Bless you lads for praying for her and the respect you showed Sinead, she was adored by the Irish people, but vilified and ridiculed by the press. She could never be at peace with this. Im not gonna lie, I struggled to get through this song.
Very very true. I was so sad to see the coverage of her death everywhere, I couldn’t watch the same press who vilified her “remember” her. They weren’t there for her in life. It is beyond tragic. Her life was painful and we all relate to pain on some level. To vilify then deify someone is adding to the sadness of it all. May she rest in peace with her son ❤
For far left people and punks she always has been a hero. That never went away. So the people that supported her in the early days, supported her until the end...that is something most artists cannot say. We might not be with much, but she knew that it is the quality and not the quantity of people that counts. So in a way she was blessed. Sure she suffered some struggles but she was not abandoned...
Me too 😭😭😭😭
I so loved her 🌹
RIP beautiful Sinead ❤
@@brightnessfalls I am neither far left or punk....and I loved what she stood for as well as her music. So......please don't stereotype. It's so banal.
@@sandraleigh4023then don’t ignore the fact that people like us on the far left exist and we do so for a reason. We’ve been vilified on a mass scale since the Karl Marx era simply because we want everyone to have the same chances at life and to believe we are all offered the same is banal.
She was a woman with a huge heart and a generous soul. She struggled horribly with depression and mental illness. She was very intelligent and aware of the plight of people all over the world. I wish she could have found more peace in this world.
I am a Christian and I so very much appreciated your gentle care and stopping to pray for her. God be with you.
I'm just stoked to see Abdul still with us after the health scare.
We are all there for him, I've been helping him with everything including the hospital visits. I hope life gets easier for him
@@TRYBALSyou’re amazing!!!
@@marieneu264 Amazing, beautiful, knowledgable, such depth 💖.
Yes, so wonderful to have the crew there and as well as can be. You’ve a pure soul, helping him must be second nature to you at this stage but not everyone in this world is so kind and caring. You are awesome ❤
I'm sorry to say that I was unaware of Abdul's health issues. Could someone please let me know what happened? Thanks! I'm grateful to hear that he is doing better now.
All of these men seem to be such gentle souls. Their understanding of not only the lyrics but the expression is amazing to see. Glad to see Abdul still here with us.
Love you all very much ❤
Gentle souls yea that follow a murdering warlord who raped woman and babies. A pedophile and self professed liar and cheat. No innocent here. Only devils.
Fascinating that he says 'it's music tells of a child who isn't valued' considering her childhood and the abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother. So incredible that he could pick up on it so easily after just a few moments!
jee
You mean after being told of the childhood issues? He was lead to that by the host.
Thank you for the respect you showed to Sinead O'Connor. She's worthy of love and respect. A brave woman. A warrior who was ahead of her time. Thank you for praying for her. I'm a better person for having watched this.
Beautiful comment and resonates with my own thoughts.
She is very sadly missed😢❤
Your comment made me cry. I was already feeling emotional, as I always have done when I watch the video for NCTY, but it really hurts now. Sinead was an amazing woman and I relate to her in so many ways. She really was a warrior. I know she was never bothered about it and actually rejected it but she was and always will be one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen as well being a beautiful soul.
@@Gemma626 When many North American people saw her for the very first time on television, in the early 1980s, with a news story of this new singer, many, many people found her different because of her shaven head. It was new here. Back then, people were still trying to understand blue, green, purple, spiked, etc., hair. These tribal people have never seen many of the most current things in the West. Never. Why wouldn't they be thrown somewhat by Sinead's signature look? They're honest. They obviously weren't trying to insult her, but giving their first impressions, as is what is expressed in all the videos. Have you or I never been thrown by an incredibly "new" look?
@@Gemma626 It's all good. I hear you too 💞.
She's my Family member and I have to say thank you, I would never thought you would do a tutorial on her. I've been watching you guys for many many years . I have to say thank you. Keep up the great work
May she forever rest in peace ❤
I want you to know Sinead tearing up the pope helped me to escape the religious abuses I suffered & though I have ptsd? Im ALIVE cos of her bravery. Im not alone in feeling some validation in how awesomely she stood up for kids. I only wish I could've made her life less painful in kind. My deepest condolences to you & yours. Nothing but love, me🫂💔💞
It made me cry when one of the men prayed for her.
She is your family member and at the same time she is a sister to billion people world over. May Allah grant her eeace and Indeed there the person that she was seeking has always been there for her.

A child who isn’t valued, her face tells such things! He doesn’t just look like a wise old man . The good side of you tube. Sinead brought me here and I’m glad she did. I’m Irish and sinead is and will always be one of Ireland’s Crown Jewels
It’s amazing he sees that because she wasn’t valued as a child. She was abused and carried that pain her whole life.
Exactly
I know!! 😢😮 i felt seen when He said that. 😅 he'slike a psychic i want him 2 read me
A very intuitive response, almost immediate. Remarkable considering he had no idea who she was.
You've a Welsh name on you, sir... like The Saint tho, Himself... peace be upon Him.
I want you to know that watching your videos is more than just watching the reactions of the Tribal People. It is transcendent to me, meaning that your videos connect all of us on a larger scale. It is bringing commonalities instead of fear. With the politics here in the U.S. pushing fear and hate, it is strange that I get comfort from people I should supposedly fear. I thank you very much.
Thank you for your insights Kevin, it has been a priority for me to make use of this channel and the platform in a better and positive way. Your comment is very helpful for me to navigate through this whole journey, wish you the bests 🤗❤️🌹
Why wouldn't you fear Islamic terrorism? It's a reality and it's happening all over the West (amongst other depraved things)... of course, that doesn't mean there aren't good Muslims among us, there are, just don't be naive and blind to the facts and then call out those with genuine concerns hateful or racists - in most cases, it has nothing to do with race whatsoever, regardless of your opinion and those of the far-left.
Be wary of being told who you are, “supposed to fear” as you say.
“It’s not what we don’t know that gets us into trouble. It’s what we think we know for certain.“ Mark twain.
Yeah, the hatred and hostility towards Americas is insane. And it's not just in America, but towards all the western host populations, their countries, cultures and societies.
Just try to remember Kevin that the people who want us to hate anyone that they consider to be "other" thrive on that hatred and how it destroys us all. Always try to remember that the government of a group of people is often not the same as the people that they govern. These videos are all about understanding and bridging the gaps between people, not separating and dividing us from each other. This is why you and the rest of us here have not only seen but felt their value in our hearts.
They honored her with their prayers. What a kindness.
- Thank you for sharing this. It's true that though this song was written by Prince, Sinéad did connect with it. Particularly with her mother, which is why she begins to cry. She had a difficult upbringing but she really did have love for her mom. Her mother was killed in a car crash when Sinéad was 18 years old so the tears she cried were real and in remembering her mother.
- She did cut her hair short because she did not want to be seen as just a woman but seen as an artist. Most men, especially in that industry, view women as sexual objects. She did not want that. She had suffered that abuse by men when she was a young girl. She did not want to be seen as such and wanted to be taken seriously. Doesn't really happen that way unfortunately but it's what she stood by. Eventually she would wear the hijab which resolved the issue with her hair.
- I like that you asked about the background, with the statues. The statues are actually telling a story as well. The way they edited this was awesome in the way each statue was facing her as she was walking or standing. Each one was shown to either look at her or even wave to her. They were a part of her journey, like old friends.
- The issue with the picture of the pope, she did this as a protest to the abuse children were suffering within the catholic church. Back then people did not want to speak on it but she was abused as a child as well and the catholic church and the pope were hiding it from everyone and, in fact, they still are. Sinéad took a stand for children who were abused but she was attacked in the media instead. And as it turns out, she was right all along. RIP Sinéad O'Connor. You took a sweet song and turned it into a beautiful story. 💞
❤agreed. Sinead tearing up the pope validated my own ptsd from religious abuses. She literally saved my life, & I wish I could've saved hers.💔🫂

Very well said
Abdul is so compassionate and insightful and never ceases to amaze me. He watches every video so intensely and takes it all in. All these men feel the music they hear their hearts without understanding the language but Abdul has a wisdom that comes from life experiences and age. I pray he will get better every day and be able to do some of the things he misses and be free of his pain!
I would love to see him react to Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens) Father and Son. I'd love to hear his thoughts on that beautiful song.
I don't
know why my eyes are full of tears....when she started her career I was living in India and not interested in western music... I am knowing her through your eyes... understanding and compassion of her Thank you so much 🙏💖
Hearing Mr. Abdul Aziz Rind Baloch recite a song, may I suggest you turn things around at some occasion, and ask your guests to present and talk about a meaningful song of their own language that has touched them, for any specific reason, so we can learn about it too? Thanks, wish you all good health, kind greetings from the Netherlands.
Thankyou for praying for her. I always regarded Sinead as a big sister since I first heard this song when I was a kid and over the years I always saw her standing up for and trying to help others. She dealt with a lot of pain in her life but I think she found peace before she passed away.
She wasn't in peace, sadly, she was in turmoil and despair from the suicide of her son... She posted her feelings on Twitter in the days leading up to her death.
@@lilyanaharforde3374 I appreciate what you've shared. I understand that she was in the deepest despair. 😢. R.I.P. dear Sinead ☘️🕊️💖.
@@lilyanaharforde3374 In regards to this of course his death had a devastating effect on her. I simply meant she seems to have a quiet place where the community looked out for her and kept the paparazzi at bay.
@shanegooding4839 I listened to her audiobook and it made me less sad. She had a full, triumphant life, doing what she loved to do (make music), raised 4 great kids (her daughter even sung on tour with her) had a couple of grandkids. Lobbied for her causes, had dinner and chilled with Muhammed Ali...We shouldn't think of her and be sad. We are more than where we started and more than the circumstances of our death.
It's so sad 😢 Rest in peace shinaid oconnor 😢
She wore her hair so short so that people would not focus on her beauty but on her music. Great video gentlemen.😊
I also heard from a friend who knew her that it was a reaction to her record company, who wanted to market her as a classic Celtic princess type.

She said on Dr. PHIL she first cut her hair off bcuz her mother used 2 introduce her and her sister to people as sinead my beautiful daughter and her sister my ugly daughter. She had brown hair and her sisters hair was red and she would always use it to hurt her sister. She couldnt hurt her anymore once she was 13 she got big enough to fight back but to protect her sister she kept her head shaved so she couldnt do that to her anymore. 🤷♂️ (something like that anyway)
“All the flowers that you planted , momma, in the backyard , all died…”. She said she was singing to her mother who died and who was extremely abusive to her as a child, but whom she deeply loved still.
Yes this is what she said. It is not about the maid. It is about deep heartbreak that only comes with family or deep romantic love. For her she said in her memoir it was those : her mother and also an old love.
In an interview she said that each time she sings a song she thibks of a different person so she can stay fresh in the words

Abdul immediately got what Sinéad was singing about, and understood more deeply than most English speakers what was on her heart! Also, wow, I was so moved to see them pray for her. ❤
I loved Abdul singing for us. I have a chronic illness and can no longer enjoy life as I might like to. I can really relate to what his song was about. It is awful when your body starts to decline. Many blessings to you all at Trybals. I love hearing your opinions on the things you watch. 🙏🏻❤️
20:35 I pray the pain leaves him soon too, so he can get up and work or just do what makes him happy and brings him joy. He’s my favorite and I wish him all the pain free days and minutes for the rest of his life!
His song wishing to return to a better time is beautiful.
Many of us still love and care about people that we have been abused by. Many of us are still loved and cared about by those we have abused. Being a human ain't easy. I've learned that it's easier to forgive others than to forgive ourselves.
Bless you for doing this! This is the first time I've been able to listen to this song since she died. I thought it would be too hard, but sharing it with you guys experiencing it for the first time has made it special and less painful.
Absolutely😪
it still made me cry
Yours words are mine here. Thank you.
I'm so glad i watched this. Not just for the fact that I adore Sinead and what she stood for, but to see all these gentlemen for the beautiful people they are and not the boogie men we've been taught to fear. I feel like I could learn so much wisdom from them. It's was wonderful just watching and listening to their perspectives regarding her and the song in a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for this and the prayers for an amazing woman. May her and her son rest peacefully in paradise. Bless you all. 💜🕊😊
Immediate tears when you guys prayed for her. You are so kind.
Edited to add... Her beautiful, intense, vulnerable face made me cry again. Trauma blunts and robs the world of so much talent.
Me too .....cannot remember when i cried so inrensely

Would it be appropriate to sincerely thank you for praying for her ? I am 58 now and first saw her in concert 40 years ago. Her passing is terribly sad. She missed her son terribly. She was in agony for missing him and only wanted to be with him again.
I love that you prayed for her
❤❤
I was very sick and needed eye surgery to keep me from going blind. I had 4 young men come from the local church and do a “Laying on if Hands” blessing and anointed me with oil.
When I went to have my surgery my Dr thought I had gone to another surgeon and had it done behind his back. I no longer needed any surgery and 8 years later, I can still see fine 🙏
Thank you all for doing this and sharing with us! I was raised by an Irish Catholic family full of abuse, like Sinéad and her music has been so important to my life and my soul and healing. To hear these men react and respect and fully understand her without ever knowing a single word of the lyric until they are translated is beautiful beyond words and to me, is a very deeply holy experience. We are all humans, we are all connected, we are all meant to love and care for each other. Please please share with the group that this woman from America who has never met them, cares for and respects and loves them, too. I’m absolutely blessed to know them through this work. ♥️♥️♥️ Much love and prayers and respect from me, in Florida USA.

Sinead was a big influence for me in my late teens/early 20s. I've watched a lot of reaction videos for this song since her passing. THIS one was the best. I actually learned a bit more about the song and their reactions are so genuine. Many blessings to those who are involved in this channel ❤
I love have you have evolved the format from just people reacting to youtube videos to people baring their souls and how music no matter what language can stir such emotions.
Amen !
She does a beautiful live version of Mother by Pink Floyd with them The Wall live in Berlin 91 , well worth watching. She had an angelic voice. RIP Sinead.
Reactors always get that wrong. When they react to Mother, they always take away a melancholy, nostalgic view of a loving mother... when it's actually about an overbearing mother that smothered the child.
@@pastorofmuppets22 true. Think that's what made her perfect to do that song, and she did amazing.
Beautiful souls listening to a beautiful soul. RIP Sinead. You were too gentle for this world. 💔
Sinead infuses this song with a whole other meaning and power, one I much prefer to what Prince could have given it with his maid blues. Much like Johnny Cash's rendering of 'Hurt' by Nine Inch Nails, this song became hers the moment she sang it.
I was actually thinking of that. Even Trent Reznor said the song belonged to Johnny. Prince had to know. He did beat Charlie Murphy at basketball though.

Another really impressive Sinead song is Fire on Babylon. She wrote it herself, it's very illustrative of her relationship with her mother, Catholicism and the abuse she suffered, and her vocal range is amazing.
Before we even start the song, I am so moved that they prayed for her.
I'm from Scotland, and I learned more about the song from this video than I ever knew in my 46 years of life. Thank you.
This is a beautiful illustration that no matter our cultures - human emotions are universal. They all GOT the feeling.
It was palpable. I cried through the whole thing, sadness for the great loss of this amazing woman and happiness seeing new people learn of her and her brilliance.
She was not just a musical package and commercialized… She had a deep feeling and expression for humanity…. A visionary…
Mr. Abdul is so great at interpreting the unspoken feelings on her face. Respect from Texas 😊
People got mad about her tearing up a picture of the Pope but today they would agree with her. I did not know she had died and had a Muslim funeral since she was Irish that's a surprise.
She converted to Islam some years ago.
Being Irish has nothing to do with a Muslim funeral.
You can be Irish and Muslim, you know
Her tearing up of the pope's picture was because of all the covered up paedophiles and the Magdalene laundries which the church has never apologised for. I don't blame her for doing it
It had to do with the sexual abuse cover ups. Still going on with so many religious organizations. Wolf in sheeps clothing.
I believe when she tore that picture up, it was at a time when many many Catholic priests world-wide were just being publicly outed as child abusers. Because I remember watching that live and feeling the loss/hurt of a Catholic child who just learned her religion has been hurting their youngest most precious members. I was more surprised that Catholics would choose their leader over their own children-that was a choice that would never ever be made in my family. My great-grandfather in fact made the opposite choice, to protect his children from the priests.
I saw an interview where Sinead said that she thought of her mother when she sang this song. So the first gentleman who spoke was actually correct.
Her Mother was jealous of her; terrible for a child to ever go through!
I have watched a few videos on people reacting to this song since she died. This is, by far, the best reaction. She was one of the singers who got me through my teenage years. After she ripped the picture of the Pope on SNL, she became someone I looked up to. I love that you prayed for her, and I love the kindness and insight you shared while watching. This was beautiful. Thank you.
The way you paid respect to Sinéad's soul by praying really moved me. Even if I'm not a religious person I admire your heartfelt and collected homage.
This song was actually recorded and released by one of many Prince side projects named The Family (nowadays fDeluxe) before Sinéad O'Connor covered it. Here's a version they recorded with a strings ensemble seven hours and thirteen days after Prince's passing in 2016 :

I also recommend you another Prince song that is sorrowful and got a very peculiar new meaning : Sometimes it snows in April. This song has been recorded on April 21, 1985, exactly 31 years before Prince's death.

Not seven hours and fifteen days?
Sinade's talent is her ability to be fearless in her music, her ability to sing with honest emotion, her ability to be vulnerable and still strong, of course her voice is stunning but the ways she uses it is special.
This song speaks of pain, sadness and acceptance. The source of those feelings is different for each listener but the pain is the same. Thank all of you for sharing your thoughts and taking the time to listen ❤

I am impressed how much you know about her, you tell the story so well, you must be a big fan! Me too. I'm sad she passed. 😢
The moment of prayer… 😢 such kindness. Made me cry. I’m so sad Ms O’Connor suffered so much in her life. She was right in her anger at the Catholic Church for hiding and ignoring the sexual abuse of children that was fairly rampant. The Catholic Church chose to protect the priests abusing them instead of the children that deserved to be kept safe from harm. She was treated horribly after she tore the then-pope’s picture as a statement that the Catholic Church was corrupt all the way to its highest level. What’s more corrupt than permitting adults to sexually abuse children and rather than reporting the crimes, they gaslighters the kids and their families and moved the abusers to new communities without letting those new communities know? It’s disgusting.
It is my first visit to your channel, and i would like to thankyou for the respectful gravity, compassionate spiritual and engaged attention, and thorough concern in looking at so many aspects of this performance.
I always loved this song, but i did not know Sineads life history. I lost my first partner to suicide, 29 years ago, and tears poured down my face listening to this video, realising some of the pain she must have been experiencing, and remembering my own. I especially thankyou for starting with the grace of the prayer for departed souls. Thankyou, from Australia.
Thank you for including the session in the beginning, explaining to the men that the song was originally written and performed by Prince, but the cover by Sinead O'Connor was far more famous. And thank you also for including background information about O'Connor's life, including the very respectful way that you presented her death. Even people in English-speaking countries often forget these details about this song and the performer.
This is the first time I have listened to this since her passing and I am in tears at her voice, the loss and the reactions to her video
Let us take a moment of silence and remember Prince and Sinead. TY you both for being you. ❤❤❤

I understand Abdul's and his son's feelings. My father used to be a strong, active man, but Parkinson's and age has left him weak and unable to do most to the things that he used to. It's hard.
The song that the elderly gentleman starts to sing at around 19:50 shows that he understood the sadness of this English language song based on your translations. Even though it is very likely he is one of the individuals in the group who might not know how to read, his wisdom and years of experience allowed him to make the connections.
Thank you for Praying for Sweet Sineads' Soul.
She would have really appreciate that🕊️

The greatest appreciation to Abdul and everyone here. 🙏
I cried too, I love this song, love the beautiful reactions ❤️
I recently discovered this channel and love it! Being from the Netherlands and having travelled around the world a lot in my past, this brings me back to cultures i have experienced during those trips. People from a totally different cultural, economic, and religious background that have often touched me with their wisdom. Western world people often think they already know everything there is to learn about life. But when you look and listen to the way these people review whatever is served to them, it should become clear there is a deep inner wisdom in these tribal people from which there is much to learn by us in the so called “modern world”.
You are right....I feel the same....such a respect for others without judgment but with a lot of compassion and wisdom.....I am also a seasoned traveller and still do it especially in south east Asia...namaste 🙏
@@crystalhealing847 Thanks! There is also a big difference in how elderly people are viewed and treated in their and our world. The older you get in their world the more respect you earn and are consulted for your wisdom, gained by life’s experiences. Over here in the west, elderly people are often treated way differently. I probably don’t have to illustrate that for you…
I love this cross cultural exploration! Brilliant idea, content, editing and setting. So wonderful to read the translation and hear the language.❤
I sobbed when I watched this. What a terribly hard hard life she had with only short spells of happiness in between the hard parts. At some point life was simply too hard and she wanted to get off and have some peace.

Beautiful voice and beautiful person. There won’t be another Sinéad O’Conner nor should there be. We were lucky to have her. It’s touching to see her legacy being experienced the world over. ❤💚
Here is Sinead O'Conner many years ago with long hair. She had a very hard life and suffered for many years. You men did a very good ,well-thought out synopsis. Thank you. ua-cam.com/video/hBoRf2ik1ec/v-deo.html
I can't recall his name, but the man in the turban when singing. It sounds a lot like my grandfather singing me a lullaby in German before bed.
This song is very dear to me because my husband used to sing it to me when we started dating...We got married in 1996 ❤❤
I grown up in a Catholic family, I don't believe in religions anymore, but I have to say that the prayer for Sinead moved me deep inside, it was a beautiful moment.
She lost her faith because she was abused when she was a child, that is the reason behind the tearing, live on a TV show, a photograph of the Pope. She was a sweet soul and indeed a warrior.
Abdul's songs are like the blues: hard truths that everyone knows about.
Forget Prince and the maid. Sinead sang the song and gave it meaning of her own. She didn't really know Prince at all and she certainly wasn't singing for a maid that she never met.
Exactly, thank you. And I bet, to most of the people who have heard it through the years, it's considered to be a love song, or rather a song about lost love, if you will. But I gotta say, that whole "Mama" part, does cause some confusion at the end.
She did actually spend some time with Prince after, I think, she recorded the song, at his home, and they got into a big fight, she claimed, because he was pissed off at her for recording his song and for its being such a huge smash success, for her, something like that, and that he ultimately got abusive, and that she had to escape by running off, but, who really knows, with both of them in life almost certainly being complicated, ego-driven, temperamental, yet at the same time probably insecure, very sensitive, creative artists, and all. They may have been drinking & stuff, as well, of course.
This reaction vid was beautiful and sad, like the song, and like O’Connor, herself was, imo. RIP 🦋Sinead🕊️😢
i don't believe prince wrote this about a maid. Sinead was thinking of her mother when she recorded this, according to her interview.
With The Cranberries' Zombie last year, the villagers have had more exposure to Irish music than to Portuguese fado!
My heart melts when Abdul Aziz speaks. It's like my grandfather speaking. I wish there's a way to exactly translate what he says in Balochi. Cuz his Balochi remarks are very wise.
My brother Andy was a hardcore southern rock fan from this song came out and saw the video he really liked her and this song because you can feel her emotions through the song. I didn't realize that's because he was going through those same emotions having just broken up with the love of his life. He died before they get back together. Rest in peace Sinead
Ríaz taking time to pray for her makes my soul feel warm ☺️ 3:54
Thank you very much for praying for Sinéad 🌹💞
I love these videos. Blessings to the older man struggling with his health. Its hard aging.
Thank-you for the prayers for Sinead I'm sure her loved ones are touched by it. I am and I'm just a fan. ❤🙏
I have to say, I didn’t know much about her personal life until I heard you explain it to the gentlemen. That makes the song so much deeper and more powerful! Thank you for teaching me something new too 😊
I didn't know anything until her death. So tragic.
I haven't watched this channel in a while. I'm loving the studio and seeing everyone on camera in a much richer environment. It's great to see Adnan interviewing everyone on camera. We mostly heard his voice before...this is much better. I'm sorry to hear from other comments that Abdul hasn't been well. It's good that he feels well enough to do this video. He always has such wonderful insights into the deeper meaning of things.
I like Abdul, he is always closer to the meaning of things. All the gents are fabulous however. God Bless us all.
It's been a while. I got mysteriously unsubscribed. You have such a great team. It's green to "hang out" with all of you. Glad to see you in front of the camera! You've really brought this up to a new level. 👍 Good job, my friend.
Back in the day, I read the full story about her hair. Basically, when the record company signed her, and were talking about advertising her first album, and the photo shoot... They made a comment that they would "pretty her up, a bit".
Obviously, that pissed her off.
Her response: Right after the meeting/immediately prior to the photo shoot - She went and cut off all her hair.
Thank you for praying for Sinead. I remember listening to this song after leaving my mom for similar reasons at 15. It was a hard time in my life and I missed her so much. This song came out around that time and I would go in the closet listening to it on replay. My mom passed in 2017, and I feel like that girl all over again when I hear this song. I also think of my daughter that I lost too. I'm glad she is with her son again.
She did what not many could do, she took a song that had been recorded by Prince and actually made it better. I loved Prince but her version of the song was so much better. Rest in peace Sinead ☮️✌️
I truly appreciate your videos, a small glimpse into a world that is foreign and far away and how the people think. Thank you.
Sinead OConner has amazing vocal control. She is able to create depth and subtlety in layers. She truly understood music in a way I think few people did.
I feel these videos bring us a little closer. Wish something like this existed for all cultures, we humans more in common than not. Please keep up the good work and spread it further.
I just happened on this and found it very beautiful. Their empathy with the emotions Sinead was expressing and the way they immediately prayed for the repose of her soul. Very moving.
Sinead sings Prince’s lyrics beautifully
Beloved Sinead. ❤
