Steve Irwin was probably one of the most influential conservationists of the modern day. He loved all animals, he had this infectious energy with how much he loved his job; and even though he was the crocodile hunter, he was knowledgeable about pretty much everything
He got millions of kids to care about animals better than anyone else. We grew up to carry it on as best we can

Steve Irwin. I watched that man every day growing up when I was a child. More so than I ever did Bob Ross. He was my first childhood hero. So entertaining yet attentive to what hes doing at the same time. His efforts and care for animals has had a massive impact on wildlife preservation all around the world. There are very few men on this planet that can achieve such an impact as he has.

I'm much older, but I too watched Steve more than Bob Ross or even Mr. Rogers. I adore animals, so I love Steve Irwin and his family.
I live in a wild dangerous place with lots of snakes and large predators. Last week, a mountain lion killed my favorite goat. I've lost count of how many rattlesnakes I've caught and relocated. I own a gun, but rarely use it. I don't believe in killing predators, it's better to discourage them any way possible. I'm living in THEIR neighborhood, I'm the animal who doesn't really belong here, so I respect them.
At least there's a couple of ravens who are my friends. I feed them every day, and they recently started bringing me gifts! I'm so flattered, and fascinated.
I've gotten a watch and some single earrings (don't know who they are stealing from, I have no neighbors for at least a mile!), and the best one 2 days ago.
"Igor" (we named him) was on the ground, cawing loudly until I came outside. He flew up to the roof and watched me as I picked up the small, nice pair of thread clippers made by Fiskar he left for me on the ground. They aren't mine, never seen them before, but I sew and can use them!
Is this bird so smart that he understood that this useful tool is really something I like and will use? My ex-husband was never that good at choosing gifts for me!
I think I may have fallen in love with a tall, dark, and handsome RAVEN!
@@LazyIRanch Ravens are, much like a common Crow, very intelligent. More so than most humans give them credit for. It has an understanding that perhaps if it brings you something, in exchange you will also provide it food. And it will go and tell its raven friends and they in turn will also bring gifts. At first they will bring anything they see associated with humans. They know we wear jewelry, so if they see it, it will bring it. If it watches you use something in particular a lot, it may try to find something similar to bring you in return for food.
@@codysmith66 I think that's exactly what's happening. The clippers are pretty funny, now that I just realized who he stole them from and what they were used for.
There are lots of illegal marijuana growers around me. It's legal here, but not in the amounts and methods they use to grow it.
I was about to clean these clips, and realized the sticky stuff on it is resin. These were used to snip the buds off the plants to get it ready to sell!
Someone around here is probably upset they can't find their good quality bud snippers. Oh well.

I grew up with Bob Ross. Watched The Joy of Painting every Saturday, I think it was. I also grew up on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, and Marty Stouffer's Wild America. Crocodile Hunter came out relatively recently in my lifetime, but I still love him.
Same. I sobbed like a baby when I found out he died. Him, Jane Goodall and Jeff Corwin are some of my biggest heroes.
I love that you guys introduced these wonderful people to the Trinity of Wholesomeness on Television: Steve Irwin (be kind to Animals), Fred Rogers (be kind to others), and Bob Ross (be kind to nature).

There has to be a greatest hits for Steve Irwin. He loved all animals. Even the stingray that killed him, I'm sure. He was kind to spiders and scorpions, apes and elephants. He loved all living beings. We need more crocodile hunter. ❤ thank you
He also had a total lack of self preservation instinct, and worse, any sense of empathy for the animals he so roughly handled.

@@pierreo33 Oh really? I watched the man many times, and he was continually ticking off and scaring the hell out of the various wild animals he manhandled. Snakes would try with all their might to get away, and then in desperation lash out, for example.
Most definitely. As wild and crazy as his handling looked, it was all carefully controlled to demonstrate animal behaviors to watch out for while stressing the animal as little as possible. Quick, to the point, and release. I also recall hearing that he told his crew not to hold what happened against the stingray *as he lay dying!*
Edit: Does Scott doesntmatter belong to PETA? Because Steve's handling method of ensuring the animal is focused on him means it's easier to predict the animal's movements. A calm animal could've been startled by something outside Steve's control and lashed out in any direction. Besides, there really isn't a way to handle a wild animal without pissing it off at least a little and going for the Sir David Attenborough approach of following animals around for the perfect shot was probably outside their budget. Not to mention limiting the behaviors they could demonstrate.
The very first episode of the Crocodile Hunter when he takes his wife on their honeymoon to hunt for crocs, snakes and other wild animals would be a good video to show them. I don't know if it's available on the internet but it's a great introduction to Steve. You get to see his enthusiasm and love for animals, especially the ones people usually don't like.
Yes, I love that they have shown Steve but I wish they had also shown earlier episodes from before he got very popular. It's much less "showy" than the later episodes.
This made me remember the love story on how Steve met his wife, Terri. She was an American just watching the show and he was so taken by her he almost lost a hand with a croc, and knew he had to shoot his shot or lose his chance forever. Then it gets better when your realize his daughter, Bindi, was doing a tour that her now husband, Chandler Powell, was in and they just naturally hit it off.
I remember exactly where I was when I heard Steve Irwin died. That was a sad day for the world losing him. He was a man who knew who he was and loved what he did. People like that are just a blessing to be around and watch.
He left us far too soon, but at least his kids are keeping his legacy alive.

I was sleeping over at a friends house when I found out. We got on her computer and the first thing that popped up on the homepage was the news of his death. We both sat there in shock, couldn't believe it.
I cried for ages, he was a dear man.

I learned several things from this, I had no idea that crocs can live so long! 128 years that one at the sacred temple has lived. What a fascinating place! Make me want to visit Pakistan.
In an interview on t.v. with Steve Irwin, in the late 90's, he spoke about how crocodiles and alligators are misunderstood animals, like sharks are as well, and that if you understand their behaviour, and are cautious, they are predictable and are not as dangerous as people believe. However, you should not ever approach a wild animal if you are untrained about it, he added.
He did shows where he sat on a crocodile or petted them. Later, he had his then young daughter helping him. Her name is Bindi.
I look forward to seeing this group travel to where the ancient crocs are in Pakistan.

I'm pretty sure that's why he got so many of the animals he showed riled up, so the folks watching would be able to recognize their threat displays. I suspect it's also easier to safely predict and handle an at least mildly riled up animal because the animal is focused, thus, he can tell which way the animal is going to move. If the animal is calm, something might happen outside Steve's control, causing the animal to move in an unexpected direction.
I’ve been to his zoo, unfortunately much after his death, but it was still amazing. Their tributes to him made me tear up. Worth the 16 hour flight lol

I have a few saris that are too pretty to cut, so I have them draped at the head of my bed. One looks very much like what she's wearing today, and it's my favorite. Gorgeous teal color with gold metallic embroidery.

Just hearing his voice again breaks my heart, and at the same time puts a smile on my face. To quote the man himself:

His kids have some gigantic shoes to fill, but they're already making him the proudest parent in the world.

I definitely agree! I have heard of the Temple oh, I heard that it had crocodiles but that is literally the only thing I knew about it. It was interesting to learn more information about it.

What made him special was that he truly respected the animals he worked with. You felt that when watching him, that he was cautious and respectful. That is why he stood out to me compered to other wild life shows. Also he felt like a cool uncle. ''Uncle Steve is on the TV''
That was nice! His children are still carrying on his work. Would be awesome for you all to go see the crocodiles. There are big Alligators all around where I live in Florida, USA.
When I was a teen my friend's family moved to Florida and when I went to visit it shocked me they couldn't let their small dog to the backyard unsupervised, there were alligators in the channel bordering their yard! Sometimes they'd climb up the bank to sunbathe onto their lawn. Nothing as scary as that here in Finland lol
@@rhoeasie This is one of the reasons why people are strongly encouraged to keep their pets indoors at the U.S. There are packs of coyotes, raccoons, hawks, and even alligators in some places!

I liked the Muppets from Sesame Street but not the show itself. Even as a little kid, it somehow felt both rushed and repetitive. Maybe that's the ADHD talking, though.

@@brigidtheirish it was rushed (short segments, learning in little bites) because kids have short attention spans. It is repetitive because we learn by rote (repeating tasks). That’s why it was perfect for teaching the basics. The target audience was pre-k and kindergarten (2-5 years old). 🧸
Short segments also allowed for more subject content and more variety of methods in each episode.
Odd you felt it rushed and think ADHD to blame. Usually it’s the opposite experience. Were you on meds for that?

I know these are clips from the zoo, but I think they might also love some of the clips where he was backpacking and catching wild animals and then releasing them. I remember the episode with the tai pan snake and the cobra episode
This man was a gem. As a kid he was my childhood hero. He was able to literally pick something up from the ground or off a tree and he'd always have this look on his face of just being excited and in love when he'd eagerly show the cameras. It was almost as if he adored nearly every creature (with the exception of emu's) he came across. He even helped me over come a fear of snakes I had when I was little. It was heartbreaking when I found out he died, I remember animal planet hosted a memorial program for it and I sat there and cried while I watched it. He really taught me to appreciate the living things around me and it gives me a lot of joy to know that even after many years his influence is still on going. Thank you for showing them this wonderful man.
My favorite part was how you connected it to a place one of them had seen and the others might visit. There are so many great people and places in the world. We all have so much in common.

I think his most insane video was when he helped the village in Africa with the Black Mamba Steve was visibly really in fear that video too. The village thought he was the most insane person or like a God. My heart raced a bit watching that episode...one bite and it would have been over for him and that is too big a snake to simply hold it away from yourself.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone..... I absolutely loved watching this man do his thing, as I grew up. I was brokenhearted and in complete shock, when I learned his life had been cut short.
Thank you for this video. Steve's work inspired a whole generation of people to love and respect animals. I'm glad to see his message introduced to people who had never heard of him before. Do you think you could also show these folks LeVar Burton's Reading Rainbow? It was one of my favorite shows as a kid, and taught about reading and books.

My heart still aches for the loss of this man... the World needs more men like him.
It's important to know how much he loved these animals and how much he showed people that they weren't something to only fear and revile, but to love and respect, even if dangerous.
I started to cry toward the end. Steve Irwin did so much for the world. Sad he is gone. But amazing his kids carry it on, and amazing that you got to share him with people who never heard of him before! The internet is awesome.
Ah, it's a pity that Steve died by a Stingray, if he was still alive it would have been a spectacle seeing him and now also his son making spectacles in het Australian zoo with crocodiles.
What was most disturbing however was that a few weeks after his death, at least 10 stingrays were found dead and mutilated on the beaches of Queensland, with their tails cut off. It is speculated that this was done by many of Irwin's fan as an act of revenge, however if that was true, I fully believe that Irwin would have been very disappointed of them as he had his entire life been busy getting super close to the most lethal and dangerous animals on the planet.
He himself says that crocodiles aren't ravenous monsters but beautiful predatorial creatures that just protect their territory, the same could be said about that stingray that killed him, that stingray just felt threatened and attacked Steve. Steve himself had been attacked by countless creatures and dodged countless time with an extreme amount of luck, that luck ran out however with that stingray in 2006.
But for example, if Steve would have died of crocodile bites instead of a stingray, would Steve's ghost be pleased if fans would just shoot and mutilate crocodiles? NO, IS THE ANWSER! From all the dangerous species that he had encountered, he loved crocs the most. Steve would never ask for ANY retribution of his death by killing countless animals, just because one of them protected his/her territory and killed Steve.
I hope you read this from the heavens, oh great Crocodile Hunter, R.I.P. Steve Robert Irwin.
He was truly nature's earthly representative. He respected and loved natures awesome power.
Steve Irwin was a huge influence on me growing up. It really started my love for animals and is why I am still in the field today. I remember crying when I heard that he had passed. I still go diving and snorkeling thought because Steve taught us to not fear, but be respectful of wild animals.

His son has grown into a carbon copy of Steve. He's also an amazing photographer. They are still doing amazing work at his zoo. Steve was all about education. You teach people about something, they learn to care about it. he wanted people to care about animals.
I re-watched the funeral ceremony for Steve Irwin a couple days ago, and now you post this. Growing up as a child, Steve was my hero and I will forever be thankful for him opening my eyes and instilling a deep sense of appreciation for nature. Every single being on this planet has a purpose; even those we dislike, such as snakes. Either as predators or prey. If you ask me, us humans, our purpose are to be conservationists. Of course, we too should have a place on this planet, but it is important we allow nature to have one too.

I wonder if they'd enjoy looking at a clip of our Festival de las Mil Polleras? It's about our national dress. It's very eye-catching and I've always found some of our traditional jewellery is similar to jewellery from Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.

I live kind of rough, so I'm used to not having luxuries. I live on 20 acres of wilderness on a mountain and all my electricity comes from my solar panels and batteries. I raise goats to eat the weeds and keep us fire safe, and it's working so far.
I wish I had taken classes in Spanish instead of German, I would probably be able to speak it some if I had since I'm around more Spanish speaking people. Spanish is such a pretty language, almost anything sounds nicer in Spanish!
Cracks me up when some people get mad at people speaking Spanish in S. California, where most major cities here have lovely Spanish names, like Los Angeles, the "city of angels".
The furthest south I've been is Mexico City in 1978. My favorite aunt was a top fashion model there back in the 1950s, she's still gorgeous today in her 80s! I don't know how my goofy uncle persuaded that beautiful woman to marry him. She was engaged to a powerful millionaire, but my e. Texas farmboy uncle met her in his college classes at the university there. Learning Spanish sure paid off for him! They were adorable, so in love for decades until he died a few years ago.
I enjoyed that trip so much, especially meeting her family. I fell in love with Latino culture and wish citizens of USA could see our neighbors to the South the way I have experienced. Racism is stupid and hurts everyone.
Sorry, didn't mean to tell my life story, but thinking about my Aunt Conchita makes me happy.
I watched his show as a child and I watched his funeral as a child, crying my eyes out. One of the most genuine people to ever walk this earth, the trinity of wholesomeness is Steve Irwin, Bob Ross, and Mr. Rogers. They all embodied the core goodness of: be kind to nature, be kind to yourself, and be kind to others.
Steve Irwin was a global treasure. RIP, Stevo.
Awesome, I loved Steve Irwin as a kid! I'd watch his show every morning and he helped me to not be so scared of snakes (although to me they are still quite terrifying). We only have vipers here which are only slightly venomous, people usually want to just kill them straight away even though they could be just moved and spared if they are posing a danger to dogs or children, because they are so scared of them. He shows that if you know the animal's body language, act with confidence and care, there is nothing to worry about. I'd love to see you guys visit Mangho Pir, it sounds like a fascinating place!
Steve was passionate about his critters. His son (Robert), wife (Teri) and daughter (Bindi Sue-Named after his favorite croc and pet dog) have continued his legacy. His kids are as passionate and crazy about them as he is. Close to 90% of the animals at Australia Zoo we're named by Bindi. Much of the new photography was done by Robert (who is an award winning photographer). He was a supremely kind man and I am grateful that he lived.
Thank you for showing them some of my home here in Australia! Steve was an incredible ambassador and a man so passionate about conservation. It was wonderful seeing their reactions. Love everything about this channel and the good you are doing.
Steve was a great ambassador for animals. Not only did he bring these animals into our homes, which most people had never seen before, but he also taught us about them so we wouldn`t be afraid of these animals.

Yes! Thank you for showing them Irwin. His message of preservation was both important and sincere. I think an inspirational lady would be fun too. Dolly Parton comes to mind. A country music artist who used her fame and money to build a theme park, provided jobs, and gives away children's books for free via mail. I think that they may find her appearance jarring at first, but once they hear her sing they will understand. She's written many great songs and has been married to her husband for over 40 years now. I think the story behind 'I will Always Love You" would be a great introduction to her.
I used to watch his educational programs all the time. I learned a new respect and appreciation for reptiles. He was awesome. His wife and children continue his conservation work - I know they must miss him a lot.
A great man whose kids are certainly carrying on his legacy, and now a new generation has begun so the mission Steve started has a bright future. Bindi and Robert do their dad proud, and Robert is just like him lol Steve also grew up doing this with his dad, who was really the originator of the Irwin family mission.

Now they need to see the Crocodile named "Poncho" and his human. He's dead now, but while he was alive he was this MASSIVE crocodile that formed a bond with a human. They did shows together where the man would swim in the water with Poncho, and kiss him, and rest his neck on the croc's mouth & they would spin together. It's magical to see, it really is. (More Steve Irwin clips would be good too; his snake interactions, and maybe that one time he almost died to Komodo Dragons...)

I remember watching Steve Erwin and thinking to myself, "This man loves to play with death". He would do things that were crazy to me like putting his baby daughter on the back of a tiger. And he loved doing that crazy stuff too. 😆 Do you have zoos nearby that you can take them to? Good job on the video, Adnan!
Only when he knew he could handle the situation and what to expect from the animal. It looks absolutely insane to us, but that's often how it is watching professionals.

Such a great choice for a topic. Steve Irwin's massive energy and his incredible love for animals shined bright through everything he did. Even today 15 years after his death he is still such an inspiration.
And I loved seeing Parvati's little special guest! :) My son is a little younger than hers. He loves animals and he gets that same look of excitement and wonder on his face watching animal videos. Irwin's work has touched a whole new generation around the world.

They were 3 of the most kind, generous people to ever live. Modern day Saints.
This is a wonderful thing you are doing for these people, showing them the world they didn't even know existed. I hope they take it home with them and tell everyone they know.
I wish people here in the USA and other western nations would see how people live and work and think on the other side of the world as well.
Anthropology has always interested me. My minor in college was South East Asian Art, Culture and Religion so I am very familiar with some of the traditions and culture of the places our friends on this channel come from. I have not had a window into their thoughts and ideas like this channel has provided, and it is beyond interesting to me.
I would love to see more reactions to Music, Media and our culture.
Without a variety of perspectives, people can come to take their lives for granted and have a very narrow view of the world.
These videos are a wonderful thing, and it has become one of my favorite shows on UA-cam.

I have been binge watching the videos on this channel the past few days since I stumbled across them. I must say I absolutely enjoy them. My favorite reactor so far has been Muharam. He seems to be very nice and like someone who u would want to meet and hang out with. His reactions are so wholesome. He seems to be such an amazing person. Keep up the great work on this channel!!

I loved Steve Irwin. He was such a wonderful man and had such a zest for life and love of all of the animals in this world. He died doing what he loved those years ago. Unfortunately that just came a little too soon.

Steve Irwin's Widow, Terri, his Grown daughter Bindi and his almost grown son Robert still continue to run the crocodile show at the Australian zoo.
I remember this episode. It really brings me back to my childhood & I can't help but feel emotional about it. I was always amazed how positive he was when facing animals that could potentially kill him. He taught me a lot & its good to see his legacy continuing on. RIP Steve 🙏

I love Steve Irwin. He was my first and only true idol. I used to binge watch his shows when I was a kid. Didn't understand a word he said but it was obvious he shared my love for animals overall and reptiles in particular. I wanted to meet him so badly and check out crocodiles with him.

I used to watch Crocodile Hunter regularly with my friends or my brother and father. Steve's enthusiasm was always so entertaining and contagious. He was taken from us too soon, but it is good to know he is still reaching new people today

The best part of this video was how enthralled Parvati's kid was. Same, little guy, same. I watched Steve Irwin all the time as a kid, his was one of my favourite programs.
The second I saw Steve Irwin's face, I started to smile. He had a way of making the dangerous, enjoyable.
