@@meganwatson2923 Molly's brothers. In the books, specifically Order of the Phoenix, when Mad-Eye shows Harry the picture of the original Order of the Phoenix, he points out Fabian and Gideon Prewett, telling Harry that they were killed by Voldemort and his death eaters and that they died like heroes. Pottermore, back before its rebranding, went into more detail about them being Molly's brothers. So, before Molly married Arthur Weasly and they had all the Weasley children we all know and love from the movies and books, she was Molly Prewett.

The amount of details the devs have put into this game is mind-boggling. I don't know how anyone has even finished this game yet, let alone finding all of these easter eggs and such. I had early access to this and hit it pretty hard this weekend and I haven't even scratched the surface of the amount of content this game has to offer. Great video!
Well, some people prefer just doing the story, and others prefer exploring first story second. The game has a sliding level scale(each region goes from a set minimum to a set maximum but parallel to your level) so whichever way you do it its fine.

There's another easter egg I think a lot of people missed. You see, there's a student in the courtyard dressed differently who keeps training with a broom. Well, the thing is, this random npc actually does have a name : Hector Fawley. For those who don't know who he is, it's the british minister of magic during the fantastic beast movies. (if you have trouble getting this npc to talk, try getting on your broom next to him. He will react and you will see his name.)
In the forbidden forest you can find the pond where Harry saved himself and Sirius from the dementors. As you approach it a group of stags walks by and your character will point them out.
Another possible nod to Sirius Black is during the Astronomy class quest when you can hear one student saying "I can't find the Sirius constellation. Isn't it a dog?" Possibly referencing how Sirius' animagis form was a Grim, or a very large black dog.
@@venator1994 @Hunter for sure the mention of Sirius is a nod to the character, I didn't say it wasn't, but the phrase "isn't it a dog" isn't a reference to his animagus form it's simply just the shape of the real constellation.
The groundskeeper hut has a page that states the tools can make furnishings for a hut, no matter how large..... this of course being the future home for Hagrid. Also if you come across a travelling musician, Ernie Lark, everytime you give him coin when you see him next, he will have a new instrument and the crowds will get bigger and say how great he is, instead of the bad stuff they say.
Professor Weasley’s office (just off the Transfiguration Classroom) is filled with chess pieces of different sizes that exactly match the design of the set in the first film. Would be so cool if those pieces were designed by her, used by the future deputy/transfig professor to protect the stone, and beaten by her descendant.
Another nod to the weasleys is one of the unlockable appearance transmogs is identical to Ron's formal wear for the Yule ball in Goblet of Fire. They even dubbed it "fashionable dress robes". Now you too can look AND smell like your great aunt Tessie too!
12:46 another really cool detail you find when entering the "K" in the tapestry - in the second room (the one with the chest right next to the door), the tapestries on the wall (they are highlighted as magical or interactable upon using Revelio) tell the tragic tale of a fair maiden whom befell an ill-fated tragedy... turn your magical flashlight on and off while standing in front of each of the images to see them change and tell a different angle of the story (go from left to right, then, with the changed tapestries, back from right to left - at least that's what I did) Just so cool to find these semi-well hidden little things in the game, where the devs reward you for paying attention to the details ;)
Whilst doing the prologue, when you come to the part when you examine the mural and statue, there is a tree to the right of the stairs. If you walk past the tree there is a chest and also a Niffler and a Bowtruckle enjoying a Butterbeer and Honeydukes sweets while looking out over the sea.
I just realized Prof. Fig great great granddaughter is the squib who Dumbledore sent to watched over Harry. She was the one who was Dumbledore’s witness when Harry is being investigated for using magic in front of his step brother.
You mentioned Luna, You know it brings up an interesting idea, Thanks to this game what are the odds that Luna is able to see ancient magic like our character and passes it off as the creatures her dad writes about because no-one remembers any of the magic or references to it anymore
I haven't seen anyone mention this. I think the Mirror of Erisad is one of the Ancient Magic portals. The first portal you use in the game works like a mirror, but with a different room in the reflection. Also, the ornate appearance of the portal doors are very similar to the Mirror.
Pro Tip: the clock tower doors can also be unlocked by using Glacius on the mechanism, which freezes the entire thing allowing you to go through the doors and get progress on the Hogwarts secrets.
the niffler and bowtruckle (I thought it was meant to be a mandrake) having a teaparty can also be found right at the start of the game, just as you cross the bridge to the Ruins, on the left behind a tree :)
I used Glacius in the clock tower pendulum puzzle and then used Confringo to warm it back up to beat the puzzle! Love that there’s often multiple ways of doing things🙃
Yeah, Glacius + Confringo works SO much better than Arresto Momentum, especially for that one door that you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to.
I’d absolutely love a DLC that would take place with our Phoenix companion, give us a spell that resembles that Dumbledore scene, give us an aoe ancient magic ability to nod to Dumbledore it would be so cool to know Dumbledore could utilize ancient magic 😁
There's some really obscure references from the books hidden in this game too. I think it's in the defence against the dark arts tower where you can find a portrait of what has to be wendolyn the weird. She's mentioned in the very start of the prisoner of azkaban and she doesn't have a field guide page or anything to point it out.
@AndyReloads the pendulum freeze thing is part of the Hogwarts Secrets (there are four rooms with treasure in them, you have to freeze the pendulum at the correct symbols to unlock each), which will give you a nice reward once all for rooms have been unlocked (took me about an hour to find all rooms, as i missed the ground floor room).
They even added non trivial stuff like Harry going into the room next to the great hall after his name came out of the goblet of fire. The room looks exactly like the one described in the books
Also, another nod to the Black family is with the mazes. I’ve loved that extra bit and the story going along with it. Haven’t found them all yet but I’m loving the game so I’ll definitely keep looking. Lol
6:25 not only there. These puppets are also right at the beginning of the game after you travel via portley. They sit on the right side of the cliff, were you can find the statue of Prof. Rackham. (There is also a chest with galleons beside them)
As a big HP fan that grew up reading the books as they came out, this game was my younger self's dream come to life. Being able to traverse the entire Hogwarts castle and uncover easter egg after easter egg...it's magnificent. I've spent nearly 80 hours on the game and plan to play until I reach level 40 and complete all Challenges
The easter eggs were so clever in game! Just a little thing, though, your second one with the Vera Verto spell was from COS, hence he messed the spell up with his broken wand. :)
Thank you so much for this video! The information you shared was incredibly helpful to me, and I appreciate how well you were able to communicate it. Your presentation style is so engaging and easy to follow. I found myself completely absorbed in the content from start to finish. Thanks again for all your hard work in creating such high quality content!
6:16 Newt's niffler Alfred can be found in several places. I found one on my first playthrough following Prof. Fig in the intro. When you cross the "repaired" bridge on the right side looking off the cliff they are eating candy and watching the sunset.
You can find the Quill of Acceptance and Book of Admittance by finding the key in Professor Black's office and then opening the locked door at the end of the hallway leading up to his office. My favorite room in the castle!
😂 you can land up there from the outside aswell I unlocked it all before the mission you just can’t pick a note up in the room and also you need alohamora unlocks
Great video, thank you (: Also FYI @12:26 there's also a similar spot behind the fireplace in the library.. So now I'm wondering if there might be even more of those
I discovered the fireplace in the library way earlier than unlocking Glacius. I kept wondering why revelio is showing a chest INSIDE a fireplace?! After trying all of my available spells at the time, i just left it. Finally now i know what to do , now that i have glacius 😂
There is actually an easter egg in one of the first sequences of the game. In the part where you and prof. Fig are heading over that huge bridge to that castle at the cliffs. If you go to the right after crossing the bridge you will find a toy Niffler sitting next to something like a miniature sand castle... 👀
Hermione turning into a cat with the polyjuice made me get a question wrong on the quiz from the girl when you need the advanced transfiguration book 😅
that k room tapestry takes you to a room that shows werewolfs. Its a easter egg for professor lupin. it shows a statue of the werewolf form and all. its pretty cool. it even has the page that hermione shows when learning about were wolves
I think Ominis can't be Tom Riddle's direct ancestor, since the game happens just 36 years before Vodemort's birth. But, I remember that, after finishing the Scriptorium quest, he says that his older siblings used to perform dark magic on innocent people, such as muggles... So, Ominis may be brother to Marvolo Gaunt, or his nephew perhaps, meaning that Noctua Gaunt (also part of the game) is Marvolo's sister. However, I loved the fact they introduced 2 descendants of Salazar Slytherin that aren't related to Dark Arts
Just inside the Defence of Dark Arts Tower from the door to the Transfiguration Courtyard, there's a big painting of what looks to be the second Peverell Brother using the Resurrection stone to bring back a girl (his deceased girlfriend) while Death watches.
If you keep attacking the mirror looking into the lake where you meet Ominus for the first time, the giant squid will slap one of its tentacles from the other side
I found an Easter egg. On the lower level of the clock tower, there is a locked room that References the Battle scene from the deadly hallows part 2 when the dark wizards were attacking hogwarts
@12:03 I have found 3 doors you unlock by halting the pendulum. Just halt the pendulum on the symbol that's on the door. They are all nearby the one you show. One is between floors in one of the stairwells
There are 4 doors and it is part of the '3 secrets' of the school. You need alohomora to access 3 of them, though the fourth is in the Crossed Wands arena at the bottom.
6:22 The niffler tea party is also placed on the mountain at the start of the game. If you walk back out of the castle ruins towards the bridge and turn left right after the gates they're positioned on the cliff overlooking the sea and the bridge. You can't interact with it though.
You also can see the niffler and pickett in the beginning of the game. When you are using portals. Just before the ruin with the statue on the right side.
There us another Sirius Easter egg where you go to the headmaster living quarters and on a nightstand you'll find a letter to Headmaster black where it mentions 2 names. One being Sirius, whom of course is a different Sirius, but it's a nice nod to Sirius in the harry potter time era.
i rarely subscribe to people but you don't drone on about irrelevant things, your videos are straight to the point. I looked up one of your Hogwarts Legacy videos and it helped me out. Thank You!
12:01 If you do this (or an easier process, using Glacius + Confringo instead of Arresto Momentum; AM doesn't last long enough for a couple of the doors) on all of the symbols along the pendulum's path, each symbol opens a different door on a different level of the clocktower. If you loot all of the rooms in the clocktower that this process opens, you will complete/unlock one of the Hogwarts Secrets, with each of the 3 secrets giving you a cosmetic appearance reward.
In the slytherin common room I noticed if you go up to the window out looking the lake and cast lumos the fish are attracted to the light and when you turn it off they get bored and swim away
Hi Andy, you suggest at 9:58 the possibility of "Future Game Instalments". Are you aware that this might in fact be a possibility? For one, I'd be really pleased if there were. The main "known" one being opening the shop in Hogsmeade, available to those with Playstation but currently not players like me, on PC. We have to wait something like a year to be able to play "Minding Your Own Business". Thanks also for the extra tricks n tips. I hadn't thought how to slow time to get into those Clock Tower rooms and the fireplace room in the Faculty Tower flew right over my head, so thanks for that. Great video as always. Thanks a lot.
Hey man, thank you for this awesome video! As I am an avid explorer of the castle, I am yet to find all references/Easter eggs/nods to etc. This definitely helps and makes the game just that much better as a whole. I really enjoyed this video! Thanks again!!
They would definitely have to fix the broom controls if they did that. The current broom controls are absolutely atrocious and would make quidditch not very enjoyable
After getting lvl3 alohomora and getting to the headmaster office you can open a door to Black's private bedroom. There is a letter from his wife talking about their kids - Belvina, Fineas, Cignus and Sirius. I don't know if this is THAT Sirius, but it would look like headmaster form Hogwart's Legacy is Sirius Black's father
They have 3 generations between them. Phineas is a grandparent of Sirius Grandfather (from his mother side). Same as saying: if you start the generations at Phineas (gen1) sirius is gen5
I found one really erlie on when you find the hole in the wall the black thing, before that after he reconstructs the bridge, on the right side there is another reference to niffler!
There's a more obvious reference to the Scabbers goblet. There's a whole field guide page for it in the Transfiguration classroom. It specifically mentions it was done by a second year student, which is what Ron was since that happened in CoS not SS.
At 10:25 you are alittle wrong. It was only in the movies where Sirus was help in a cell. In the books he was in Flitwick's office and they flew up to the window on Buckbeak.
Was gonna say that Bella didnt hit Sirius with the killing curse, but I was apparently thinking about the book. Must've been too long since I've seen the movies
Loving your videos, just come across you! With the follow the butterflies quest, are there more locations of butterflies to follow? Or just the one during the side quest?
So at the very begining of the game when you land after the dragon attack at that ruin... I believe there is a "nod" to the Indiana Jones Movies specifically the one where they go to get the cup of Christ... where there is a broken seal on the floor and right next to it is a golden challace... something I noted recently.

Same
Same! That ravenclaw girl with the quiz in library.
that k room tapestry takes you to a room that shows werewolfs.
You can also get Ron’s dress robes by finding all 3 secrets in hogwarts
You need alohomora to access 3 of them, though the fourth is in the Crossed Wands arena at the bottom.
the 'mandrake tea party happens' in a few places.
There is one about 2 mins into the game.
The sound of this pear in the kitchen is so funny😂 btw thanks for your video, keep it up! ❤
6:22
The niffler tea party is also placed on the mountain at the start of the game. If you walk back out of the castle ruins towards the bridge and turn left right after the gates they're positioned on the cliff overlooking the sea and the bridge. You can't interact with it though.
#teamearly - Oh man I didn't even know the secrets at the end! Glacius Charm also works on the fire in the Library too!
Great shout mate!!!
What a truly wonderful video, thank you Andy, keep up the great work!
Oh that's great to hear Tim, really makes it worthwhile reading comments like yours, really glad you enjoyed it and thanks for letting me know mate!
@@AndyReloads my pleasure Andy, it's easy to say with such great content, thank you!
@@AndyReloads you should make a spell diamond video showing how you have your spells set up and your favorite combos.
You also can see the niffler and pickett in the beginning of the game. When you are using portals. Just before the ruin with the statue on the right side.
the last episode - Glacious skill on fireplace - omg thank you so much! I ran around all stairs above and beyond..... finally!
There us another Sirius Easter egg where you go to the headmaster living quarters and on a nightstand you'll find a letter to Headmaster black where it mentions 2 names. One being Sirius, whom of course is a different Sirius, but it's a nice nod to Sirius in the harry potter time era.
This is so interesting thanks! Never would've noticed all of these without this video :)
So many UA-camrs posting on this game but I keep finding myself at your channel.
12:30 there’s also a fireplace in the library you can use glacius on to get behind
I knew all of the secret passages in the last chapter of this video except for the fireplace one at 12:30. That's awesome!
You can also use Glacius on the clock tower pendulum, that way you can cast a fire spell to access the next one when you are ready.
i rarely subscribe to people but you don't drone on about irrelevant things, your videos are straight to the point.
I've been around the castle for a long time and still don't recognize most of the areas in this video. It's so damn huge and epic
There’s another fireplace in the library where you can go through as well with glacias.
There is a Phoenix painting on the wall where should be a statue with the entrance to the Dumbledoor's office.
There's also a fireplace in the Library you can go through once you put out the fire.
These are soooo good. Missed a ton of these so thank you for sharing!
I was wondering about the stuffed toys having tea. Thanks for answering that!
In the slytherin common room I noticed if you go up to the window out looking the lake and cast lumos the fish are attracted to the light and when you turn it off they get bored and swim away
I love how they added the stairs in the common rooms when a wizard tries to go into the witches rooms it turns into a slide lol
Oh yeah I noticed that day 1 when I was just exploring lol
The doll and niffler are also on the side of the tower near the beginning when you and Professor Fig use the Portkey.
You can use the glacius spell to do the clock tower pendulum puzzle as well, so accessible early game
I kinda broke the wizards chess bit in the haunted shop. I just sprinted past instantly and won lol
I love this game, is absolutely amazing and full of love and nostalgia
Well done, i love Hogwarts Legacy
Thank you thank you thank you!!! You helped me with three different places I was going crazy trying to find!
Great stuff guys - looks good fun! "Tickle the pear" you say??!!! 😃
Surely quidditch as a DLC may not be a bad idea for this game. So far a lot of the contents in Hogwarts Legacy have been very good.
Do u play on pc and if yes , what GC do u have that the quality look so good . I have a rtx 3060 and the game doesnt look so amazing on my pc
The amount of detail in this game is insane
4:22 voldemort was born in 1926, Marvolo Gaunt is definitely older than Ominis as the game is set in the late 1800s
There's a more obvious reference to the Scabbers goblet. There's a whole field guide page for it in the Transfiguration classroom. It specifically mentions it was done by a second year student, which is what Ron was since that happened in CoS not SS.
This is so cool! I missed so many of these, thanks so much Andy
At 10:25 you are alittle wrong. It was only in the movies where Sirus was help in a cell. In the books he was in Flitwick's office and they flew up to the window on Buckbeak.
You can also free the clock handle just fun that they added more than one way to do quest
i had no idea about the last two! thank you so much
Great Video! I found the polyjuice potion one by mistake
Once they said a phoenix was missing I already guessed 😅
Was gonna say that Bella didnt hit Sirius with the killing curse, but I was apparently thinking about the book. Must've been too long since I've seen the movies
12:07 you can also use Glacius, and Confringo to release it
Loving your videos, just come across you! With the follow the butterflies quest, are there more locations of butterflies to follow? Or just the one during the side quest?
It’s more , but it’s just things to add to your room of requirement
Not sure if anyone noticed but the spells when your character is casting them mimic the partern when you learn them
This is amazing. They put so much effort and detail into this game
Only one I didn't know was the fireplace. I was wondering how the heck to get up there. So, thank you!
So at the very begining of the game when you land after the dragon attack at that ruin... I believe there is a "nod" to the Indiana Jones Movies specifically the one where they go to get the cup of Christ... where there is a broken seal on the floor and right next to it is a golden challace... something I noted recently.
I wish they would add quidditch similar to how blitzball was in final fantasy 10. I think that play style would work perfect
Looks like we might get a quidditch dlc excited to see what more they have for the story too. Haven’t beaten it yet
There are currently no planned dlc
@@Kujra doubt they won’t add it considering money is to be made
