The vase is a container for salad dressing or for oil and vinegar. That high cheer was adorable😊 The afghan is so pretty! I've thrifted several afghans that i just love! Short and quick, but nice finds!!
*It is actually a vintage Good Seasons Salad Dressing Mixer Bottle that came with the dried Good Seasons Salad Dressing Mix. You would add ●WINE● (NOT Water 😉 LOL!), Vinegar and Oil to the Bottle along with the dried Salad Dressing mix and shake it all up and serve with your salad. You're right; many homemakers used this mixture to marinate steaks and chicken, too. 😊*
*The W is NOT for Water, it stands for WINE, LOL. 😊 It is a vintage Good Seasons Salad Dressing Bottle that came with the dried packet of Good Seasons Salad Dressing Mix and you added Vinegar, Wine and Oil to the bottle and then you added the dried ingredients and gave it a good shake and served it with your salad. 🥗 This was before any bottled Italian Salad Dressing was available in the grocery stores; I remember well making this salad dressing for my family. Many homemakers also used it as a marinade for steak and chicken, too. 😊*
that small hammered metal bowl you wished was copper: you know it would take little effort to paint it copper. better yet, use the rusting patina paint on it.
The knitted quilts were in nice shape. IMO the sweet rocking bunny could be saved. either trace the shape of the unbroken piece and replace the broken spot with it or cut the other rocker ends off to make them the same. A little sanding, a little paint .... Wah La! Julie, you being your authentic, unique self, with fun video content, makes your vids so much more inspiring and enjoyable than many other channels that lose their authenticity along the way.
Oh my gosh! I'm glad you stayed longer. I would have gotten several of those purses. You could have aired them out. They were beautiful! Thank you for taking us.
I finally got to go treasure hunting. We hit an estate sale that had everything you can imagine cobalt blue!!! I got tea pot wall pockets, a fish planter, bowls, pillows, and other stuff I CA t remember. 😄 Then we went to a moving sale where I found more blue bowls!😄 Then we hit the city and went thrifting. Got some flowers and ribbon on clearance at HL. We found a new thrift store AMVETS. Nice clean and well organized
The vase with the white lid was vintage salad dressing shaker bottle The “W” is for water, The “V” is for vinegar and the “O” is for oil … it’s the shaker that was sold back in the day with Wishbone Italian dressing
*Debbie, you are close, LOL! This bottle came with the dried seasoning packet of Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Mix. This was before ANY bottled Italian Salad Dressing was sold in grocery stores. 😊 The V stands for Vinegar, the W stands for WINE, NOT Water, LOL, and the O is for Oil. 😉 I remember making this many times for my family. 😁 It was all the rage as a new invention for the kitchen. Up until then, most women had 2 cruets - one used for oil and one used for red wine vinegar and each were poured over the salad bowl and the herbs and spices were sprinkled over the salad and then everything was tossed together and the family was served from the large salad bowl. When Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Mix came out back then, many homemakers also used it as a marinade for steak and chicken, too. 🥰 YUMMY❣️*
With bent candles like those giant ones you showed just allow them to get warm but not hot and roll them back and forth on a hot, smooth, clean sidewalk like a rolling pin for a few minutes and they will straighten out.
*The W is for WINE - as in Red Wine - NOT Water, LOL. 😊 This was a new invention for the kitchen. Back then there were no bottled Italian Salad Dressings available in grocery stores, so Good Seasons invented a dried Italian Seasoning Packet that came with the mixing bottle. It was all the rage, and I made it for my family many times. Many homemakers also used it back then as a marinade for steak and chicken.😊 YUMMY‼️🥰😁*
Where is this Goodwill that has this style of bins? It's like the Dig and Save in Madison WI. That one is the end of the line for area St. Francis thrift stores. It's my favorite place.
On the Destin video, the blue& White Cover on the chair was a STARFISH, the little choir boy is "made in Japan, no company name, and I's nit badly mistaken the long stick with fabric on it looks like an old fashion window shade that one pulled down at night. Didn't get a good look at it.
Isn't there some way of getting rid of the moth ball smell? Doesn't it dissipate over time? I would have loved to scoop up all those vintage purses myself. TFS & God Bless...
*Close, Julia - Oil, Vinegar and WINE (NOT Water, LOL! 😊) Good Seasons dried Italian Seasoning Mix packets came with the mixing bottle, as it was a new invention. No bottles of Italian Salad Dressing were available in grocery stores back then. I made it for my family A LOT. 😉 Homemakers back then used it as a marinade for steak and chicken, too. YUMMY❣️🥰😋*

Julie-you need my phone number for when you're at the bins...or I just need to write a book for thrifters! That moth ball smell will go away. Spray the items with a mixture of 91% rubbing alcohol and water and put them out in the sun for the day....if it's still there-repeat. Still there? Put each item in a freezer zip lock bag and some activated charcoal. Get activated charcoal in a pet store with the fish tank supplies. Those vintage beaded purses can be worth hundreds of dollars. Go back and get them!!!

It’s so obvious that you don’t cook by the way you don’t know what measurements are when you see them on containers. But you are not the only thrifter who is like this! But it does make me laugh! Most of you young girls are like this and I say young because I am 70.
She doesn't know what alot of things are .. not sure where she grew up at or was not expose to alot of things in life...or was that generation kept in the dark...
Stop this! You are taking these goods away from the poor people! You obviously don’t need money. You are either unaware of what you’re doing or you’re just plain evil!
The thing you said would make a good vase is a dressing container. It tells you how much oil & vinegar to add then you shake it up!!🥰
Vintage for sure.
@@pattig2750not vintage they literally sell them at the grocery store with the dressing mix

Thank you for calling it an “afghan” instead of blanket. My mom crocheted a lot and made the chevron pattern a few times.
The wood with fabric is to stitch your cross stitch fabric on to put it on a stretcher for stitching.
The vase is a container for salad dressing or for oil and vinegar. That high cheer was adorable😊 The afghan is so pretty! I've thrifted several afghans that i just love! Short and quick, but nice finds!!
The W & V & O on the Glass Jar are for:

You can still purchase Four Seasons salad dressing cruet and the seasoning packets. I just bought from my local grocery around 4 years ago...
Those bent plantation candles would be great for a Halloween Haunted House.
Or put in warm water and reshape straight
Can you please go back and get those beautiful handbags??? I'm addicted to them!
The Shaw was my favorite
