I don't wish this for anyone...but we've all been there.
Yep earlier i was very scared
But how do you make the puborectal muscle relax??? If it's involuntary, is there anything that can be done?
Hey Doctor, I’d like to thank you for uploading this video and making me aware I’m not alone in my issues.
I’m a high school student and I’ve had a problem arise since about a year ago, where I just get a severe anxiety and panic attacks if I do not have immediate access to a bathroom nearby. This has unfortunately resulted in me using the bathroom excessively (3-4times per day), but also caused me to stop eating at school in an effort to calm my stomach and bowel. I often find myself super frustrated and embarrassed over my issues and this have kept it quiet. I am currently on a routine of taking Omeprazol and using the bathroom 2-3 times before going to school. The problem I have is that rarely I ever get anything out, and if I do, there is still a result of anxiety and panic episodes I get which turn into diarrhea.
If I could respectfully ask, do you know of calming excersies or maybe steps I could take in order to control this anxiety, as it has been affecting my life more and more to the point where I am fearful of eating out with friends and family, aswell as the fear of a bathroom not constantly being available.
Thank you so much for your time Doc, have a great day.
You’re such a cool Dr. and I can tell that you genuinely care about not only your patients, but for your UA-cam subscribers as well. Thank you for all the information. I wish more Dr.s were like you.
My name is jamie Hand, I have been having health anxiety since 2003. I have feeling trapped with this problem. I have been suffering also with panick attacks for many years now with no hope.
Thank you thank you I thought I was losing my mind
Oh this was what was happening. This video was very helpful. Wish you were in jamaica.
I’m literally crying right now. Becoz this is been going on for a month. My son use to get full blown panic attacks from ages 4 to 6. Now i know how he feels
How did you sort it?😢 I’m at the same stage unfortunately
@@gonulcanseverkapar9677 i started to do anxiety dancing exercises b4 hand. Let out the pent up energy. Also started taking Magnesium Glycinate. Small doses. Like i open the capsule and put half into a drink.
oh poor baby! PRAYERS SISTER! LORD PLEASE HEAL AND BLESS HER SON BRING HOM THE PEACE TO HIS BODY AND MIND THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING IN JESUS CHRISTS NAME AMEN ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@gr8daysue838 thank you
@@gonulcanseverkapar9677 i've sorted it out by working on my anxiety before i go toilet.
If you have a footstep put your feet on it when using the bathroom I am just now figuring it out that helps a lot and keeps you relaxed
Im try it and its work 👍😊🎉
I’m trying to break myself from this now. I ended up with tight rectal muscles and dyssengernic defecation. Hemms, fissures etc. it’s a long story. Thanks for helping me on my journey to get better.
How do you get through it?
@naturegirl4047 How much of a progress have you made? I'm dealing with the same issue and it's difficult.
Thank you for this video doc. How can I relax and not have anxieties before a bowel movement? You have been so informative wow thank you so much! And do you recommend anything for the burning sensation on fissures?
You are so welcome. I do have a video on anal pain strategies - please check it out. For the burning, you can try recticare which is over the counter.
I had a fistula and i was terrified of going the loo
I wake up dreading to go. I don’t want to eat. 😢
Me toooo it's horrible :(
I am the same way I don't like even eating anymore because my stomach and hemmroids and stress I have social anxiety disorder and ptsd it's the worst part of the day waking up and going
@@Josh-eo9xj I am so sorry. I’ve done a lot of work to try not to feel this way. It’s 50/50. Depends on how it/I go 🙄
I love taking a poop but i was in so much pain and so sore im afraid to finish 😭
Hey doctor Chung, I’m from Australia and have been suffering from a fissure for months now and I’ve had Botox. I can relate to this video, every time my bowels open my body and anus tenses up, I pretty much fight the urge to poo. I really need help doctor it’s been months, all my surgeon said was take extra fibre but it’s not helping, thanks doc keep up the great content 👍🏻
I can relate.
Omg i’m in Australia too, Melbourne. Did you find relief? Did u see another Dr?
I sweat and then i get chills then nausea. I am 115 i cant lose no more weight.....i hate this im not taking anything to cause these i hate anything that makes my heart race! I do not understand people that do AT ALL.!
I have ptsd because one day at school I didn’t get to the bathroom, now I have anxious pooping every time I leave home (I feel the constant urge to go)
I’ve noticed my anxiety kicks in about 10 minutes before I even feel the need to use the restroom, I usually calm it down with pepto or alka seltzer since anxiety effects the way your stool comes out (watery)
Also use stress tea by yogi that saved me from constantly using benzos on every major panic attack
That happens to me too!! It's as if my body preparing for a bm causes panic attacks
Bro can I have your contact i want to talk with you with this issues
Yes, I deal with this same thing! How do we calm it?
@@kaylaberry7983 Eat less heavier, avoid things that always upset our stomach, sit down cross legged and shift your body in circles to aid digestion. I always use yogi stress tea when my anxiety kicks in hard. I survive
I don't even take bezos but I would right now in a heartbeat!👍
I have ptsd and I am always scared I have a blockage
In your heart or gut?? I took all kinds of things for my stomach all day yesterday. It's 5:00am I'm so tired...
Heat rate goes up…
Mine tooo!! Really high sometimes 😭😭
@@lilianwal2385 I’m so sorry…
Me too its so awful
Wow, I learned a lot! Thanks, Dr. Chung! Do you have a video about the best way to have a bowel movement? I have found this physiotherapist's video very helpful:
ua-cam.com/video/QDk93cvZAuk/v-deo.html
Michelle Kenway has also helped me finally learn to do Kegels properly! She also has a video for men on Kegels. Between you and Michelle I'm getting in great shape down there!
Michelle is awesome!
I keep getting this problem randomly. Isn’t nice at all. I normally take antihistamines meant to work.
