I love, love, love the way you encourage Parvati. It feels sometimes like she's not really used to her opinions and thoughts on things being considered, much less put first and so seeing you encourage her is so sweet.
She seems very intelligent.
Yes, she’s very bright, but has always had to conform to what her “elders and betters” have said. And she’s clearly better than that, and just needs the gentle encouragement to come out of her shell to show that. Hopefully a little longer with this channel will give her the chance to build her own world like she deserves to. Had she grown up elsewhere she might have been a government minister or artist or businesswoman. I hope she still gets that’s chance.
She is such a gentle sweet person,, you are truly expanding her whole world
Yes I find her to be very thoughtful too and I'm always interested to hear her insights and responses :)
I am just watching her now, and I love how she is, how she thinks, and the way she expresses herself. It’s more authentic than anyone I’ve seen in a while. Bless her - she’s just lovely! ❤️
Parvati you should NEVER feel ashamed of your language, your culture, your looks or ANYTHING! I love hearing different languages. I love seeing beautiful faces such as yourself. You should NEVER be ashamed. You are a beautiful woman. You should be VERY PROUD of yourself and who you are. We all enjoy watching you and that smile. You have a way about you that is very good.
I think we all see the beauty in you!
Be so proud that you are who you are.
YOU MATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
In her culture there is a caste-system. She is of a low caste. She and her fellow Bheels are used to this. Its not prevalent in most urban areas but the remnants still linger. Fun fact: it was the Brits who designed the caste system as it was a handy tool to divide and conquer. Belgium did the same to Rwanda, creating a divide between Hutu and Tutsi
@@roddo1955 Pretty sure that its been like this for thousands of years in India so fuck up about blaming Europe, Yeah they did some horrible horrible things throughout history and continue to do so today, but don't put all the blame on Europe when its always been like this for India.
Easy to say from your comfy seat where people aren’t treated like trash just for being born. Her whole life, she has had to be wary of her behavior. Speaking as if she has the freedom to behave however she wants whenever she wants is nothing but ignorance of her reality.
@@roddo1955The caste system is more than 3,000 years old and predates Britain's arrival.
@@roddo1955Brits exploited the caste system but did not design it.
Parvati is amazing and it’s great seeing her become more comfortable on camera, can’t wait to see her more🙌
I didn't realize that the caste system is also part of Pakistan. Does Parvati's caste (or clan) face limitations that will prevent her from moving up in society? How will this affect her daughters? Will they be held back too? What does it mean that she apologizes for being a "Bheel"?
@@donnahalper9110
There are not many Bheel in Pakistan, less than 1%, and they are almost all Hindu.
So I guess it's not easy for them.
About 15 million Bheel live in India, mostly in the west.
Unfortunately I don't know much more about this ethnic group.
@@dadomartincevic1022 There are some videos on UA-cam about the Bheel tribes in Pakistan that are really good, they give great insight into daily life
She has a very lovely name tho
I am a child, descendant of Indians (by way of the West Indies). How my heart hurt when Parvati-bahan said she didn't touch anything because she didn't know how bhaiya would feel - clearly she was speaking according to the caste 'rules' in which she was raised. I know which caste my lineage is from and having been raised with a Guru, born and raised in Canada I confidently say the behavioural stipulations and social regards associated with caste is utter bullshit. I wish my people would remember God never created any human less than any other. That's why I love what you're doing bhaiya - unifying them regardless of gender, disregarding garbage like caste through music and knowledge. 🙏 Much respect to you, Uncles Abdul and Muharam and Parvati-bahan.
Thank you Bahan, we are all humans after all.
Bahan, your remark "God never created any human less than any other." is so eloquent and true. The world would unite if people knew, believed and acted accordingly. Blessings to you and your Loved ones, dear one. (I'm old, so I say "dear one" in admiration. 💕💕
I love how Muharam just enjoys everything. Though he did seem like he was a little bummed that it wasn't going to be a hard rock song. I think we have another Metalhead in the group LOL. Wise Abdul as always. He is very good at interpretation and the wisdom he has is really profound to hear. Parvati, such a beautiful soul. You are doing so great with making her feel comfortable. She is coming out of her shell little by little. You can really see her face light up when she's with her kids too. Adnan, all the work you have put into these videos really shows. Thank you for that. 😎👍
I second that! Well said 👏
I like the way Abdul made sure all parties understood what this 'deal' was. Hahaha. Very diplomatic thoughts. And a unique focus of the 'lore' of the proposal in the song. It's an interesting possible insight into his role in his family and culture.
Abdul Aziz was surprisingly close to the mark when he commented on the need to know the terms of the deal. Ms. Bush took the line "a deal with God" as a reversal of a common English expression, "deal with the Devil," which is about making deals with one's enemies.
Mm. That inverse proposal hadn't occurred to me. Interesting take!
It always makes me sad and angry to see people so uncomfortable because tradition, culture and other people make them think they are "unworthy", no one should feel that way in the world. Be proud of who you are, no-one is perfect, we just try to be the best we can.
So if someone is a pedophile they shouldn't feel bad just because our culture says it's wrong?
@@EsotericOccultist pedophilia isn't a culture. fgm isn't a culture. slavery isn't a culture. Its violence.
@@EsotericOccultist Isn't that different though...doesn't that have to do with harm to children and something that isn't right.
With this, some are saying you are lower than/subhuman, simply because you were born into a certain tribe (or race).
Actually, scratch that....the op said "no one should feel that way", so I get your question.
@@EsotericOccultist her remarks were well said and Not malicious. She wouldn't condone harm and he kind words show her intention, just your taking it too extreme. Be kind.
I love them all but I just love Parvati so much 💝 It makes me so sad that she is ever treated badly by others just for being a Bheel, or that she is oppressed in any way! I want her to know she is loved and cared for and I’m so grateful to you Adnan for giving her this opportunity and letting her know she can trust you and you don’t have those negative feelings against her❤ I also love that you encourage her to use her native language!
Muharam is just such a delightful man in every way lol he seems to have the soul of a child🤗 Abdul has the best voice and who cares if I have no idea what he’s saying, his language is really beautiful and he’s one of those people who when they speak, it means something!
Rockstar comment from a rockstar girl! ✌️❤️😊

@@amyelizabeth529 💝That’s so nice of you, I really appreciate your sweet comments, it means a lot to me 🥰
My sentiment exactly 💯 👌!
I somehow missed this song the first time around.
When I discovered it through Stranger Things, it threw me
into the work of this wonderful woman, and I also realized that
she was the artist who did This Woman's Work. I loved that song
from the movie She's Having a Baby. What a talented woman!💖
That song never fails to make me cry. I think more so because on the show So You Think You Can Dance, there was a performance done with Maxwell's cover of "This Woman's Work" that was gut wrenching to watch but so beautiful at the same time. I can't hear that song without tearing up. So many artists have covered her songs that many times people don't realize that they were her songs. She is such an incredible artist and I'm really glad Stranger Things helped in bringing her back mainstream because her work and artistry, in my opinion, is amazing and I hope younger generations can learn to appreciate it as I did being a child of the 80s.
I've been listening to KB for over 30 years.
DO give the 9th wave a good listen! (it is the "B-side" of hounds of love) - and consists of a set of songs that all are connected into one greater story.
It is odd, strange and different - but so very good!
@@JustTanya. Yes, I cry every time too. My boyfriend was amazed because he thought that Maxwell was the first one.
@@jarls5890 Oh, I most definitely will. Thank you very much.☺
I’m a 90s kid, I love both the Placebo version and the Kate Bush original I would hear on the radio on the school bus
Parvati is so lovely, and the fellas astute as always. She has blossomed a lot in talking about her thoughts.
I love that when you explained to her, “WE don’t think that way.” That made me so happy. I rewatched it, and she looks so much more at ease than she ever has before!!
Sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida United States
Yes, Parvati, please be proud of your language, it is beautiful. I greatly respect anyone who speaks more than one language. I have always found it very difficult to learn a new one. Thank you for these videos to all who work on them and appear in them. Communication between nations and peoples is a great thing to be part of. Peace and happiness to you all from Houston, Texas USA.
Can someone please tell Parvati that about 170k people want to hear her thoughts and opinions on not just the things she's reacting to but on life?
I LOVE this channel. I had to explain to my husband that it was a good thing for me. He didn't like that I (almost) always cry when watching. I love ART and seeing others react to art. Whether the WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL people on the channel approved or dis- approved they looked and listened. I LOVE all of them for that.
Same! I'd struggle to watch this kind of thing round others for that reason, unless they were people I felt comfortable being vulnerable around.
Parvati is my favorite reactor. I hope she knows we all love her and she can speak her language and express herself openly.
she seems more comfortable to speak now. Even if her neighbors talk. They are just jealous perhaps, maybe scared for her.
I absolutely LOVE how the host explained the concept of the song to the listeners. That's a good understanding.
Thank you sir 🤗❤️🌹
Good choice!
Muharam always gets onto music, loved his comments!
The most amazing here is the pure knowledge from someone this young. Just like with Aurora: Not even 20, and touching feelings in ways staying steady into future.
As a huge Kate Bush fan this really warmed my heart! I think they could really appreciate many of her songs, they're always very deep.
her voice is under appreciated. I know se is also a performance artists as well.
How freaking cool is it to say there is an official video version and a live version, accurately describe both, and politely ask the person which they would prefer?
That is really awesome! Thank you for being so thoughtful and polite! Truly.
I love this channel more every time I watch one of your videos.
Interesting discussions and insights as always! I love Kate Bush and she always includes beautiful interpretative dance in her videos. ♥️
This one was great. Parvati had so much to say. And you were helping them all interpret the figurative language and dance - a difficult thing to learn! Excellent.
Very good transitions between the different viewers and videos. Flawless. I love you gave them the choice of which to watch. I wondered if Mr. Abdul would have approved of the style of dance. Muharam was having fun with the music, as always. It is good to hear Parvati has become more comfortable in the studio.
It's beautiful watching Parvati get more comfortable expressing her thoughts, and you encouraging her. ❤️
A lot of people, myself included, also interpret the song as coping with the loss of a loved one. I have often said that I would make a deal with God if I could for him to take me and send my grandmother back, but knowing myself grandma like I did, she wouldn't be happy on this earth without me around as I was her baby and the only one of her 4 grandchildren that she got to know.
Covers the sentiments perfectly. You imagined a deal with god and in that moment you put yourself in your Grandmother's shoes.
To be able to have a conversation with any of the reactors would be such a gift. I wish only strength and liberty for Parvati. She is very thoughtful though I know it is not easy bringing her to the show.
Mr. Abdul Aziz Rind, as usual digs right to the heart of the matter. How can you make a "deal" without considering the consequences? Thank you for sharing your observations. Much love to you, kind sir. Muharam completely understood the song & dance interpretation. Adnan, your hard work shows in your great videos. Thank you.
I love Abdul's wisdom.
If needed, he'd make a fair, understanding leader I think.
I hate to admit that I’m old enough to remember when this song first came out. Glad to see how others interpreted it.
Hey, I remember when it came out too.😊 I'm a child of the 80s so I love Kate Bush.
Same here. And I've always loved Kate Bush.
How wonderful you are. Kate Bush got me through my teen's, I love her. I am also a huge rock/metal fan. I feel Muharam Is too. Sending love from the UK. xx
Kate Bush is one of my all time favorite artists.....This particular song always makes me tear up a little. ❤
Art speaks to our souls, and we all hear something different
1:56 Its funny because in my mother's launguage (Farsi) there's an opposite idiom that says "don't put your feet in my shoes" which is what you tell people when they're getting into your business because it means that your situation sucks and they wouldn't want to be in it.
I love them ALL. I do think my favorite tends to be the man with the white turban. He’s SO WISE. I can feel he has such….. an evolved thinking, intelligence.
I would love to hear him speak about his favorite poems.
THANK YOU for working so well to make sure they understood as they went along every step of the way! Only way the reactions really mean something, if they understand! I feel like Abdul really missed the boat by not watching the beautiful interpretive dance. But his insightful comment made me think of something I hadn't, if you swap places with someone they'll know all your secrets too, and you may not want that. Thank you for encouraging the awesome Parvati, I wish she could hear all our comments encouraging her and sending her love. We are very proud of her and she has nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing! Please continue this trend of explaining thoroughly so they really, really understand what they are seeing at every step.
This moved me to tears. Like a lot of Westerners i grew up with Kate Bush. Just so good to hear how those three people reacted, their ideas and concerns. They took it seriously 💙
I saw the notification and came here inmediately, I love that song! It really is full of a deep meaning, and the best part is that everyone can understand it even if English is not our first language... because we all want to feel understood and we want people to care about our feelings. It was great that they used this song for the soundtrack of stranger things 4, it perfectly portrays how powerful it is to feel the love of our friends, our families and even significant others in hard times. Great reactions as always, they always make me think deeply about life by hearing their perspectives ❤️
tbh it's not that great a song imo
Wishing you all the best with the flooding. Praying for your safety
Been loving this channel since I discovered it today it's so interesting to know these insights especially from Mr Abdul
People should be proud to speak their native language. To be proud of who they are. This channel absolutely reinforces the authenticity of human beings. And human cultures. This is a sweet and important channel.
Truly wonderful stuff. I love hearing their perspectives.
It is a privilege to hear the views and opinions of these gentlemen and this outstanding lady.
I loved this - thank you - great video and guests!
I have watched several of these videos. They are absolutely wonderful! I love this video very much. The reflections of these individuals is priceless.
I love how Muharam is always excited and amazed by what you show him!
I loved this reaction and their understanding of the song even if was in English. You made in it such a way help them understand the song in context. And help them look at it from their context and perspective. It was amazing
Another song similar to this vein is Depeche Mode's "Walking in My Shoes." The music video is pretty neat. I would love to see them react to that
Same here.
perfect video too ✨🎨 strong Goya influence
Thank you for the recommendation
Excellent video as always. Also your transitions are so sharp and clean! They were good before but I was watching the video and didn't notice the interviewee had changed for a moment, as they were perfectly lined up in the shot. So neat! Also 'Army Dreamers' may be another good Kate Bush song to explore at some point, very meaningful, good video as well.
The panelists are very insightful. They always give me food for thought. Sending love and prayers to each of you!
I have seen a few of these videos now and finally subscribed.
Music is truly a universal language connecting us all.
Love them all, and Muharam always has the best reactions, him vibing along makes me smile.
Greetings from Germany! 🇩🇪
I absolutely love the sober, honest appraisals and the deepest excavations of thoughts and emotions from these wonderful people. That's why I'm here. I'm a musician and this is a great analysis of both versions.
Just discovered this channel and am so excited to hear about their other channel where they explain things about their cultures. This is what the world needs! Using platforms like UA-cam for good by spreading knowledge and seeing things from other perspectives which, incidentally, is what this song is about!
Whatever the subject of the video, as soon as I see Muharram saying "wow bro wow" I get a big smile on my face 😄😁
I would be so so so so happy if you guys covered Kate Bush’s song This Woman’s Work. It’s incredibly beautiful and the music video has a very impactful story. I feel like the themes are connected in a way. Here Kate is singing about wishing to swap roles for a moment and in This Woman’s Work she’s singing from the perspective of a man who feels useless whilst his lover gives birth.
Really enjoyed how you all watched and discussed and interpreted you're reactions, I hope you react some more to music videos I found this quite entertaining thankyou.
I just recently rediscovered this song when my sister and I have been really at odds with each other. To the point to where we can't really be in the same company anymore, and the verse:
"You don't want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware, I'm tearing you asunder,
Oh, there is thunder in our hearts.
Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Oh, tell me , we both matter, don't we?"
Get's me tearing up and crying. I can really understand the desire to change places to help you both understand each other. So glad you guys got to react to this, it's a song that has come very close to my heart.
Please take a word of caution and sincere caring when I say, try and reconcile with your sister. Estrangement is hard on both. Unless this disagreement is bigger than all your years as loved one, it doesn't matter. Now, if she is toxic, I see not being as close. But any petty disagreement is so much less than a sisters love can be. Sorry, but I don't know your situation, but don't want you do be saddened if you never reconcile. Be Well Ms Morri. And please excuse my inadequate and clumsy words. ✌🏼✌🏼
@@KindCountsDeb3773 No I appreciate it. Unfortunately, she is toxic, and when I have attempted to suggest we see a therapist she had responded with “no fucking way.” It hurts, but I think I’ve done what I can at this point. All I can do is try to respect her boundaries and try to enforce mine or walk away when she won’t. Thank you though for reaching out.
This is such a brilliant example of how art transects language and cultures. How universal messages are just that, regardless of origin or language. So beautiful.
Incredible song, and an incredible video and interpretation, well done sir.
This was beautiful. The song and the people. ❤️ I’ve always loved Kate Bush but the way her music translates to others is so amazing to see. Blessings.
Thanks so much for posting. I have not seen this video since 1985. My younger self just found it "out there" liked the catchy beat. The meaning just passed me by. Revisiting , but now much older gave me just a deeper understanding.
such deep intelligence and joy. shining examples of true humans. thank you to all involved. many blessings.
I love that Muharam called this style of music "cold." That's exactly how it feels to me too!
