, but 2 months later, no drainage. When I pulled the cap of drainage part like video showed, I found 10 more chunks of glass all wedged in. removed and all fixed.

Thank you so much!! I tried vinegar and baking soda followed by hot water after about 10 minutes. Then I tried checking the pumps impeller to see if there was any kind of blockage there, then I even put a little bit of compressed air through the line which seem to help but I didn't even check this to see all the crap that got pushed out. Thank you so much my dishwasher drains just fine now

This was definitely part of my problem. The water here is very hard. There was a ton of limescale buildup throughout the whole washer and the drainage system. Once I had de-scaled the filter, glass catch, everything around the impeller, it was still not draining properly at all. I could hear some water draining through the disposal, but not much at all. That's when I found this video and unscrewed the cap on the air gap (mine doesn't clip on) and the whole tube was filled with pieces of limescale that been coming loose and filling up the drain tubes for who knows how long. Now it works great. Doesn't hurt that the washer is as clean as it can be either. Thanks for the useful info!
