Struggling with hemorrhoids for 25 years , finally through weight training muscles around the area. Making the blood flow to those areas instead of the hemorrhoids is giving me control back. Also I’m retraining my self how to stand and walk using different muscle groups. Also have been stretching a lot.
These techniques are truly working for me.
It’s a tremendous amount of work but worth every second of it.

It is so very hard to disconnect with pain, but even for a few moments here and there, it builds up for a better state of mental health and life in general. A friend of mine said, half jokingly, that I'd been diagnosed with hypochondria the other day. It spun me out a little, certainly made me think if he was actually right. I think the problem is that it's a condition of increments, and it's very common for people to deal with them on one level or another. I've had two bad episodes lasting a year or so each where I was in terrible agony, and then fifteen years where it was all just a very inconvenient annoyance. I guess most people only get to the pretty bad annoyance stage so when you tell them how it's limiting your life so much they think you're over-reacting considering they've had the same problem and it wasn't that bad. You can't exactly pull down your pants to show them! I'm not sure what the right thing to do is as far as talking about it. If you're in a bad episode and have to run your life around it it's hard not to explain why you're behaving as you are to people that are affected. But I have some sympathy with people not wanting to know about your health problems. Hope you get better Dr Chung, better times are always ahead, but it's hard to see it when it feels like there's a shoal of piranhas devouring your ass.

    Hi doctor
    I am 33 years old.
In July, due to a low level of iron for more then 8 months, my doctor suggested me to do an upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
I did that and the result of the upper endoscopy was a light gastritis and the colonoscopy was negative.
However the gastroenterologist also wrote that the preparation wasn't perfect and the detection of possible Adenomatous polyps was limited (BBPS 2/2/2). But however the colonoscopy was negative.
On the way back, when removing the scope, they found nothing and just a "Hypertrophy Anal Papilla".
Now, since 4 weeks my stools are really hard (I use to have soft stools) and this causes me internal hemorroides (grade 1) that I treated and for 2 weeks I had no blood.
Today I saw again blood on the stools and in the toilet paper.
Plus, I have pain during and after bowel movements.
I went again to the proctologist that told me that maybe I have fissures now and gave me Nifedipine cream to apply.
    I have some questions now:
    1. Can it be they did not see some polyps?
    2. Do you suggest to do again a colonoscopy because of this bleeding?
    3. I feel like needles in my anus when walking. Is this a sign of fissures or hemorroides?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hello Dr. Chung,
I am from India, can you please help and provide some information.
I had 3rd-degree 4 external and internal hemorrhoids. I went through MIPH + Lesser surgery before 1 month from now.
I have some questions plz provide some information so that other people can also get some help on the topic
After struggle and pain, now I have completed 2 month of surgery:
    1. I still have some kind of pain and inconsistency near or in the butt hole after coming from the potty and this stays there for a long time sometimes all day, I don't feel normal like other people do when they come after the potty.
Why it is happening and when will it go?
    2. They have kept one external hemorrhoid one of the biggest of all 4 i had, I don't know why. The doctor said it will get inactive after some days as they have cut the blood supply for it, in the first week after surgery this one hemorrhoid got swollen and pained in the same way as it use to before surgery, but now after 1 month it's getting better and pain is reducing but why did they keep it in the first place, they could have removed all?
    3. After surgery, I am having gas issues. Every time I sneeze which I repeatedly do because of allergies or every time I cough, gas leaks through the bottom which I can't control, earlier I use to pass gas silently but now it sounds like a big fart because of pressure, it's embarrassing.
    4. Also in MIPH, these statures or stitches or pins used in stitching will automatically come out after healing right? nothing will stay inside right?
I wanted to cure it once and for all. And want to leave a normal and healthy life.
plz let me know your ur suggestions and solutions
    -Yours kindly Subscriber/Follower.

Dr chung can a chronic fissure heal even after a buildup of scar tissure or is a fissurectomy the only chance of getting it to restart the healing, also is there a reason my fissure worsened after i got covid even though i had no constipation, i didnt even have a bowel movement it just started throbbing after the doctor gave me a flu and steriod injection to help with the infection, in fact the pain doesnt feel like a retear but like the bum is sorted of inflammed, and the underlying wound is paining. HELPPP

    • @katarinahagberg5491
      @katarinahagberg5491 Рік тому +1

Hi, Obviously I am not Dr Chung but I have been going through exactly what you have. And your only way is NOT to have have an operation. My feeling was also that the anal fissure was healed but the area was really irritated. So I decided so avoid anything that triggered any feeling of irritatation (it is not really pain any more, right?). Like bending over, sleeping on the right side, sneezing, physical exercise and yes even kegels- The rectogesic was also a major source of irritation for me although it was so hard mentally to stop using it. I am sure you have your own list of what irritates your fissure site. The avoiding that irritated feeling goes against what Dr Chung says but I had to follow my instinct and try it. Gradually the irritation got less and less even though it was tough not being active. Also I got treated for a candida infection that had come from the excessive cleaning with water in the area. Candida is also a major source of irritation. Have your pelvic floor checked. Your anal health depends on it. And yes, infections cause inflammation that in turn makes the irritation worse. I just had a flare due to the stress and changed habits of the holidays and I also had a viral infection which made the whole thing worse. So back to avoiding irritation and destressing in general. Find a way to only poop once per day and in the morning when the anal sphincter is the most relaxed. I am using laxatives and eating less. This makes my BMs regular, not big and soft. Finally, pay attention to your body, the irritation will not go away over night and you will have setbacks, but if in general you are getting better keep doing what you are doing.
